Hi, if it is the same one from Big W, we just found the non stick stuff on the skillet came off after only a couple of months. We paid $40 and thought it would have lasted longer.

What is the warranty on your saucepans?

Hi Lesley,

What range are you referring to?

I purchased 2 RACO frypans: 1 x 30cm and the other 1 x 20cm about a year ago. Six months ago the surface ( non-stick product) on the 30 cm pan has lifted causing all cooking to stick to the pan. Do you stand by your guarantee on products? Please contact me for a replacement unit. I live in Sydney, Australia and am very disappointed with your pans; only hope customer service is better Regards Scott Parker [Email Removed]

I have had 3 very positive interactions with Raco. The first was in 1984. We had just bought 4 pans and within days I had damaged one beyond repair.. I put it on the gas burner, empty, and got distracted. The pan heated up to a dull red. I quickly took it off the burner and ran cold water into it. The base separated. Sent it back and received a new one within a week. The other 2 interactions were replacing the handles on that original set which I'm using every day. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I have had a wonderful set of Raco saucepans that are still going strong 33 years after buying this set when I first moved out of home however some of the screws on the handles do become loose when cooking or washing up and am looking to buy a newer set. The handles on my set have never become hot during cooking but much of the newer cookware does not seem to have this feature. I want to buy cookware with cool touch handles. Any suggestions please.

We have recently purchased an eco plant based non stick frying pan. I can't find any information about what is plant based in the product?

Hello Jyoti, These are the features that the name Eco refers to: - RACO Eco is Palm oil-free and PFOA free for healthy cooking - FSC certified packaging is produced with 75% recycled aluminium alloy that can once again be recycled post-consumer use - The production process saves an estimated 88% of the energy required to produce aluminium and produces an estimated 88% less C0₂ emissions than production using primary aluminium (based on European Aluminium Association report, 2012) The RACO Team

I have bought a RACO Bravo 32cm wok. What type of oil do I use?

“Should” be able to use any oil. For stir fry you want to use very hot oil, vegetable oil has a higher flashpoint than olive oil meaning you can heat it to a higher temperature before it burns or begins to smoke. My experience meant that once the pan was hot, I literally could not touch it with anything other than soft silicone utensils otherwise it would scratch the non stick surface. Even nylon utensils caused damage.

Are the food contact surfaces of RACO S.S. cookware, of 18-00 S.S.?

Janda
Janda

I have been using RACO cookware for many years and the only time I buy new ones is for gifts for family so I don't have any of the packaging anymore. The food contact surfaces are certainly all polished stainless steel (I don't like Teflon type non-stick surfaces) and stand up to heavy coarse steel scouring pads without being scratched, if, as a totally random example, you burn rice into a pot, or hot oil darkens a surface.

The lids are the same, although as I mentioned in my review, the last time I went looking for a gift they only had glass lids available. Some of my pots have copper bases but that is bonded to the outside of the pot. The inside is stainless steel.

I do not know the grade of stainless steel but it is certainly apt for purpose.

Many thanks.
