Hello

Our SupaDry Spin Mop Bucket System was purchased on 14/05/2024 from Bunnings, Mt Roskill, Auckland NZ. I understand our product is still under warranty. The green coloured locking lever has snapped and broken off, and I read that this is a recognised defect and that particular part has since been redesigned and improved. Can I obtain the replacement part(s) to make our Spin Mop workable again? If more convenient, should I arranged this through our local Bunnings Warehouse In Auckland?

Kind regards David

Hi David, sorry but you'd need to contact Sabco directly to answer that. I've had mine for about 3 years and have had no problems.

Hi I have the supadry mop. My problem is it doesn’t spin the mop. Not sure if it is the bucket or mop

Vaughan Willis
Vaughan Willis

Have you undone the locking lever? When that's unlocked, you just have to ensure the mop is in the rotating section of the bucked, and push it down, life it up quickly, and push it down, etc. until you've got rid of as much water as you need.

Sonia B.

It was working, but now it doesn’t

Angela.C

Could be your mop...the mop does the work to make it spin...or check that the rotating section of the bucket isn't jammed.

Hello! I purchased my mop bucket system in mid 2024, we are very happy with the overall quality. Sadly, today the green plastic lock thingy on the handle broke suddenly, the bucket and the mop head is in excellent condition, I don’t want to replace the whole thing, just the rod thingy. I tried finding just the rod from the Bunnings and Big W website, but they don’t sell just the rod alone. Can you please help me in this regard? Thank you, Sadia.

Hi, Sadia, sorry, I'm not sure where you could purchase the parts. I would get in touch with Sabco and ask them. Their website is found here: external link

How do you fix the handle on the bucket so it doesn't tip with the weight of water in it? As soon as there is water in it you can't carry it or the water tips to one side. I've asked in Bunnings where I bought it but nobody could answer my question

Pam
Pam

I don't fill bucket right up only fill it to half way. Below ware the mop sits in basket. Fill bucket lower than basket. Then try and see how that goes. Me I usually slide mine across floor. But still able to carry.

Sabco
Sabco   DM

Hi Val, As noted in product instructions, To help prevent spills, we recommend filling the bucket only to the maximum fill line. When carrying a full bucket, support it by holding both the handle and one end of the bucket to keep it stable.

We hope this helps.

Val
Val

Thanks for your reply Sabco but it is hard to do this when you are trying to hold the mop in your other hand at the same time as moving the bucket. It would just make sense to have the handle lock in the upright position when moving it.

Thanks, Val, we will pass your feedback onto our product development team for further consideration.

Hi There I have an under cover entertaining area with polished (unsealed) concrete as the floor. We get a layer of black dust cover the area and it needs regular sweeping/cleaning. I thought of getting a mop to use instead of a broom and am wondering if this Sabco Supadry Spin Mop and bucket will be appropriate ? thank you Helen

Sabco
Sabco   DM

Hi Helen, Thanks for getting in touch. I think we have a better product to suit your needs than SupaDry Spin Mop in this instance. I suggest instead the Suds Ultimate Flow Wash Brush - It is a brush that connects to your outdoor tap hose so that as you sweep it has water that flows through and washes away the dirt at the same time. It has a section you fill with detergent if you require that and an inbuilt squeegee, to remove water from the surface also.

Hi Thank you. My concern is that the slab is not graded for the water to drain away and so it becomes a big job to remove the water Helen

HI Helen, without seeing the area it is hard to advise further.

Does the sabco gen 2 super dry spin mop head have to be straight to spin

gaff
gaff

Yes it does

Sabco
Sabco   DM

Absolutely, the mop head should be aligned straight for optimal spinning in the spin basket. However, it's designed to tilt slightly during mopping to enhance its usability while covering the floor.

How do you remove the Sabco supadry gen2 spin mop head to replace or wash it?

Sabco
Sabco   DM

Hi Debbie, you need to pull away from the mop head one side at a time to un-clip. Then place in a wash bag to protect. If you need any further assistance please contact our friendly customer service team at ask.sabco@sabco.com.au Thank you

I would say that the handle mechanism has broken, so replacing the handle should fix it.Source a replacement from Sabco or Bunnings ($15)

hi I am inquiring where the buy the green locking nut that holds the mop to the handle as the green-looking nut has split.

Can you please advise where I can obtain one?

Thanks

Beaky

I would suggest you contact Sabco Customer Service and depending on how old your Sabco Spin Mop is, if this part has broken it could be covered under the warranty. Regardless, contacting them and asking them about it means that they will probably simply post out a replacement in the interests of "good will". I haven't had a problem with the "nut" either breaking or losing it. Sabco will see you right I'm sure. Gael

Hi, where do I buy a replacement green plastic screw piece that tightens mop head plate to handle. Mine split longways and now head falls off handle. I ordered 2 x replacement handles thinking green screw thing would be on then . Delivered yesterday from bunnings and NO green thing soooo annoyed. Please help? Guess I got a dud mop. Only 8mths old. Now, still no mop!!! Michelle

I have the very same problem, purchased within last 12 months. I would also like to know how/where to find replacement part

KarenW

The originals will be under warranty. If you have the receipt take them back and get a replacement. If you have a date then Bunnings (if you got it from there) will be able to look up the receipt for you. Maybe check your bank account for the date you paid them. Don't worry about replacements, just get a new one.

Very pleased with the spin mop and bucket. The handle on the bucket now won’t stay on when you lift the bucket , today I lifted a full bucket and it crashed to the floor! You can imagine the mess.

I bought the sabco complete clean spin and mop set . The mop does not wring much water after I even spin about 10 times. So i had to use my hand to squeeze out more water so that i could mop my wooden floor. Pls advise. Thank You.

We are VERY happy with ours and use it all the time. Just Wash out the mop in the bucket then un clip the handle, then carefully place it in the spinner so handle is vertical, then push downwards slowly, until it spins out all the water you want. We can make our mop almost completly dry if needed.

Sabco
Sabco   DM

Hi Premalata,

That shouldn't happen, please take a look at this video: external link  It shows you the right way to use the product :)

Also thank you Peter for the tips too!

Please let me know how you go

Hello, I purchased a Sabco Spin Mop a while ago from Bunnings. Very pleased with the performance until the end of the locking clip/lever on the handle broke so that the spinner cannot be used unless the clip is unlocked/locked using pliers. I notice the new version advertises on the box that it comes with an improved clip and handle suggesting that the version had a clip design weakness? How/where do I get either a replacement handle or clip please? Graeme PS. Bunnings says they do not supply handles for this mop.
