very helpful to get them resolved immediately. Fast forward 3 months, as part of the 3 months warranty period, I am experiencing difficulty with Rendition Homes in having repair/incorrect items resolved. My experience with their maintenance customer service was poor. Even through I have been proactive in raising my issues, I felt that their customer service was bias to denying a repair request rather helping a customer resolve the issue raised.

Specifically, my issue was regarding an outlet behind the fridge that was installed low being behind the fridge causing the fridge to be placed further out of its spot and showing more in the hallway. I even provided a picture to show the fridge was showing too much from the fridge area. She denied this repair item in her initial reply, saying that "Our installers have installed the outlet at standard height. No further action to be taken as this is completed as required." I challenged this and requested that it be checked and determined if it installed correctly or not as the fridge is sticking out and looks unprofessional. She then replied, she cannot see it in my plans so she wanted to confirm if it was really part of the build. -- How can she say it was installed correctly (in the first reply) if now she is saying she cannot even see it from her end in the plans? But I let it go. I replied to her question - it was part of the build because it was there in the hand over, and I even discussed it with the site manager during hand over. She then came back saying, "Given this information, if it was in the wrong location, the site manager would have relocated the item. Our maintenance team are unable to assist with this unfortunately." Is this for real? We are not expected to find all the faults in that 3 floor property during that hand over inspection - that is why there is this 3 months warranty period so we can still raise items. -- I had to point that out to her as she denied it again.

I requested to speak to someone else to escalate the matter as I do not feel that she was being helpful. She ignored this request and requested another photo, now of the specific outlet. I replied to her saying, 'I described the issue clearly and given a photo of the fridge sticking out. Now she wanted to have a photo of the outlet, when there is already a fridge there. Next you will ask for me to measure the height of the outlet from the floor'. And she did, saying 'a measurement will be helpful as I could pass this onto the electrician to reply that it is at an acceptable height'. -- look at that reply...so biased on not helping. She wanted me to measure but she has made up her mind already that she will have her electrician reply that it was in an acceptable height.

It would have been better if the customer service should have said in the first instance that OK, we will have this checked if installed correctly before we can determine if it needs fixing.

It was only after 10 email exchanges that I had her to finally agree to have the issue checked out by someone who is not an electrician. It was a difficult experience. Such poor customer service. I have no confidence that she will approve the item to be rectified.

All of this is documented in our email correspondence.

I really wish someone can help me get this fixed. Having a standard fridge protruding because of incorrectly installed outlet at the back, is making the fridge is a trip hazard, especially when there are little toddlers.

Custom hillside house - undercroft – Bottom line is that we are happy with the result. Supervisor, Mark, was superb. Rendition. Our neighbors built a less complicated house (one story, flat lot) than ours (undercroft 2 stories), they started 6 months before us and we moved in before (they still haven't moved in). For us this is a big plus. Points to consider - ask aircondition base to be part of the footings and go somewhere else to look for kitchen tiles (the selection was very limited).

Lied too, messed around and shown hidden clauses in contract that blew price out after signing – Signed in March 2021, was told timber would not be an issus as they were a big compamy. Feb 2022 they told said they could not guarantee timber that year. But still they were happy to lay the foundations and may us wait for stock.. extra $12,500 due to the hold up... little clauses in contract that everyone must read.... take your contract home and read dont let them pressure you to sign.. Apart from other events I would not recomend this company.

Our house was not a simple house to build in which we had a lot of other builder’s turn us away, from day one our build was never an issue for rendition, they simply just wanted to work with us for our needs.

The build itself did have some set backs due to supply issues but they were always straight forward in telling us what was happening unfortunately a lot supply issues were out of their control and I completely understand that being in the building industry myself!

The finished product is absolutely beautiful such a high quality home built to perfection , all the trades are so friendly and easy to talk too and respectful to all our neighbours during construction , plus our site supervisor went above and beyond to make sure we were happy all the way through!

If anyone is building or thinking about building I highly recommend rendition but please be patient with the process as it hard for all building companies at the moment, at times I felt like pulling the pin as it was too stressful at times but now I’m extremely happy I stuck it with rendition because the product we received is second to none !

delay was not communicated in the initial emails. Delays happen, and I think that the vast majority of people building a home would expect this kind of set back. But, to save time going backwards and forwards on emails to get to the cause of said delays, it would be great to have this information included in the initial comms: "There has been a delay, and here is why"

I think this will leave customers with a lot more accessible info, and will lead to more confidence in your build process.

With every build, there is bound to be a bump in the road. When an issue arose with Council, they explained the situation in terms I could understand and quickly found a solution that I was happy with. Any problems were solved practically and without any drama - and they answered all questions I had along the way.

managed by Rendition. Due to an encumbrance on the land, there were some setbacks at development approval. Rendition worked tirelessly and timely to ensure we would comply without any compromise to our design and budget.

Selections in the Modello Studio was incredible. The range of products to chose from was impressive and the knowledge and experience of Angela helped enormously.

The construction phase of our build was fantastic! Our site supervisor Luke was very thorough and transparent with his communication, often giving me weekly updates on what was achieved that week, and what was planned for the week after. We received the keys to our new home 2 months earlier then expected and we couldn’t be happier.

Rendition were very transparent about any additional costs and worked to include a large majority of the extra costs in my estimated cost. So far in the construction stage there has been minimal additional costs. Very happy so far.

Even with the construction industry experiencing significant delays at the moment, Rendition has been able to continue my build at a good pace so far. Very pleased with that and I'm somewhat surprised as a lot of people I know that are also building are having difficulties in this area.

Will be very comfortable with upgrading from a 4 star review to a 5 star review at the end of the build. As for a first time builder they have been wonderful to work with so far!
