time frame. Sharing my experience with Ridgewater homes. I am hoping like the google review I provided with pictures, my this review does not get deleted. This has started from when I got the reports from an independent building inspector (Derbecca) for the new house I built with Ridgewater homes. Things were not fixed as part of the stage completion (As per the private inspector reports). Still i was asked/threatened i may get charged an interest for late payment if i don't pay the invoice of the particular (incomplete) stage by due date. How can you expect someone to pay for incomplete stage or threaten of interest charges for late payment when you don't complete your side of the promise? Then came the settlement day. I was supposed to be given the key during the last week of the christmas shutdown period (December 2022), so i had got everything ready (including the payment and moving in). the bank had made the payment 2 days earlier then the day of the inspection and the payment was in their bank account on Thursday 22/12/2022 which was supposed to be the settlement day as agree by both parties. I asked them after having had such a bad experience during the journey till the final inspection stage, i requested the supervisor to make sure everything is done as per the contract (including all the defects raised by the independent supervisor) then only i will get the key. otherwise, i will not get the key. I live in Melbourne and have to make arrangements for the move beforehand, so I did not want myself to be in a condition where i turn up with all the preparation for the move to Mount Duneed and then find out on the settlement day to be The money was already transferred to their bank account but they were afraid of if they I find out their incomplete work during the handover and if i dont accept the key. they may end up having the water heating unit to be stolen during the shutdown period. So they pulled back at the last moment advising me if we could do the settlement (the payment for this stage was already made) key handover in new year (January 2023). Then finally came the settlement day on 21 January 2023. this time i went there and had found some issues (i.e. entrance Door handle not working properly. very basic thing a home owner would expect to be properly installed. There was a plumbing issue which we found out when we stayed at the property on 21/01/2023 weekend. I sent the videos to the supervisor. The plumbing never looked like it was done ever on the property). I was told they will be fixed by 31//01/2023. A week later i was told plumbing has been fixed. i said ok. I wanted to move my brother and his family this week for which i asked them at least twice via text message No response received from the supervisor. very unprofessional. Then i sent an email, I did not receive a response. then i sent another email last week and was told he will call me but not response yet about it. so I went ahead and organized a small get together over the last weekend (18/01/2023 and 19/01/2023). I found out on Saturday evening that the water would not go out and the kitchen sink was blocked completely. The drainage holes outside of the property were flooded with poo and stinking like hell. Very embarrassing. Happy to provide the videos. I sent the video of the poo flood to the supervisor no response yet. I called twice but no response. I had to call RACV emergency assist to fix the drainage issue. still the lock and many minor other things have not been fixed. The bulbs are missing which i reported during the handover. I requested white light bulbs but was provided only 2 out of 4 and that too yellow light. not paying attention to the customer requests. I have just posted a google review to Ridgewater homes but it was removed 5 minutes after i posted. I hope my this review does not get removed and i get some justice. Getting the undone items fixed by this week so my brother and his family can move in to the house. Worst decision of my life that i decided to build my home with Ridgewater homes. If anyone looking for building a house please make sure to hire an independent contractor like i did to uncover lot of stuff these guys have hidden when they built my house. I am happy to provide proof with videos and pictures of the unprofessional work they have done.

Variation, which was never properly justified.
Since then, I’ve had nothing but stress, wasted time, and extra expenses because of their poor workmanship and lack of responsibility. The quality of the build is far below expectations, and despite raising concerns many times, RidgeWater Homes has not responded or taken accountability to fix the problems.
After waiting more than 2 years without any resolution, my case is now going to VCAT in November 2025. This speaks volumes about their unprofessional conduct and lack of customer care.
I strongly advise anyone considering RidgeWater Homes to be extremely cautious. My experience has been frustrating, costly, and deeply disappointing.

is very disheartening to wait for three months for a simple email reply (after several follow ups), which has caused unnecessary frustration and inconvenience (and this is happening every time). My repeated attempts to contact them have been ignored, leaving me feeling neglected and ignored as a homeowner. I am very disappointed by the stark contrast between the initial customer service I received during construction and the current dismal experience. This disregard for my concerns is unacceptable and has eroded my trust in Ridgewater Homes.
This is my personal experience with Ridgewater Homes. I found their post construction customer service/ maintenance work to be lacking. For me, this is just as important as the actual building process, so I have decided not to build with them again.

they can work like that (liars), really unprofessional. Fake services, always say YES but do nothing. After handover, did not fix properly job and always send invoice before the job in each stage was finish. They just care about the money. Timeframe was so late (single story they build 12 months). Without my pushing and close my eye, it should be 15 months or more.
No follow up after handing the keys – It's been a year since Ridgewater Homes handed our home keys but never came for the 6 months inspection. Once they give you the keys they don't care anymore.
