Saeco Intelia HD8751/23 (Silver/Black) Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: HD8751/23Hello, I have a Saeco Intelia that turns itself off after about 20-30 minutes From where I can extend the shutdown time?
Keep using it and it won’t turn off. When I use it, I turn it off afterward to save power.
Hi, I have a Saeco Intelia HD8752, recently i noted that when the grounded coffee falls into the dispenser it was coming really wet. Now when the machine is turned on I get a message where it says "start" and like a drop of water picture then proceed to do the drip but with no water just the noise. The word "filter" is not in the screen anymore and the machine stays on for a long time, doesn't shut off automatically anymore.
Hi Ximena, thank you for reaching out. We regret to hear that your Saeco Intelia doesn't seem to be functioning as it should anymore. Our product specialists would be happy to investigate the device's behaviour further and to see how they can help you, so please don't hesitate to contact them at 1300 363 391 (Australia) or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand). Wishing you a nice rest of the week.

I have a saeco intelia hd8751. Lately I started having trouble with my coffee maker. After i pressed start, i was waiting to do the heating cycle, check doors, water level, coffee ... Starts, laughs, continues to function until it is heard that it forces the mechanism but fails to carry the process to the end. The coffee was throw into the place where it usually removes the residue without taking a drop of coffee. Why is this?
Hi Stephen, thanks for your question. We are sorry to hear that your Saeco started acting up like this. It's probably the best to let our product specialist take a look at your machine. Dear Philips, I rang your 1300 number today and was less than impressed with a) the wait time, and b) the less than helpful response from the customer service representative. The person was polite and am sure well meaning but did not offer any help or assistance and did not even seem to know the product/ machine I was referring to. The machine has been working fine, the 'no beans' image came up, even though there are beans in it, the machine grinds the beans, that it says are not there, doesn't make coffee, and then chucks perfectly good ground coffee into the waste receiver box... and then keeps the no beans sign up. I have scrubbed out the whole thing, no help. The C/S person on the phone said... Call some people in the Gold Coast, so I did and they want $146 just to look at it... Grrr... Can you please offer me suggestions? I am assuming a sensor is blocked or dirty... Thanks,
Firstly, let me say without ever having experienced Philips's support via telephone, that the problem you've experienced with them can readily be expected of every company these days - first-level help desk staff aren't trained to professionally diagnose faults on potentially thousands of different products; instead, they're there to help you get to an appropriate point of contact, be it a technician within their own company or a third-party service provider (such as the one you were directed to in this instance).
Secondly, to resolve your fault, have a look at this video ;

Unless you speak German, you'll want to enable the "Closed Captions" (there are well-written English subtitles on the video). It's not for your specific model, but the principles are the same.
Hello! Thanks for sharing your experience here online. However, we regret hearing that your experience with our other team wasn't pleasant. We can understand if you are a bit hesitant, but we would like to advise you to get in touch with our product specialists. Since we want to initiate this, we would like to receive your email address and phone number via a private message on Product Review. We will share this with the team, so that they can reach out to you!

I’ve got the saeco intelia & a red spanner with number15 comes up can I fix this?
Sorry I'm not a technician.
Need to speak with Saeco/Phillips tech support
Hi Ariki, Thanks a lot for reaching out. We're sorry to hear that you were experiencing this error. If the issue hasn't been resolved in the meantime, we kindly advise you to place back the water tank a few times. When using an extra water filter, we advise you to remove the filter from the water tank, turn the machine off and turn it on again. Please do this twice, make sure to turn the switch off at the back of the machine and unplug it. If this doesn't do the trick, we kindly advise you to reach out to our customer support (if you haven't already done that, of course). You're able to reach out to our product specialists on 1300 363 391 if you're based in Australia or on 0800 658 224 if you're based in New Zealand. They're more than willing to assist you further. Please know that you can always reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter (@PhilipsCare) as well.
Kind regards,
The Philips Australia Team
A guest accidentally poured water into the pre-ground coffee compartment. Will this cause problems? How do I fix it?
Hi there, Thanks for your question, it's good that you reached out to us in this case. As we're not sure what exact problems this could cause, we advise you to contact our Canadian Saeco specialists. They're available from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST on 1-800-933-7876. They're more than willing to share their knowledge with you!

Hi
I have a saeco intelia which is about 6 years old and the screens not working. Please help.
Ann
Hi Anouska, That sure is odd. Did this happen out of nowhere? It sounds a bit weird, but could you try to turn the power plug 180 degrees and put it back in the socket? Or could you try another socket perhaps? If this doesn't help, it may need to be inspected by our service team. Could you contact our team at 1300 363 391?
Kind regards,
The Philips Australia team
Hi,
My Saeco Intelia Evo does not switch on anymore. I press the swith on/off button and no reaction.
I tested the plug socket, it works. Is there any fuse I can verify and if so, where is it located?
If I cannot fix it myself, can you advise on a place in Singapore where I can get it fixed?
Thanks
Alex
Hi Alex, we can imagine that this is not what you expected. If an error code (Exx) is shown on the display, check the solutions in this link: external link . If not, please reach out to us via 1300 363 391 (Mondays to Fridays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST and Saturdays: 7:00 am - 1:00 pm EST) Thank you!
My machine is only filling a half cup when a full cup is indicated. When trying to set the memory for a full cup it stops at half a cup and won't allow me to set it for more. it seems that the water is running more slowly out of the dispenser than usual. Any ideas?
Hi Kathy, thanks for asking. We advise you to call us on 1300 363 391 (if you are in Australia) we like to get in touch and see if we can help.

The Philips Australia Team
Occasionally not enough beans are getting from the hopper to the grind unit. As a result the ground coffee is simply getting dumped. I took the machine apart and the grinder looked clean but I did give it a good cleaning. I would appear the plastic shield in the bean hopper does not always vibrate enough to get beans down to the grind unit. Is there some way I can fix this?
Hi James, Thank you for your question about your Saeco Intelia. We'd like to help you with your query about the beans and the grind unit. Could it be that the tube is clogged? Could you please specify how and how often you normally clean your espresso machine? We recommend to clean the brew group weekly, please take a look at the manual for instructions: external link .
If this doesn't solve the problem, please feel free to contact us again. You can also reach us via Facebook, Twitter @PhilipsCare or if you're located in Australia you can give us a call at 1300 363 391.
Have a nice day!
Kind regards,
The Philips Australia Team.
Hi my Intellia has been sitting for 12 months ,It was working perfectly, just lost the taste for coffee, Well recently I bought a bag of Beans ,Started the machine and my LCD is dead it is green but with no instructions or writing on it, thankfully I remembered the functions, Is there any way to reset the machine so the LCD works again, as I said it was fine before giving it a rest for 12 months? Lol.. Thanks Tj ;-)
Hi Trevor, good question. Good you still know the functions! :) We’re not sure whether there is an option to reset the LCD screen, but our team of product experts can look into this for you. You can reach out to them at 1300 363 391 for Australia and 0800 658 224 for New Zealand.

Whilst descaling the water stopped flowing from the steam wand. I was on my second tank of water.
What can I do?
Hello Albertine, thanks for asking. What was displayed on the screen of the unit before it stopped dispensing water? What was displayed after the unit stopped dispensing water? We would like to hear from you.
My saeco intelia led display has gone to red only! Can not see what we want to select . It is 2 years old
You will need to take it to a specialised repairer. Call Saeco to find your nearest, and check your warranty. Mine was out by 6 months.
Hi there, you need to get it repaired at the nearest Service Center. To find that, please click this link: external link and then click the orange button 'service locator'. Fill in your postcode or city to find one.
Hi Rubysliplers64. I had the same problem and it cost approx $275 to fix. I fixed it myself and so can you! I will post a video soon
My screen has blacked out. What does this mean?
Hi lindae, in this instance we would suggest that you contact our Consumer care team on 1300 363 391, we would like to discuss this in details.
Kind Regards,
The Philips Australia Team.
Hi lindae my screen blacked out too - the contrast just became too dark (you could still read the screen from an angle). Mine was under warranty (2 years) so took it to an approved service centre and it was fixed for free.
How to make a coffee with ground beans with an intelia machine?
Hi Guy! Please press the aroma/pre-ground button on your touch pad (picture of the bean and spoon) until on the display the spoon shows. Then insert the ground coffee using the measuring spoon in to the compartment positioned next to the coffee bean hopper, press one of the coffee buttons and the unit will start the brewing cycle. Enjoy! Kind regards, the Saeco Australia Team.
How easy is it.to make a latte? After is there a lot of mess to clean up?
It's super easy, press a button for the coffee, then press another for the milk. The only mess to clean is flushing the milk dispenser... Takes only a moment
A Latte is made with two-thirds of hot milk and one third milk froth. Add one or two espresso as you like. You can use the steam arm on the machine to heat and froth the milk. Easy! Kind regards from the Saeco Australia team.
The display screen on my Saeco Intelia has blacked out and no long d displays the icons. Is this a common problem and if so how do I fix it? Machine was purchsed in sep 2012
Hi there, have you checked the contrast? It may need adjustment, if not give saeco a call, good cust service
Yes, mine did the same thing. I called Saeco (Phillips) because it was less than a year old. They told me to email a copy of the receipt and use a reference number and they'd take care of it. I did this and they never responded. I called them again and they told me to email it again. I did. Nothing happened. Terrible customer service. So now I'm just using it without the display. My next step is to order the display from parts for $40 and try to put it in myself. I need to buy another superautomatic for my vacation home. I think I'll try a different brand next time.
