I would never shop here again. A real shame considering I had previously purchased computers a few years ago and hardly had any issues until now. I recently placed an order for a laptop computer and didnt hear back for the first 2 weeks but then I started contacting them to find out what the hold up is and was only told they will have the… Read more

computer ready for shipping the next day, this had been going on for 4 times in a row for almost a whole week.

They also told me one reason after the other why the laptop computer could not be shipped sooner like it needed a new power adaptor which is what they were waiting on, the next one was it needed windows to be installed and the next one is the keyboard needed to be replaced since some of keys didn't work and were waiting on that part.

Considering the laptop was listed as good condition and in stock and its processing time is 1-2 business days I would have thought all the issues should have all been ironed out before it goes on sale not after.

Anyway I am relieved that I got a credit chargeback after all of this, I will never shop here again.

Lenovo tablet for a further $70 in early jan 2025. It's now March 1st 2026 and I've yet to recieve the tablet or the refund I've requested, I've been looking at the website for years and never thought of looking at reviews. They not only failed to update me on the product, untill I rang a few weeks after purchase, they failed to send the second product I upgraded to. How can a company still be in business with such horrendous customer service and overall business service. I've asked for a refund and they assured me they would do it straight away, 2 weeks later I'm still waiting. I guess it's time to contact the ACCC and really start hassling them for the refund. What a disappointment!! ,:(

Follow-up  · Reboot it have failed to send me the laptop and or give me a refund. They have basically stole $200 from me. I'll have to report to ACCC or pester them for a refund?? It's ridiculous an Australian company can behave this way and stay in business.

Follow-up  · Update: a refund was given 3 months after purchase. (No products ever sent and refund only given after many emails and I made a fus) This company needs to get it's act together asap!

Do not buy from this company!!!! Purchased second hand laptop to use in my mobile workshop van, laptop arrived with dead battery. Needs to be constantly plugged into power point to work, which completely defeats the purpose I needed it for. Multiple unanswered emails, wasted time on phone with multiple calls . Went on for months. Was told new… Read more

Bought a laptop screen failed within warranty. They said looks like a wire is out send it back. After months of ignored emails and phonecalls 'well ask our techs and email you back" - I said I was taking it to Consumer Affairs Victoria . Then they said its broken your fault we can fix it for most of the price you paid. The sell cheap gear but their warranty is cheaper. Avoid.

Never again Reboot IT – Purchased a refurbished Lenovo ThinkCentre pc from Reboot IT in April 2024, I needed it to run Windows 11 and the specs were good. From the start, I had problems with the boot up time, as the unit was looking for network connections, it took me a month to sort that out and after that it ran well. All updates where installing ok, until it came to… Read more

Win 23H2 update, which the PC wouldn’t accept. I tried 15 times to install that update without success. I looked through YouTube and tried all the suggested ways to install but no luck. It would get to 41% (black screen) and then it would flick to the login screen. I checked the updates page to find it failed again. I rang Reboot IT to see if they could help me and a rather rude person intimated that it was my fault and I should just reinstall Win 11. (This unit was advertised with Win 11 installed. I asked for a product key so I could download a new version only to be told it was in the bios which it wasn’t. As it was Friday afternoon and this help person was getting irate, we parted company. I tried a few more times but no luck and then Windows started notifying me that this version of Windows was out of service??? and I should purchase a new one. I phoned a friend who knew a bit about IT and he advised that this pc probably came with Windows 10 and that someone had just used an upgrade disc over the top of the Win10. That would possibly explain why there was a lot of Win10 entries in the Windows logs. So $400 plus spent unwisely, and I can say I will only buy new from now on.

Please do not buy from this company – Please do not buy from here! I bought a Lenovo L13 and paid extra for excellent condition. A Warning to All Potential Buyers – Absolutely stay away from Reboot-It! Their service is a complete disaster. Promised delivery within three days? Try a whole week. I bought a ThinkPad T480 labeled as "excellent condition" from their eBay listing, and what a catastrophe it was. The laptop was a mess—screws falling out, broken clips, unsightly marks between the bottom case and… Read more

keyboard, and a dangerously swollen battery. Despite Reboot-It's claims of no scratches or backlight bleeding, my screen was plagued with both. It's obvious this unit hadn't been refurbished at all; it was just as dusty inside as any old laptop pulled straight out of storage, and they obviously hadn’t bothered changing the thermal paste. The so-called 'one-year manufacturer warranty' is a sham, covered by Reboot-It, not the actual manufacturer. Plus, the battery is utterly useless, hardly holding a charge. To make matters worse, when I called their customer contact line, the woman on the phone knew absolutely nothing about technology. I asked if the screens were IPS, and she actually said, "I don't know." What a disappointment! This company is misleading its customers with false advertising and downright poor quality. Avoid Reboot-It at all costs!

I had a good experience – I just bought an HP Z27n G2 monitor from Reboot It. It works perfectly and only has very minor scratches on the stand. It is hard to tell it is not a new item. At a price $200 less than a new one, I am very pleased. My only minor criticism is that it took them a while to ship, but I still had the product in my hands in Sydney in less than a week.

Happy with transaction – I ordered a refurbished iMac for a reasonable price, and received good service over the phone when I requested a specific operating system to be installed so that I could use my CS4 software. Very disappointed, bought a laptop for $455, it took 15 days to arrive after three email requests and one phone call for information of the status of the order. All ignored. Absolutely shocking customer service from Reeboot It. I’ve been trying to get a refund for over two months now after they incorrectly issued me a store credit instead of my money back. It’s beyond unprofessional that a company cannot figure out how to process a simple refund from a store credit in this amount of time. They seem happy to take your money, but if you need it back, good luck—you’ll be ignored, given empty promises, and strung along.

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. If you value your time, money, and sanity, I’d strongly recommend avoiding Reeboot It.

I placed an order with this company for a refurbished laptop that was "ïn stock". I then waited a day and half till I sent them an inquiry asking them when I could expect the item to be shipped. I was informed that it would definitely be sent the following business day (a Monday). Monday came and went, no update. After reading several reviews… Read more

online that mentioned similar issues that had dragged on for weeks I decided to cancel the order first thing Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon I receive a message informing me that the product was promised to be delivered on the "xx-xx-xx" (which was the previous day) and that it was now packed and ready to ship with the courier that was arriving within the hour. The decision was mine. I reconfirmed my decision to not continue with the order and politely told them to cancel the order. No reply. Two days later I get a confirmation "good news", the order has been shipped and I can expect to take delivery the following day. I rang them immediately and asked them what they were doing. The informed me that they didn't understand why [Name Removed] had not cancelled the order as directed. I told them that I wouldn't be taking delivery, and they said that was fine just let the courier know. I then sent [Name Removed] an email restating all this, and he responded ~ "Thank you for informing us about the refusal of shipment. We appreciate your prompt action and will await the return of the item from the courier. We have many departments and it looks like the warehouse already had this ready to go in the courier pick up area prior to you advice." I then waited for my refund which didn't occur. Luckily I paid with Paypal, opened a case, and then escalated the case. They had a certain amount of time to respond which they allowed to lapse and then Paypal automatically refunded me. To be honest I am now happy that this order failed at the start as it led me to Max Computer Trading who processed my order the same day and delivered the following. God knows I wouldn't want to be dealing with Reboot IT should something have been wrong with the laptop. My advice, avoid Reboot IT...unless you enjoy Kafkaesque shopping experiences.

I recently purchased a laptop computer from Reboot IT, trusting in the quality and reliability of their products. Unfortunately, the item I received was faulty. Product not as described and no response – I purchased a ThinkPad P14s Gen2 from Reboot IT. The laptop was in excellent condition (almost like new), but the technical details were not as described. mainboard. Both have an additional slot for expansion. However, the former can only be expanded to 40 GB. From the description it appears that it was the second one, but when I added a memory module I saw that an 8GB DDR4 was already installed. The 48GB was basically the deciding factor with this laptop. I contacted sales@reboot-it.com.au but received no response. I wrote almost the same product review for the shop, but of course it wasn't published on their site. On a side note, after purchasing online I was contacted and asked to confirm my credit card information as it was supposedly not an Australian credit card, which it was. This looked like a scam to me.

Slow customer service, rip-off products, faulty charger – My issue is with the charger I received with my product. Good Option if you know computer hardware – I used Reboot-IT to purchase a B-Grade ThinkPad T480 (an older laptop model) I was hesitant at first due to the many negative reviews and opted for a cheaper model with a weaker processor. But after using my new laptop for several weeks, my only regret is that I didn't spend the extra $100 for the stronger processor. The first thing I did after… Read more

powering the machine on and checking the OS was open up the back. I was pleased to see hardware components (including laptop fans) were clean and in good condition.

The exterior and keyboard looked pretty good considering it was B-Grade, the screen was in good condition too. The keyboard backlight didn't seem to work, even on Windows OS. Additionally, the laptop required several critical firmware updates as per Lenovo's website advice, I had to install these myself.

I've invested in a second battery (internal) and another stick of RAM and the laptop is running my Linux OS very smoothly.

Overall I am happy with my purchase and I saved several hundreds of dollars compared to buying a new laptop.

If you have a decent grasp on computer hardware, it's not difficult to resolve any minor issues or quickly determine if there is any show stopping issue on the laptop that requires invoking your warranty.

Regarding the negative reviews, my two cents is that I suspect many are coming from people who expect too much from a refurbished device, or perhaps are unable or unwilling to do a some maintenance on their device. If you know you know computer hardware I think you can avoid the issues other customers have.
