Portmans customer service help centre is absolutely awful. I’ve had an email issue in where I haven’t received promotional emails from them for a long time. I’ve called them, emailed them to find out why, it has been escalated apparently to IT, it is now over two months and the issue is still not resolved. (even though they said they would). They just really don’t care and honestly they don’t know what they’re doing. This whole organisation is awful, even the customer service (or lack of) in store is terrible. There’s no such thing as customer service or care anymore. They have no interest in solving any issue, no accountability, no follow through.
I must congratulate Tina N at your Highpoint store for an excellent customer experience. She showed exceptional customer service and was very helpful with styling advice. The website is really frustrating. I tried to use my gift card ,the balance was deducted, but I’m still being charged the full amount at checkout. This needs to be fixed, especially if you’re selling overpriced clothing.

Subpar Clothing Construction – I’d give zero. Since when has it been a thing for Portmans not to adhere to what is 101 pattern making and fabric cutting. price. Please lift your game, consumers aren’t as ignorant to garment construction as you obviously think we are, otherwise you would not be selling products that should not be clearing your production line and quality control.
Portmans is my favourite store – The Portmans in the Canberra Outlet Centre is fantastic. Everyone that works there is so lovely and helpful. Got the right one! – Last week I bought a blazer from epping plaza. Fabric is great, colour is nice and size is perfect. Moreover, there were so many collections with diverse styles. Perfect place for formal wears. However, in few styles I don't have a size.

I bought a dress online that was a poor fit on me and returned it. After not receiving any information about my return I rang them and emailed them over the next few weeks. she would escalate the case to her supervisor, but in my next email when I asked her to do this it was ignored and I still got the same reply that the refund had been processed. I put in a paypal dispute and Portmans did not respond to this by the date required so paypal closed the case in my favour. Very poor service from a reputable company.

Rude manager birkenhead point – Absolutely disgusting behaviour from Birkenhead Point manager. Rude and dismissive when asked for refund. Lashed out physically with her hand to gesture for us to go away. Also asked personal questons about our relationship. Came across arrogant rude and quite frankly cheap
Don't shop online – They hardly ever have the online items instore, so you are forced to order online. Poor quality material used on items – Main problem is quality of material used! Tops looked great in photos online but when delivered, poor quality of material was disappointing and as I sew my own clothes, the material I use is way better. The train ticket is $4.50. The sale was $120. Stores need to remember that they are competing against the convenience of online shopping.

store in Australia will give cash in return for a Afterpay payment.- that was the excuse for not returning. They gave gift card and I still have to pay for the Afterpay for a dress that’s not even with me. If I had to post the dress to their wharehouse, I would have to pay $40-50 for postage. and said won’t get the money have to return online only because it’s Afterpay. So when retuned with my delivery charge, they even deduct $5 for order fee maybe?? So alll in all lost over $25 with just an interaction with them but thankfully haven’t got any of their stuff cluttering my house.

Great products – I actually am a big fan of Portmans and mostly buy on line . However I have bought in store both in Melbourne where I had great service and in Hobart where I had the most astounding service. ROME Wide Leg Jeans – I brought some " Rome Wide Leg Jeans" and paid express post as I needed them quickly for a work event. I was so happy when they arrived in time. HOWEVER I then went to put them on to wear to the work event only to find out that the seam down the thigh of the left leg was not stitched.
