Local that has branched out... It all began as the MIM Employees Credit Union... My recent experience was very pleasant and professional..offered me information whilst I attempted to withdraw from the ATM...which I wasn't able to do with the available denominations..and I was also advised it had been reported..the machines were also temporarily… Read more
out of receipts...so even though I was on a right schedule I was happy to go into the branch and the very same teller that was assisting a man outside had returned within the branch and served me (the other on duty teller was serving another customer).. Happy birthday to Mount Isa recently 55!
QLD Country Bank is the best bank I’ve ever switched to, and I don’t regret it at all. They are much better than my previous banks, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The receptionist was especially helpful and answered all my questions very thoroughly. You can even choose the colour of your bank card, which is a nice touch. They… Read more
also show you how to set up automatic transactions and help you get the best interest rates. Online banking is simple and easy to use, with no complications, and purchases are secured with a text confirmation code.
They also don’t close on regional holidays, unlike some other banks.
I highly recommend them as they are a simple and straight forward bank and their staff are polite towards people.
Everytime i visit my local branch, the customer service that i receive is excellent! I was always get greeted with a smile as well and treated with respect. had one recently and the lady helped me to the best of her knowledge, she even drew a little diagram on a blank piece of paper and described it more accurately.

It was my first time going in, my father had pre-booked my appointment at the Aitkenvale Branch because I’ve been so busy I had no time to do myself, anyways after coming in, I had this lovely lady who served me and was honestly amazing, she listened and answered all my questions. I have only ever been with one bank so to come here and receive the service I got that day, I am very pleased and happy to be apart of Queensland Country Bank now Show details · 1

I had an easy time creating an account with you guys. You understood that I needed a trusted bank desperately and that’s what you delivered. And as someone who is new in Australia I will forever be grateful for that. Thank you. Show details · 1
Follow-up · So far so good. Absolutely love the online banking and that they send notifications prior to any future updates. I do use their app and it’s very easy to navigate around. Queensland Country is most definitely the bank for you.

A year ago, we were introduced to Kara, who helped us navigate the path to buying our first home. We are incredibly grateful for her guidance. Before meeting Kara, we were living paycheck to paycheck, constantly stressed about unexpected bills. We couldn’t afford car insurance or larger bills, and buying a house seemed impossible. She helped us… Read more · 1
gain control of our bills using smart budget, and built our savings from scratch. We went from barely scraping by to having money in our accounts, including an emergency fund, something we had never achieved before. She also guided us through reducing our debts and was always patient and knowledgeable, answering every question we had.
Kara’s support extended beyond financial planning. When it came time to house hunt, she accompanied us through the entire loan process. She handled paperwork, answered our questions patiently and clearly, and even showed us how our finances would change with different house prices. She also managed the insurance side, ensuring our protection and keeping us informed every step of the way.
What truly sets Kara apart is her personal touch. She never made us feel like just another client; she treated us like family. Her support, knowledge, and genuine care have completely transformed our financial lives and our future.
If you’re seeking someone who genuinely cares and will support you from budgeting basics to the keys of your first home, Kara is the person for you. We highly recommend her.
I am a very happy customer with the growth of QCB since its inception and merger with Queenslanders Credit Union after its merger with Ipswich Credit Union. I think you still have some of my former staff (friends) working at your Brisbane branch. Some history .I joined Qld Public Service Credit Union (QPSCU) from the SGIO Building Society … Read more · 1
in 1982, Its assets were about 18M and retired as CEO in 1993 with assets of nearly 200M. My Chairman Brian Merrin thanked me for my contribution in saving HIS Credit Union. .If interested I still have some media clippings and CU magazines. I recall having to travel to USA to receive an international marketing award for Credit Unions. Arthur Chalmers was the Manager of QPSCU since inception .He retired in about 1983 & lives on the Central Coast of NSW.. I do not know how interested you are in history but if you are I am quite happy to be interviewed about my 11 years with QPSCU.
Don't Put It Off Any Longer. Get AWAY from THE BIG FOUR!! – Opened a brand new bank account with QCB yesterday, in person, at a branch in Nelly Bay, Magnetic Island,QLD. Savannah, customer service person of the year in my opinion, informed me clearly and concisely on all aspects of my new account. I am leaving St George bank after basically being told by phone staff to just go online to complete a direct… Read more · 1
debit block. But how St George and their arrogant staff pushed me toward a bank account change isn't the main reason. There is only 1 St George branch in Townsville in a difficult spot in town to get too. The staff there always dealt with me in a condescending manner and I never felt welcome walking through their doors. Not to mention the phone staff dealing with me so abruptly. At least up here in QLD, I can deal with a customer service HUMAN, and not be stuck on hold, or deal with an overly complex and convoluted ONLINE EXPERIENCE. Also, no more $2 fee for taking cashout of an ATM. The banking system is as broken as alot of things with society in general, but the refreshing and welcoming service staff at Queensland Country deserve a pay rise, or extra perks for their commendable service.

We are so fortunate to be customers of Queensland Country Bank. The bank is always open, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and we always feel our banking needs are well met. Country Bank. Banking is not always about on-line banking, although this element of banking is useful and important. Banking is also about having a close association with the staff of a local branch, and we are blessed to have such a close association with our local branch of Queensland Country Bank. We love Queensland Country Bank's good old-fashioned banking.
I choose Queensland country bank because I've been a customer for many years. And find the safety of security strong in their changes with online usage. Find customer service helpful and explainable. Show details · 1
I switched from a "big bank" that used to be fine but is now just another corporate bank owned by certain international interests that do NOT align with my views of the world and basically push woke nonsense. I wanted to switch to a more local bank that doesn't - so after some research I decided on QCB and I cannot be happier. Every interaction I have had has been pleasant, hassle free and the staff are excellent. I wish I had done this sooner. Show details · 1

Denied a loan because we spent a little extra to throw our daughter a birthday party. Bull! Dont bother you need to earn more then $120k per year and have more than $550k in equity in your home, more than $10k in savings before theyll even offer you a small personal loan. Worst bank to deal with, they deny your loan 2minutes before they close on Friday arvo by phone then hang up on your 45 seconds later Show details
Time is money, my time is wasted when asked to do something stupid like swapping a fifty to get smaller denominations. WHY? It is all cash at the end of the day. Besides the delay resulted in another dozen people getting delayed in their lunch break. Ask yourself WAS that really necessary? NO it was not. Show details

Staff are very knowledgeable and courteous at all times. They greet us as we arrive, often using our name, which shows they recognize us. They are all very helpful. If the manager is at the front counter he always makes a point of acknowledging our presence. Our whole family use the bank at various branches and we all particularly like the QCB Smart Budget. In my 84 years I have used many banks but none have ever met the high standards of Queensland Country in fast response, friendly service and just doing that little bit extra for the customer. Reliable and helpful even though I would only be classed as a small account. Show details · 1
Without a doubt, this is the most helpful and accommodating bank I have dealt with and the staff are always friendly and helpful in every way. I can ring my local bank and talk to an person I understand who satisfied my requests. The four other banks I have used have all lacked in service and have taken overreaching actions to determine what I do with my own money. Queensland Country Bank all the way for me and quite a number of my friends. Show reply

I bank in Maleny Qld country Bank and Its always friendly and welcoming. Bank service is no different to any other bank although probably more user friendly. I wouldn't want to bank anywhere else...Highly recommend if you want to be treated as a human rather than a number. Show details · 1
We changed banks when our last bank closed all its branches in Cairns. We couldn’t be happier with Queensland Country & have developed a fantastic relationship with the staff that know your name & remember thing you have talked about in the past. It’s never a drama for them to help you out & treat you like someone they really want to help where they can. Not just “hello, good thanks, next” like a 15year old serving you at Coles. We had a great experience with Queensland Country Bank Maleny during our home loan process. The team was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely supportive from start to finish. A special thank you to John, who made everything feel clear and manageable and was always happy to answer questions along the way. It was refreshing to deal with a local branch that really cares.
