Positive: RedInk met all the promised targets, all the way up to pci which was delayed by approx 4 weeks without proper explanation. Trades have done a great job, everything looks amazing. Negative: Communication with head office, high turnover of customer liaisons (3 different ones in 9 months)
Site supervisors do not appropriately update the customer liaisons, making their updates often 2 weeks late. It makes the customer liaison look stupid, when it’s not their fault.
I found it quite frustrating being updated on something that was being done 2 weeks ago, and then when asking for the actual update I would get told that the next update would be in a week. And then that update also wasn’t accurate.
A check in via phone now and again would have been nice. As a customer liaison myself it surprised me that there was never any phone contact. Especially if you’re dealing with someone for such a long time.
We were told there’d be cleaners going through the house, but the house is very dirty. Tracks full of dirt, footsteps on the carpets. Not a massive issue, but was expecting it to be cleaner. Pavers were also left on the driveway, rather than being moved into the garage or to the alfresco. Paying so much to a builder and then having to move the pavers yourself feels a bit odd.
All in all, an experience worth 4 stars. We haven’t properly moved in yet but we’re so ready to make our new home our home.

Breeanna Champion, for trying the best she could even if she wasn’t always updated appropriately. Never blamed you for it!! You were always kind and responsive to all of my questions and concerns. Dan who was let go just 2 months before we got our keys. His energy and passion for his job were unreal. We would have loved to have him till the end. Corey, our new supervisor for the last 2 months. Stepped in and made sure that we still got our keys in October.

I’ve built twice now both with Steve at Redink and each time it’s been awesome so wanted to throw a shoutout. The experience was so good and lucky I got in early because with the equity I made I was able to build with Steve again and it was another great experience. Redink Homes are running away from a warranty claim - we are the second owner of a Redink home build in Geraldton, WA and have a significant fault with the window (double glazing leaking) joinery. Do not build with Redink . Designing our house with Redink started out great. know any of them, until the last two and they have been an absolute horror to deal with. Our first arranged meet with site supervisor was , we thought to discuss tiling, however when we got there the wet area tiling was nearly complete but it was all wrong. The site supervisor was using the choices we made when we went to Crosby tiles 5th July on our own instead of the selections we’d made during our prestart choices on the 24th July, like seriously they had to rip all the tiles off and start again and the site supervisor blamed the office and not himself. This was when I knew we had made a mistake going with Redink to build our home. Our site supervisor [Name Removed] was so unprofessional and lied to us several times. Our client liaison [Name Removed] we would be lucky if we got a response from calls or emails. On that there was some other staff not dealing with our build that were more helpful than our liaison person. Redink say they will build a house in 12 months but it makes them rush, take shortcuts and there is no care of work/ finish. After lockup house was found left open with no one there. Carpets were down and kitchen benches early in lockup and so the carpets were filthy, we had them cleaned, bench scratched. We are in a fire rated zone and we had 10mm gaps around our front door. There was 13mm gaps at the base of our garage door, the tolerance is 2mm. They refused to fix it until I put in a Building Commission complaint. Front drive drain not plumbed in even though we were told 3 times by site super it was. So many defects and they are refusing to fix a lot of them. If I could list everything it would be hours of typing which no one wants. The basic thing is I wish I had never built with Redink, the ongoing stress and now the battle we have to get things fixed seems to have no end in sight. If you want a quickly built, don’t care where plumbing goes, things look second hand and a crappily finished house, go with these guys otherwise steer clear. Definitely get a building inspection done. So many non compliance issues identified, some which we had paid extra for. Do not build with Redink they may have been good years ago from their affiliation with Scott Park homes but they are now unprofessional, non caring, proudless, taking advantage of people. We have built a home before and it was no where near this Redink nightmare. So disappointed in Redink, the lies and non communication. The money we paid was not worth it I feel like we have a second hand home not a brand new one. They didn’t even clean it so we could just move in, it was handed over disgustingly filthy. Shame on you Redink.
We have hit the 6 month maintenance period and there is so much to fix. We have been living here and now everything will be disrupted and the mess and tradies just wandering through our private space. The worst part is that a lot of our defects are from handover. The day we got our keys the site Supervisor is running around with a tube of mortar patching walls outside, we also had an area manager trying to fix our door lock to the garage/alfresco area. He had taken the door handle off and taken it apart and had thé pièces in sand on thé pavers. Once he realised he couldn’t fix it he was off with a tube of mortar as well. The globs of mortar they left all over the ground well,some are still there to this day. The above part of this review I posted early on as I was just so upset with Redink, the day after I posted it I had a phone call from a manager asking me to take the review down they would come out and see what was wrong and fix things(this was at approx 3mth mark). A maintenance supervisor also came out. Once the boss left we started going through the defects that we had already put in to the Redink portal, we were at about number 70 but by end of 6 mth we were at 126 defects and once again most from handover. We actually felt quite positive with this guy and he listened and said a lot of the defects would be fixed. We get to 6 mth thinking yes the list had grown but the maintenance person was good and listened, however when we get the email about maintenance end we have a new person to deal with and we could not believe this, but we were told the original guy no longer worked there and all his notes had been somehow lost in the Redink system. So all the things we thought were gonna be fixed, not now. So now Redink are refusing to fix things we were originally told would be fixed. Because we have had keys 6 mths it could have been us causing some of the defects, so tough luck. We got keys early Oct2025 but didn’t actually move in to house until December. Quite a few of the issues were reported within the first week of key handover. We have roof leaks(9 so far), apparently they were fixed we originally 7. We had three build inspections done. On everyone there is a couple of non compliant defects which we have been told three times have been fixed, but that lie is now showing with the rain and bad weather. They haven’t met the BAL rating we have to meet. We are in a wind zone and we have had to have an extra strut put on our garage door, why was this not done on installation? Redink refused to cover the cost. Not one room, ceiling, wall, floor, door, fixture hasn’t been a problem. The tiling is awful our ensuite shower doesn’t drain, so has to be ripped out and they think they can just remove a few floor tiles without damaging the waterproofing. There is also damp detected on the wall where the bath and ensuite showers back on to. Floor tiles still have clumps of glue and residue, your feet stick to the floor in some spots. There is plaster lines,gouges,cracks in the walls. You can see paint roller marks and there is paint missing in some spots. You can see where they have tried to patch walls. We have had the electricians out 11 times in six months. Kitchen cabinets not aligned, one cupboard door you could see indents where hinges were.The front door is so warped a cliff climber could use the top to hang off. Not one door is compliant with their gaps between door and frame. Our double glazed window seals are defect. The paving outside is stained and has chips and seems to be eroding with the rainy weather. We were originally told they would get cleaned but the maintenance person we are now dealing with said they were not and that we had not even talked about it. This is another lie it was put in portal and discussed when he came out, which he denied, but has since admitted he may be wrong. Not one downright is aligned also light switches are installed at different heights, position on walls. Our matching walk in robes have different length walls. The list goes on. Our six month maintenance was early April 2026 we are now in October and there is still things to be fixed. Below is a view from our lounge window where they put the grey water drain, it’s also near alfresco area. You hear all the water gurgling through it when water is used and it also smells, what’s it gonna be like come summer. Cant have that window open at all. They put our stink pipe in the alfresco area. I asked for it to be moved, even if we had to pay extra and they would not. Windows double glazed scratched,frames scratched and dented. Brick mortar so bad in places and uneven. Basically our dream home which was where we were to stay put now, is our nightmare and we will not be able to enjoy because of Redink. Why did you not just build our home properly? We could have gone with a budget builder, saved lots of money and at least knew what we were getting and been prepared, but this has cost us and wherever I look I see a problem, not how you want to live. Anyway I 100% DO NOT recommend building your home with Redink.

He genuinely cared about helping me make the right decisions rather than simply making a sale. He never pressured me into upgrades or tried to sell me things I didn’t need. Instead, he gave honest, practical advice and always made me feel that my interests came first. That level of integrity was the main reason I chose to build with Redink.
He was incredibly thorough, taking the time to explain every step of the process in detail and patiently answering all of my questions. His knowledge, honesty and patience gave me confidence and made what could have been another stressful experience feel straightforward and enjoyable.
What impressed me most was that his support didn’t end once I signed the contract. Even after construction started, he never disappeared. He remained approachable, responsive and always happy to answer any questions I had throughout the journey. That ongoing support made a real difference.
I was so impressed with my experience that I recommended Jeremy to one of my friends, who has since signed up to build with Redink as well.
If it hadn’t been for Jeremy, I honestly don’t think I would have chosen Redink. He is a genuine credit to the company, and I can’t thank him enough for making what was once a stressful experience into such a positive one. consultant, Adam Symonds, has been incredibly patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. During the planning stage, we had a strong vision for what we wanted our home to look like. We met with Adam several times, and he was able to make live changes in the design software, giving us a clear and accurate floor plan as our ideas evolved.
We spoke to a number of builders, including RedInk, but none could match Adam’s experience, understanding, and ability to keep pace with our ideas. We knew what we wanted, and many sales consultants either couldn’t grasp our vision or weren’t able to translate it into a workable floor plan efficiently. Adam understood exactly what we were trying to achieve and used his professional expertise to guide us toward the best possible design. After each meeting — right up until the pre-start stage — he stayed in touch, helping us refine details and discuss updates to the plans.
We’ve built previously through another builder a number of years ago, and one thing we really valued from that experience was having access to an interior designer — something not all builders offer. This time, we had ideas about the look we wanted, but we weren’t sure how everything would come together. Leah was amazing. She quickly understood the feel we were aiming for and elevated our original, fairly simple colour scheme into something that still feels like “us” but with far more visual interest. Without her guidance, we would have ended up with a much more basic and less inspiring palette.
When we reached our pre-start meeting, we worked with Charmaine Hunt, another fantastic and highly experienced Client Experience Coordinator from RedInk. We arrived with a long list of requests, and Charmaine went through every point with care, offering her own insights and helping us make informed decisions to bring our dream home to life. Our list was long, but her attention to detail and the ideas she suggested — including things we hadn’t even considered — were exactly what we needed.

We have also been invoiced before works were completed, had the site inspected within the 10 day due date, and given them the report of defects and incomplete works. Nup, doesn't matter, pay up, just trust us to get it finished.

Bad service – I have had nothing but heartache with Redink homes. I paid a premium for quality works however, there trades is not qualified. The tiler had to redo tiles in the shower and never put sealer on before he fixed the works. I have a PCI building report and was told everything in the report will be completed. tomorrow, suddenly items on the report will not be done. My contract stipulate Scotia to be installed, no Scotia. I build a Facebrick house. Bricks are broken and not being fixed. Front door is so badly installed there is gaps you can see through. Front door now have to repair and repaint. Weepholes has been rendered close, refuse to clean out and fix. Downpipes have no grids and some are broken. One Downpipes not connected to soakwel I have kept an issue register throughout the build. They have know about some of these issues for some time. Never addressed it. There was no management at all. They ask for feedback but don't act on it. The staff stonewalls you and are incompetent. Talks over you and just keep blocking you to speak to the people who can make real decisions influence change. From l9ckup to handover8 months. The house next to me poured there concrete slab when I went in l9ckup. They are weeks away from PCI with much better quality and workmanship.

We're still in the early phases of design and considering the few big changes that I have made to the design (master ensuite, kitchen, garage); the costs have remained relatively low and within the budget I'm working with.
