why wont my whipper snipper idle.?
I have a curved shaft of this model & was wondering if it will accept the straight shaft accessory?
Do you still have ryobi for zip start rlt254fcdsn carburetor kit
Unit was working fine then all of a sudden cut out. Wouldn’t start. Checked for spark - ok, replaced fuel with new fuel, changed the spark plug. Still had good compression. Still wouldn’t start. Left it for a week and tried again. Started for a couple of seconds and died. I sounds like it is flooding but nothing was done or changed to the carb! Thoughts ??
Just need to know why my whipper snipper starts runs fo a few minutes and thrn stalls after that it will not restart
How do you remove the black cover over the carburetor.

what carburetor is used in this product and where can i purchase one cheers
I have had a Ryobi RLT254FCDSN line trimmer for about five years with great satisfaction. Recently for no apparent reason it lost revs, eventually spluttering to a stop. Restarts OK but still the same. I have checked the carbi and blown through all the jet holes to no avail. Any ideas?
I have had the Ryobi RLT254FCDSN (2-stroke) for about a year now and it's been working fine and starts easily, but now although it starts and the "cutting cylinder rotates" there seems a significant loss of power/rotation and effectively isn't cutting and the "exhaust" is producing a little smoke, any ideas?
I have had same for 2 years (jan 2014) and just after warranty, petrol start leaking when not running and mechanic found diaphragm problem, cost me $45 and gave me 3 months warranty for repair work. Also it would not start and would belch out smoke. It has 2 year warranty, I suggest get it replaced.
