In general, I am happy with QCB, its interest rates for seniors is good and I have generally found the staff in branches and over the phone to be friendly and willing to help. I had a large transaction out of an account for a subscription I had not signed up for as the vendor had it in the fine print that my single payment for a one off… Read more
transaction "may" be linked to a subscription - which apparently it was (without my consent). No message about the upcoming payment is sent and boom - the money is gone. Spoke to Queensland Country Bank and we cancelled the card, but they have said that Visa may let the vendor know what the new number is. I provided them with anecdotal evidence of this site's behaviour and the multiple platforms they use for billing. They have come back and said it reall doesn't advise I start a dispute for the $350 charge and if I do, it will cost me $35 per transaction - and here's the kicker - they still can't guarantee me I won't get charged again! As I have provided them with everything they need - business names, websites and their billing platforms, I have told them if I get billed again I will expect the bank to cover the costs. THis is a great bank if nothing goes wrong, just be aware they are a lightweight when it comes to fighting for their clients.
I enquired online about opening an account, and the ensuing service was first rate. I received a fast response with clear answers to my questions and follow up. Customer service was outstanding and personal. No AI responses and when I phoned I spoke to a human! I have now opened an account and am in the process of transferring all my banking to… Read more · 1
QCB. I've had previous experience with this bank when they were the Isa Mine Employees Credit Union, and they still offer the same unique and personalised service - the reason for my returning to them.
Have totally blocked me doing what I want to do with my own money. Only joined in June but withdrawing my money now. Treating me like a 2 year old (I'm 72) and not listening to anything I have to say. Final insult was sending me a 'cease and desist letter' from their 'fraud department' like I was a criminal.

Banking that’s friendly and effective – I’m retired and my contact with institutions is typically limited to contact centres. This experience can sometimes ruin your day maybe your week. You are number 23 in the queue. Press 8 if you are sick of waiting etc etc. With Queensland Country bank the response time is alway very quick. requirements to ensure your understanding and facilitate the requirements promptly. All of this is done with a politeness and courtesy not often found any more. My banking with QCB is efficient and effective and is a part of my life that just works. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

I don't know how to do video reviews but I have been with this bank for about 40 years and wouldn't change to any other bank. I have found them very reliable with friendly helpful staff members. Show details · 1
Follow-up · I haven't got very much to write about. I am an aged pensioner, don't do any online banking, my husband and I are satisfied with rates and we don't have any fees. All up, we are still very happy with Queensland Country Bank. Not changing! NW.
the PC Banking platform is extremely user friendly, I use it about four times a week. I use the app on my mobile almost daily, it makes balance checking and transferring a breeze, love it. Show reply
Follow-up · The desktop version is easy to navigate. Clean and clear to find your way around. The Smart Budget is probably the only feature I don't use as I have no need for it. I like the fact that I have seven accounts in there and I can move them around in any order I wish. Makes it great for Bills, Holidays, Grandchildren and special project accounts. I can swap $$$ between them with a couple of clicks, easy.

Clunky and inconsistent – At first, with no wait times to reach someone over the phone, and friendly, thoughtful and thorough answers to initial "new customer" questions, I thought I'd landed on a fantastic bank, and maybe they are if you want to bank directly at a branch. For those of us who are looking to do our banking online, though, the service is appalling, and… Read more
I'm not going to wait to find out if their dysfunctional online application process translates to their internet banking and iOS app offerings.
In terms of the online application process - there are issues with drop down boxes not functioning correctly regardless of what kind of browser is used (I tried four different major internet browsers...still not working - and yes, I have a brand new computer with up to date software).
The ID verification process doesn't seem to be working properly either - it literally told me it had been unsuccessful after a split second (yes, less than a second) of "processing" the ID details I'd entered.
When I rang to get the ID verification sorted over the phone, the consultant told me that because I live in a distant state with no QCB branches, that there'd be no way I could apply for membership and open an account (and this was after she'd checked with the fraud team). She spoke to me in a patronising and disrespectful way, and implied that my ID may not have been valid (why I'd bother putting myself through a dysfunctional online membership application process, and trying on several different browsers, with an invalid/expired ID, is beyond me).
I then managed to reach someone who was slightly more logical and offered to send me paperwork to complete and return to them via post (!!).
Why bother when one can open an account with NAB in minutes, all over the phone?
This bank may have a few friendly staff members interspersed among the patronising and condescending ones, but it seems to be living in the dark ages and I'm not going to join them.

Don’t share personal information with anyone online – QCB has been my bank for over five years now, I don’t think I’ve had any problem with them in terms of service provision and customer treatment though something terrible happened to me last year. With the hopes of taking part in cryptocurrency investments to enjoy its profits, I almost got drained financially by scammers. Please do not let the… Read more · 1
fear of missing out get to you to the point that you put your savings in crypto investments. I met one SSG Isreal Parker Logan online in May, 2020. I invested in their bitcoin scam and have since been defrauded a total of over $70,000 which was taken from my QCB account. Ever since it happened, I've always been looking for ways to get my money back, I never gave up. In January 24, 2023, I was able to get all my lost investment back with the help of an asset recovery expert on Instagram named codecyberian. He exposed the real identity of the scammers and gave me tips on how to spot those scams whenever they’re in play.
Fixed Issue, Great Service – Nicely set out app. Nice clean widget, Fast and instant at answering customer call line. Opening account was a breeze. Shortened story, Opened Thursday last week but account was blocked after a day, didn't like my browser. Disguised my IP adress. Funds were locked and I'm 8 hours away from branch. had to visit closest branch which is a 7 or so hour drive. Waited over the weekend as branch was closed in Rockhampton.
**UPDATE called the branch this morning and the bloke Will at the Rockhampton branch helped me easily. It was prompt too. All I needed was my ID to be witnessed and signed by local JP. Sent through photocopies on my lunch and it was all active again withing a couple of hours. Saved me a lot in fuel and time I can't afford from work due to severe staff shortages. Excellent and best service from a bank I've had from the Rocky branch staff, woman was lovely and cheerful over the phone too. Can't recall her name. They're short staffed too I was told so they must have been more understanding of the situation. Can't rate them any better. I recommend this bank

The customer service rep, Jamie, answered my call within minutes of calling and from start to finish she was friendly, patient, understanding and knowledgeable. It was a great experience and highly recommend Qld Countey Bank based on this experience. Show details
Queenland Country Bank is a member's owned bank, and began life as a credit union. It has grown through having a great product and exceptional staff who know their bank and care about its customers. misplaced my wallet a few days ago the call centre sorted things out promptly and I was able go to a branch near me. The staff there were nothing short of amazing and I was able to get some cash from my account and relax a bit. Having never lost a wallet and to go though the card replacement process was a scary thought but with the help of a friend and without demolishing the house, the wallet appeared, intact. Yes, I have had dealings with other banks but I'm still with Queensland Country Bank.
The situation with which I had encountered, prior having to have this online experience, was horrendous. With the help of the online staff member, and patience shown during our time together, has absolutley sealed my satisfaction with the QCB. I have never had such a thorough, respective, encounter with any BANK online service before. The… Read more · 1

I asked to have a card replaced as it was damaged and I was downgraded from $5000 limit to $500 for 6 months because I hadn’t used it for awhile. Never mind that I have always paid my credit cards off as quickly as I could and way before time. Not to boast but my credit score is 987 and I’m getting penalised for being a good customer. Each time we deal with this bank we drift further and further away. What is happening to this country! Show details

I had trouble logging in to my account that I rarely use. I rang customer service Saturday morning and was patiently guided through the process of resetting my password by a lady who gave clear instructions and was not in a hurry to see me off. I’m considering relocating all my banking business to QLD Country Bank. They have a local branch with lots of friendly staff too. Show details · 1

We recently refinanced our home and investment properties, moving across to Queensland Country Bank. went through the process of refinancing the loans the staff from Queensland Country Bank, and especially Stephanie Nahow, were really, really good to engage with and they made everything so easy. This bank and the staff who work there made the refinancing seamless and a really pleasant experience (even for someone like me who might be a bit of a stress bunny!). I am now also saving money every month by paying a lower interest rate. I wish I had made the move much earlier.
