Completed EWP above 11m Course at Port Melbourne facility. The trainer Sean Kilgariff was very knowledgeable, passionate, extremely approachable and very eager to make us all relax so we can perform better for what is a very intense course, ensuring a great result. 10/10 highly recommend. I have already booked for the EWP under 11m, and the Construction Induction Course!

Facilitator (Drew) outlined & delivered all requirements of the course clearly so we knew what was expected of us as Learners. Learning facilities were as realistic as possible for a training environment. Certificates & Statements were received within 24hrs of completing course. All up great experience, will return for any further certifications or licensing. (Work Safely at Heights 13/05/26) Show details

The online Trainer course is a dud, I don’t recommend. It’s pretty much impossible to get as many volunteers as they require to pretend to be students to complete the homework I gave up. Waste of money.

Before starting the course, I felt a bit nervous. On the presentation day, I even felt somewhat intimidated being surrounded by people with a very high academic level. I was worried that I might not be able to keep up, especially because English is not my native language. I am always very critical of myself, and I knew there would be something new… Read more

to learn. In this case, the course was full of new terminology, and it felt like a constant daily challenge with myself.

However, my computer skills gave me an important tool. Many times, I translated content into my own language to better understand the material. That helped me stay on track and fully grasp the information.

There is something very important I would like to highlight. As I always say, it’s not just about how you learn, but how you are taught. In my opinion, Dave Holland has a very strong presence, and his experience truly resonates with you. At the same time, his ability to communicate and explain complex topics is on another level. I would be satisfied with just a small percentage of his teaching ability. Even though there is a lot of content, it is difficult not to listen to him from beginning to end. I believe that if it had been another instructor, I might have easily lost focus, but that was not the case here.

I have not only learned a lot academically, but also personally. The course made me reflect deeply, and most importantly, it has given me the possibility in the future to help others and prevent accidents wherever possible. I am very happy that I took this course and had the opportunity to learn from Dave.

Areas for improvement

One possible improvement would be offering the course material in another language (Spanish, in my case), as this would support non-native English speakers and help reinforce understanding.

Additionally, the brightness of the large screen was quite high, and after many hours it became slightly uncomfortable. Having the option to reduce the screen brightness would improve overall comfort during long sessions.

Overall, I would rate the experience 10 out of 10.

I’ve just completed the Cert IV in Training and Assessment with Pinnacle Safety and Training (Perth) and can genuinely say it was one of the best professional development experiences I’ve had in years. My instructor, Fiona Noble, was outstanding - she is highly experienced, calm, and deeply knowledgeable. As someone who has been teaching and… Read more

training for over 25 years, I immediately felt I was in safe hands. Fiona knows the VET system inside out and brings a level of maturity and professionalism that makes a demanding program feel both rigorous and supportive.

The two-week fast-track format is intense: full days on site, plus homework, filming requirements, and assessments. I completed all 16 Tasks, 12 quizzes, and four filmed mini-lectures between 17 November 2025 and 8 January 2026 (with a two-week Christmas break in the middle). The filming component, in particular, was confronting, even for someone like me with decades of lecturing experience, because being recorded for assessment is a very different thing to teaching in a lecture theatre. That said, it was incredibly valuable and sharpened my practice.

The Pinnacle Perth training site is excellent: well-set-up rooms, good air-conditioning, and proper facilities for lunch breaks. I also learned a lot from the other students - the mix of backgrounds and experience added real depth to the program.

Importantly, I came to this course as a PhD holder who seriously considered applying for RPL. I’m very glad I didn’t. This is not a “tick-the-box” qualification. It’s a genuine professional bridge into the VET and TAFE system - covering course design, assessment, validation, moderation, and compliance in ways that are quite different from the university sector. For anyone with a Masters or PhD wondering whether they should just RPL it: don’t assume this course has nothing to offer you. It absolutely does. I would highly recommend Pinnacle - and Fiona Noble in particular - to anyone wanting a rigorous, well-run, and professionally delivered Cert IV.

Currently enrolled in the cert 4 health and safety self paced online course. Whilst some adult learning principles have been followed, many have simply been ignored, making for a very laborious, boring and ineffective learning experience. There is no explicit connection with learning outcomes and what is being assessed. In fact learning outcomes… Read more

are not explicitly stated, certainly not in an evidence based format. The requirement for multiple role plays is odd. There does not seem to be a clear justification for that many role plays (there are a lot- but why???), and it’s not clear what they are assessing that cannot be assessed using a different assessment method. There is very, very limited mention of psychosocial hazards which is what I am interested in. The examples used don’t relate at all to my field of interest. There is limited choice with respect to focus on areas of interest. I emailed for support around one thing. Granted I was promptly responded to but with a one sentence answer that wasn’t really sufficient. I didn’t bother asking for further support. There is an excessive amount of tasks to complete. Some are repetitious, and there is the requirement to source documents from a variety of places across the LMS. It’s confusing, onerous and takes up way too much mental bandwidth which I should be dedicating to learning the material. The information presented does not conform to universal design principles so if you have a learning preference, you are unlikely to be catered for. There is a lot of time spent on things like teaching you how to write a report and the importance of good spelling and grammar. If you have managed to complete the course to that point online, I think teaching someone about how to structure an investigation report is pretty pointless. It’s a real struggle to get through this material. I would not recommend.

Very happy with the White Card course content, Trainer Chris is a seasoned professional who delivered the material in an engaging way. The facilities are great, easy to drive to, close to a good cafe, and the qualification was delivered the same day. Sole traders, small businesses, and companies can send their staff here and do group trainings. Pinnacle offer a wide range of courses -highly recommend

Fiona noble brings a positive attitude every day and creates an environment where you feel supported and confident in what you’re doing, she is firm but fair, Nothing ever feels like too much trouble for her, and she genuinely cares about helping others succeed, as long as you put the work and effort in.

I just completed the Cert IV in WHS with Rachel and Pete as our instructors, and I can honestly say they’re absolute champions. They made the entire course enjoyable and genuinely interesting from start to finish. Without a doubt the worst course l have ever completed. Had two seperate people (Milo & Nina) hang up on me when l didn't know how to make changes to my computer (I'm old and don't use them). They advised me it was "a you problem".. l questioned how an RTO had no scope for making 'reasonable adjustments' - a term they should absolutly understand,… Read more

and was advised there were none (paper based, verbal questioning ect) - all pretty basic training stuff. As for the course itself, they are still in the 90's using obtuse scenarios designed to confuse and muddy yhe waters (long scenarios, unrelated to the actual question - so very outdated. Would NEVER use them again (only this time as my employer clearly wanted the cheapest way forward).

When I enrolled, I was so excited. After diving into the instruction on how to find my way through the course, I was absolutely lost. When I saw how many assessments there were, I was shocked and realised how much non-educational material is ready for students. After half a year of failing one assessment after another, I just accepted that I had… Read more

lost around $1,000 on this course. I will never attend any online course again. Only face-to-face, or none at all... Honestly, I must say I am disappointed with how it is run, the lack of support here, and the number of positive reviews I saw, which changed my mind about paying for this money black hole.
