Menswear no longer a focus – Rivers used to be a male focused shop one of the few that had sizes up to 4xl. The store then became female focused to the point where menswear and large sizes became obsolete. Sad, but it’s pointless for men now.

Borderline false advertising! – Outside the store was a rack of shirts on special, with sign as costing $25. Disappointed refused purchase as not a member – Capalaba store advertising, $20 shoes , and buy three items and get the 4th free. Turns out this only applies if you are a member. There are no signs to state this is a members only sale. Staff didn’t offer membership . My arm loads of items , shoes, shirts and hats remained at the checkout counter , no sale . Poor quality poor customer service – Shoes came apart within 2 months. Refused refund. Complained then told I might get a refund it I send an email with photos, no refund possible in store. DFO Jindalee staff seems to have no idea giving different messages if a refund or credit even was available beyond 30 days. These guys don't know consumer law. Show details

Mosaic/rivers unsatisfactory products and customer service – I'm very disappointed in Rivers/Mosaic, the owner of the company, re Riversift boots. Were on sale from $80 to $29. What a joke!! Tried them on ...great. Wore them twice then got scuff marks all over front .. now orangey colour (undercoat)?? anything. Customer service are so busy they don't get back until a month later. I want my $29 not a credit note which is all they will do in store. Mosaic currently has issues with ACCC so please look at this. So disgusting.

Material not good – Ii bought a black jacket to take to Europe. I cut off the white tag before I left and took it away new. I was gone for a month and washed it once in a handbasin of an AirBnb. to shrink. I hung it damp to dry after gently squeezing out the water. I thought that when it was dry it would go back into shape. As I gently pressed it using a towel under a cool iron it did improve but not a lot. I can see tiny white threads on elastic in the material near the sleeve seam. I'm not impressed. I cannot recommend tgat you buy anything wuth this type of material.

Day at Rivers Store – Store is fairly big and large. Not enough staff support is available to guide customer. The variety of clothing and shoes is great. Customers have to run around every where. It would be good to have some staff for assisting customers Show details

Appealing design but poor quality – To be honest, their shoes aren't great. They look nice, but the quality is poor. I bought some slippers from this store, and the insoles weren't attached well. They kept slipping out as I walked. I ended up removing the insoles and tried fixing the shoes myself. Show details

Excessive fleece shedding, very disappointing – I was delighted to receive my Ugg’s for my birthday this year from Rivers in Bundaberg, we bought them in store, but in 2 months part of the side heel is now bald with a massive chunk of fleece having come out and the boots continue to shed. side heel part that came completely from the boot wall was about 4-5cm long and 2cm high. Great feeling boots but I don’t know how long my fleece is going to last, they are purely indoor boots for the cold.

wouldn't last one season. I'm disappointed with both the current range and quality of goods on offer with this retailer. I would pay a higher price for better quality, durable clothing. I will be looking at other retailers for better quality products.

Exchange policy – Useless return/ exchange policy at morley store. Inflexible and very rude 20 year old "manager" with absolutely no people skills whatsoever!!! Will not be returning to this shop anytime soon! Was a regular shopper too!

Rivers does Not want customers to come back – I bought a pair of mens shoes. About 3 days later I wore them to an appointment and found them a size too small. I took them back with tag and original receipt and the woman behind the counter told me since I had worn them she can not refund or exchange them. appointment directly in-front of my car. She still refused to exchange them for the next size up. I emailed rivers management and simply got an email back quoting their refund policy. I have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars at Rivers over the past many years BUT Never Again. They clearly don't think customer loyalty or wanting to keep existing customers coming back is important. So I wont be going back. I will be telling everyone I know to stay away from a store that does not care about its customers.

Avoid Rivers clothing! – Bought 4 summer dresses and 2 summer nighties while I was on holiday in Perth from Rivers, Clarkson. Every single one of the items shrunk dramatically after the first wash (cold water handbasin, not tumble dried). So much so that they are useless to me. I am back in the UK so I can't do anything about it. What a disgrace. Avoid Rivers is all I can say!

Bad product and even worse customer service – I purchased the 3 pack of the new boxer briefs that come in a box that is better quality than it's contents. Very Poor Quality - Go to Spend less or Big W instead! – Bought two pairs of the same 'Heritage' brand joggers on half price ($40) separately in a space of 4 months and both have given in after regular use! Never bought anything at regular price as it's a total rip-off and outright insult to customers thinking that higher prices with a rebadged Rivers logo will somehow exude better quality. They might have been good 30 years ago when they regularly pumped their ads on TV, but everything is just cheap quality rubbish made in China.

After this I'm better off going to Spend less or Big W and spending $30 or so on shoes that will last within the same period or longer.

Customer service varies store to store - worst one by far is Carseldine. Poor attitude of staff - esp younger millennial snots just don't care! Kippa-ring isn't too bad though, but won't stop me not returning anytime soon.

Exchange policy ridiculous – The sizing of the stores belts are incorrect, the belt I bought still brand new with tags I had purchased for Christmas so wrapped up and because it went over their 30 days they would not exchange size or give a store credit. So bad these policy’s. What would I do with a belt that doesn’t fit anyone in my family. I will not buy from this store again. Show details

Don’t buy hiking boots from Rivers – I purchased a pair of hiking boots to use in my yard as they felt wider than a work boot. 10 minutes in and the left sole came off and then the whole lot of stitching and glue came undone on the right shoe. Brand new. I’m glad I only purchased them for the yard and not a hike.
