10 out of 10 - Brilliant from start to finish
We just finished building with Ross North in record timeline of 12 months from slab to handover, in this crazy daunting time of building.Despite all the horror building stories that we heard and read, we experienced none of those. In fact, our experience has been very positive, pleasant, seamless and stress free. We feel like we have been very well looked after from start to finish. The build quality and workmanship are of high standard, and we are very pleased with the final result.
There was no price increase and no surprises. All final ... Read more
costing including the provisional amount was very close to the estimate and anything over-provisioned was credited back to us. Dealing with Ross North was also very easy. They are easy to reach and proactive in communication. There was never any need to chase or follow things up. [Name Removed] our client liaison provided regular updates, even sometimes with just a simple quick email to advise where things were at. [Name Removed], our sales consultant was indeed our first contact with Ross North. A genuine guy, honest and upfront. Being our first time building, it was overwhelming but [Name Removed] gave us peace of mind and confidence in building our first home. [Name Removed] has good attention to details and gave thoughtful inputs and ideas during the design process. Very generous with his time and checked on us regularly throughout the journey until the end. [Name Removed] our pre-start and color consultant helped and accommodated patiently to our million requests. [Name Removed], our supervisor is very kind, prompt, organized. Despite the current challenges in building industry, he got things moving for us and has gone above and beyond to ensure we got the keys before Christmas. He kept us updated and organized regular site meetings at every stage of the construction to make sure that we are happy and that any concerns could be addressed at the time rather than waiting till the end. Issues raised pre, during and post construction were handled professionally and promptly without any fuss. Ross North focus on solving the problem rather than going around arguing whose fault it was. This no-blame approach creates a great trust where I feel the Ross North team is working together to achieve the best outcome for their customers. All of them were exceptional throughout. We appreciate the hard work and dedication that the whole team provided, truly demonstrates a company that values high standard of customer service, with integrity and honesty. They are transparent and takes ownership and pride in their work. In the era where people have little trust in the builders and the building industry, Ross North has proven otherwise. From the start before we signed, Ross North assured us of the process, and everything was exactly how they said it would be, and it was. If we are going to build again, we will only consider Ross North.Prestart Done!
I'm just at prestart stage, but I feel like I have to review how things went up until now since it has been quite a ride getting to prestart and we started interactions back in April, when I didn't even had a block! So far the experience has been exceeding my expectations. Patrick, my sales consultant, probably did 20/25 different plans for me. Initially we focused on a different block, then I changed idea and we went with another block. I probably contacted 10 different builders. All my questions and worries were addressed in a meticolous wa… Read more · 1y by Patrick. Display Houses playied a big role too. They have that something more but you need to go and see it for yourself. After PPA, I had my color consult and prestart. The two ladies who helped me were very patient, Sacha and Linda. Color consult has been really smooth, I changed some of the selections. At prestart I changed my mind about 100 times. Asked a 1000 questions about 3-phase, induction, this and that. There were some hiccups, off course. Nothing is always sunshine and rainbows. But what really was good was the way those issues were approached and resolved. I've heard multiple times about the "honeymoon" phase with builders which ends at prestart. Well in my case it didn't. RN is believed to be an expensive builder but In my experience when it came to the upgrades it was extremelly fair (maybe except the cabinetry, but not really their fault) and the same is valid for the house as well. I keep recommending RN to everyone who asks how was my experience with them. I have no rush for my build, but I can't wait to get it!The Built is good but the after sales is disapointingly bad
I had my house built by RossNorth about four years ago and I was impressed with the quality of the build and finish. Their sales consultant, Bradley, was exceptional and remained in contact with me even after the build was completed to ensure my needs and questions were met. This was the reason I chose to sign up with RossNorth. However, I have been disappointed with their after-sales service. On two separate occasions, I reached out to their repair department for assistance, but their response was inadequate.
The first issue was with nails pop... Read moreping out from the ceiling, and the repair department immediately attributed it to someone walking on the ceiling. However, this did not satisfy me as the nails were not sinking but popping out. The second issue was with water noise whenever a water outlet was used. I contacted RossNorth to inquire if the issue was still under warranty, but the same person from the repair department asked if anything had been altered in the house recently. When I replied that nothing had changed, she insisted that something must have changed and did not offer any further assistance or advice. I felt left alone and that RossNorth did not care about resolving the issues I was experiencing. I expected them to refer me to someone who could fix the problem, even if it was outside of their warranty, but they were not interested in finding out what was wrong. This kind of after-sales service has made me hesitant to use RossNorth for my next home, and I am now considering other builders. While I do not claim to be faultless in these situations, I believe that RossNorth did not make an effort to understand the problems I was experiencing and offer solutions. It is like buying a new car - no matter how good the product is, if the after-sales service is poor and the company does not listen to its clients or offer advice, it is not worth it.
Professional from start to finish
We built two homes, side by side, starting in January 2020 and finishing at the end of 2022. Everything was professionally handled throughout that time, and we are very pleased with the houses. We're just finishing the 6 month maintenance period of the second home and this is what has motivated me to write the review. I could not fault the builder's handling of all of the issues we raised and I would particularly like to commend Lisa who has been our contact person. Building is stressful and the current climate makes things even more difficult … Read more · 1for both the builders and purchasers. However, Ross North has been nothing but professional and responsive throughout. They've been around for over 40 years and I expect that their attention to detail, and concern for their customers goes a long way in accounting for their success in a challenging industry. We have met many of the tradespeople and they have all been great--taking pride in their work and doing a very professional job. Our supervisor was "top notch" and kept us informed throughout. There were holdups of course, as was inevitable given the shortage of tradespeople and products, but all considered I don't think we could have had a better outcome. Living in the homes has cemented my appreciation for the Ross North product. The houses are built to a high standard and have been finished properly. I plan to build again and hope that it will be with Ross North.Took a while to get there, but happy with the result in the end
Covid impacted the build a lot. It took nearly 2 years, but I know others are waiting longer. Our Project Manager was really helpful, and easy to reach, and I felt he was doing all he could to keep things moving, and sort out the many issues along the way. The office staff were not as helpful or communicative. There were a lot of things that needed fixing and reviewing, as we were doing things a little differently and trying to build a more sustainable and fully accessible house with a loft, and this seemed a bit new and not what people were us… Read more · 1ed to dealing with. The cost didn't increase even though the time frame did (a lot!), so that was a real bonus. We are still waiting for a final few things to get sorted, but we are really enjoying the house. An awesome job from start to finish
I was recommended Ross North Homes by mum whom had built with them previously. It was a very easy and seamless process from start to finish. The workmanship was great, and they never added any additional costs along the way, nor did they increase any prices during covid. There were constant updates from the team during the construction process. A very happy customer and would build with them again. Show details · 1Excellent Team and Customer Service
A bit of background:Hubby and I went through quite a few builders and signed up with one of the boutique builders thinking that they offered the best deal and they were prompt in returning emails. We realised that it was all just a pretense into tricking potential clients to sign up with them. We had to chase them for everything and you’d be lucky if you hear back from them. Luckily we managed to walk away from them, but it was 8 months and few $$$$ grants later.
We then approached Ross North and had a look at their designs and got some estim… Read more · 1
ates. To our surprise, they are not this pricey builder that we had always thought of (we just guessed because we went to their display home and were impressed with the quality and thought this is going to cost a lot – But this is not the case!!). They work within your budget and Peter Grickage, our consultant was able to make some changes on their design to fit our narrow lot literally on the same day. Carissa Rautenbach (Peter’s PA) has been very helpful since the beginning. She answers promptly to every single queries you have and kept us updated. She carefully explained what the building stages are and this was really helpful for first-timers like us. Moving to colour selections stage, Sacha Quick helped us throughout the process. She truly lives up to her name, very quick indeed. All selections were typed and returned back to us in just couple of hours after the meeting. She was very patient in assisting us who have very little idea of combining colours. She made this process a stress free one. And onto Prestart stage, Simone Stewart provided such excellent assistances. I’m very particular with our selections but she helps to accommodate them all. During the meeting she went through each item one by one, not forget to mention that she provided a lot of detailed advices that you won’t find anywhere but through the experienced one. We ended up with many of her suggestions. We made a few changes after the meeting but she would action it straight away and she’s always keeping us in the loop. We understand that it is a challenging time to build in this climate but being updated with even the smallest progress is such a precious thing for us, it makes us feel we are one step closer and we’re very appreciative for the transparency. Not only one staff excels in what they do but literally everyone in the team. Giving them 100 for communication, promptness & customer service. So glad we chose Ross North Well organised team from the start to the end

Stress free build from concept to completion!
We would highly recommend building with Ross North. Having never built before we were nervous building our home, but staff at Ross North guided us from concept to completion with patience and professionalism that was outstanding. The staff were highly knowledgeable and the guidance through the build process was stressless and problem free. Slight changes to original plans during the build were able to be altered on site with no additional cost or problem. Once completing our build Ross North has been prompt in sorting out small things that have arisen, and have been more than happy to help with any questions. We were even given a $5000 refund at the end of our build as a couple of things dropped in cost! Honesty, Integrity, Patience, and Respect were all values that this builder and his staff represented to us at all times. If we ever build again, we will only consider Ross North Homes.Smooth process, No hassles
Highly recommend Ross North for anyone interested in building a home. From the get-go the team were helpful and very transparent, but most importantly acted with integrity in regards to doing what they say they will do all in a timely manner.I have now lived in my new house for close to 2 years now and have nothing negative to say about the quality of build.
Thank you for making my first building experience such a pleasant one. Show details · 1
Excellent service and results
This is my first home that built with Ross North. My experience with them throughout the building has been very satisfactory; easy to talk, highly responsive to customer demand and knowledgeable on the whole construction process. The professional team enabled my family dream home to build very smoothly with confidence, which makes us mind that Ross North would be our second home builder next time! Highly recommend this efficient company to construct your dream house! Show details · 1Our Custom Built Home
The Ross North team have been helpful from prestart to post implementation. This was the fourth time we built and the first time we built with Ross North. It is the first time my wife and I are Building. We have just received the building permit and we are amazed at how well the process is going. Ross North staff are knowledgeable and super efficient. That is giving us a lot of confidence. They are guiding us well through the process and giving us brilliant ideas. Special thanks so far to Patrick Yeoh (Ross North Homes Sales & Design Consultant) for designing our dream home and for all the support since the first contact a couple of months ago. We spoke to sales/design consultants from over 6 Building companies in Perth and no one has made us feel so in peace as Patrick did! Fantastic bloke. Looking forward to working with Ross North for the rest of the project. Show details · 1Quality Home Built
Ross North has been professional from the Planning Stage up until that we moved to our house. They are very responsive to our concern and they strive to provide support to us.The workmanship was good. They pride themselves on quality build. They are professional enough to come back for some minor repairs which are inevitable as the house settle due to effect of weather.
The contract/estimated cost did not change significantly as the house reached its final stage.
I will be recommending Ross North to anyone planning a build. Show details · 1

Do you build at Dawesville?
Hi, Dawesville is right on our cut off- can you send me an exact address and Ill confirm- thanks
Balladonia Parade, Florida Beach Estate Dawesville
Dear Sirs,
Ross North Built my home in Mandurah in 2002 or thereabouts. We love the home. The Job Number was R7307 Plan Dia P27535 on Lot 973. The house is now exhibiting a number of signs of stress which are not of great concern structurally but possibly mainly more cosmetic.
We are keen to down size some time and realize we need to have a number of defects remedied.
I seem to recall one of the company's statements being that quite a large number of events would be covered by it's insurance guarantees for 20 years.
I write to pose the question to see if I have some sort of cover for a myriad of small complaints which I would happily compile a list for.
Our Consultant at the time was Mark Derecourt, a fine employee. Regards
Otto Gilbert
