Product was okay - but not the SPAM afterwards!
I ordered two shirts online, which arrived and were fine. But the Spam I received afterwards was unlike anything I have ever had from an online purchase - endless promotional emails. Multiple times a day! Nearly crashed my inbox. I quickly unsubscribed and will avoid them in future.
Extremely Poor Customer Service @ Liverpool store
Today I went to liverpool store to refund my dress which didn’t fit me. I had bought them online and had my tax invoice on my email. At first I spoke to the staff she said she can’t refund without physical receipt, I told her i have tax invoice and showed her email then she said she needs to speak to her manager her name was soledad. She said it’s their policy only to refund with physical receipt when I asked her to show me her alleged policy she said she has a book in her office n she cannot show. Then without permission she came to my persona...l space and took my bag when I asked her to return it back she asked me to leave the store. She even threatened me she will call security guard I replied back i am not leaving the store and she can call whoever she wants. After the long conversation she spoke to her area manager checked my driving license, my paypal account, my online account all my credit cards linked to paypal to refund as if I have committed a fraud. Why on earth a customer needs to go through this hassle when I had a tax invoice on my phone. Looking at my paypal account is absolutely irrelevant and the drama she created to harass customer and disrespect given is simply astounding. From today I am Never going to shop with them neither i would recommend!! ohhh by the way she even said not to come to Liverpool store again.. With this kind of treatment Who would want to shop with them ?? What a poor customer service!! Absolutely disgusting
Barbara, at Portmans Bankstown
this evening I received a highly professional Customer service from Barbara, at Portmans, Bankstown store.
Barbara is very much customer oriented, she approached us With a happy, polite, respectful and welcoming attitude. she listened carefully to what I was looking for. She has a special talent and passion for fashion, using her creativity, I felt I was being assisted by a stylist. She even concentrated sharply on the exchange process while answering my 8 year old daughter's continuous questions. Even my daughter felt like she was a fashionista. Honestly it was such a pleasant experience!

Liverpool store never again!
Came into the liverpool store today with mum (16/10/19). When mum went to look at a rack of clothes that she liked, the saleswoman in her late 40s or 50s stumpy with a front fringe stared us down much, did not even offer ANY assistance whatsoever. Then she proceeded to say , that has no tag, dont touch it, put it back, she was the most passive aggressive person in that whole shopping centre. The we proceeded out of that toxic store. I'm not sure where or who trained her but as someone who works in retail, she is a very big liability for portman...s. Word of advice do not go to the liverpool location when you see that woman. Not a review to tarnish the brand, but if youre going to shop at portmans parramatta and macarthur are leaps and bounds better in terms of customer service ability.
Excellent customer service
customer service at Liverpool Westfield by Elizabeth was very nice, she helped me to find nice sale items to suit my figure and got really good bargains. However only thing was the change room was so messed up and no big mirrors to see how the overall dress looks like from distance...
Extremely high postage
Postage for online shopping is extremely high. And to charge a fee to collect your purchase in store is so wrong on so many levels. High end stores don’t even charge to collect in store!
Excellent customer service
Although the Wetherill Park store is small and doesn’t have the range as other bigger stores, the staff there are very helpful and offer to find sizes in other stores.
Went into Portmans Macarthur Square today to purchase clothing to take overseas. Not once was I asked if I needed assistance as the giggling assistants in the shop were way to busy discussing their personal lives. Oh well spent $500 in Sportsgirl instead where the service was brilliant .
Poor quality material
Bought two pairs of work pants at $90 a pop. After 2 weeks I've noticed all the elastic coming out in the crotch area and back. It looks like I have pubic hair growing through my pants. Not a professional look. Poor quality products at a ridiculous price
I purchased two pairs of "Easy does it" pants from the Garden City store in Western Australia. The sales lady told me she had hers for three years, and were still great! WRONG! within ten minutes the pants stretch and don't return. By the end of the day they were almost falling off me. These are not cheap pants, avoid at all costs!

I visited the Portmans store at in North Ryde recently.
I had visited many other similar stores in my local area and couldn't find pants to start my new office job.

Love their clothes!
I have always liked their design for workwear. Quality vs price has always been good. Almost always on sale. I made a lot of online purchases as well, in the unlikely case of a change of mind, it's quite easy to get a refund too.
Online service is a joke
I purchased few items online and paid delivery. I live in an apartment and clearly it isn't a safe place to be leaving parcels around as it isn't monitored by a concierge. My portmans delivery was delivered and placed unmonitored on the apartment mailboxes and when i contact the online service team about this. All i get in response is, we allow auspost to leave unattended if safe to do so. Yeah i get it if it is safe to do so, but leaving the package on the apartment boxes where anyone can come and take it?!?! Like seriously, customer service d...id not answer my question, it wasn't a safe place to leave so why was it left? What's the point of me paying for shipping and purchasing online if it is going to be left in unsafe places. Considering portmans is on the pricey side, their online team is an absolute joke! Would not purchase online from them again.
first time order online from portman ,unfortunately what i were order to small so i bought back to the store for the bigger size , but don't have in stock beacuse sale item so i asked for a refund said no coz sale item , ask for store credit said no . the staff told me you only can exchange anything in store for the amount i was spend on line . never again order online .
Good store layout
The Soutlhland store has a very warm layout. You can easily see all new arrivals and sale is very clear. They have a great range of workwear. I bought all my pieces from here for my new wordrobe. The quality is acceptable, havent had a major issue previousely or recently. Also the team there is very patient and polite. You always get a warm welcome when you walk in. Well done keep up the good work
Fountain gate service
I been shopping at Portmans for several years and always had very good experiences. But on boxing day 2018, I went to Fountain gate shopping centre Portmans. The Lady who served me had very bad attitude. I tried on 6 items - clothes and kept in on the chair inside the changing room. She was very upset and snapped at me for leaving them in the room and said she will now need to iron them and that it was 1/2 hr of her time wasted. I had just changed and wanted to ask for another size. Seeing her attitude, I didn't bother. When I went to the cou...nter to pay for the clothes. She was griping about me and my children over heard it. Frankly, I didn't mess the clothes and also she had no right to whine behind my back that too in front of my children. So unprofessional and very rude. I hope the management does something about it.
Wetherill Park staff
I just want to say that I’ve been shopping at Wetherill Park portmans for over 15 yrs and the service has always been ok but yesterday I experienced the best customer service I’ve ever received,as I am a larger older lady I was looking for something to make me feel beautiful for my sons wedding,the store manger approached me straight away as she could see I was in desperate need of help ,she introduced herself to me and made me smile and relax straight away ,I told her what I was looking for And within seconds she had selected out 5 different d...resses that I would never of thought of trying on ,she patiently waited for me in the hinge rooms as I tried all outfits on ,I was absolutely amazed at how relaxed she made me feel as I’ve always had body issues ,she knew what dresses to pick for my body shape and new exactly what to say to make me feel beautiful in every dress I tried ,she offered to take photos of me in the dresses so I could see how amazing they looked ,I’ll never forget her as she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable,I purchased my dream dress and it’s all thanks to her ,it’s so good to finally walk into a store and find staff who know their products and know how to be polite,the management of the girls in the store is amazing and I’d like to thank the store manager Megan for being such a beautiful person and making my experience in portmans a great one ... great job Megan I’ll definitely be back to see you ...
Quality has gone down
I use to do basically all of my clothe shopping with Portmans. Was very happy with the quality, consistency of sizes and the price point is medium range which I find there's not too many stores where blouses for example are over $60 but under $100. Still love their styles which are reminiscent of more expensive brands. However, ever since around April of this year quality has gone down dramatically. This was around the same time that I noticed items getting cheaper and big sales on a more regular basis. I use to return maybe one in ten items, u...sually because of the fit not the quality. Just received an order of four items today and I will be returning all of them. The fabric on the pants are paper thin, they're something I'd expect to pay $30 for not $70, which was the sale price and the top has an uneven hemline. It's pretty disappointing and I'm sure that they're having to handle more returns now. Please increase your quality again as people are willing to spend more for it. I'm giving 3 stars because I use to love them and haven't given up hope just yet.
