Saeco Incanto S class de luxe 16yo & still brilliant! – We bought our Saeco Incanto de luxe in 2007, it's still going well, now in 2023, but has a service every couple of yrs. We travel to the service man we trust in Melb, he's honest & brilliant (but hard to understand his accent): Tai Huynh, Sunshine Coffee Machine Service Ph 0434196611 Melb. (Highly recommended) When our machine finally gives up the… Read more
ghost, we'll buy another the same, knowing it will have to be 2nd hand. We know to clean it EVERY night (takes about 2 mins max.). It's made over 10,000 coffees. We don't use the steam wand anymore b/c it's too slow when friends are here. Easier & quicker to use a Breville milk frother. The other tip I'd give is to always turn it off when not making coffee, it only takes couple mins to warm up & you don't need to pay more for electricity when it's not being used.
Average Coffee & Service – Must say if I compare this to a $40 Woolies pod machine I'm asking myself… "Where's the CREMA???? from my Saeco" The Caffitaly pumps out some GREAT oils/crema and tasty brews from various brands of pods. I have looked after the unit very well. Replaced rings when needed. Couple of weeks ago the brewunit started clicking savagely on the first… Read more
cycle.
Googled the symptoms but can't find anything.
Took some video of it happening and sent it off to a coffee mob in the USA "Whole Latte Love" (from viewing their youtube FYI's) as well as saecoparts@segafredo.com.au here in OZ.
I got a reply from the USA next day.
Australian saecoparts pffft still bloody waiting and that's after sending a follow up email.
Pathetic service from the Aussie mob.
USA guys said it's most likely motor on it's way out.
The wife was the one who had coffee from the Saeco (I only have pods now from my woolies unit!)
so she now has to convert until I know what it's going to take to get the Incanto fixed.
That's if SAECO can be bothered to reply!
Absolute lemon – Makes great coffee when it works but so poorly made that it breaks down monthly.. Absolute garbage in terms of workmanship. Least robust machine on the market by a long long way. Such a pity as it really does make excellent coffee when it isn't falling to pieces . Not happy Show details
I love it! – I love my Saeco Incanto de luxe which we've had almost 9yrs. It took time to learn about it's maintenance. I had a few problems initially with cleaning when we didn't know how to use it properly. The 1st repairer gave us bad advice. Now I've learnt how to properly maintain it (from the good repairer) it's brilliant. Very easy to use & clean, makes… Read more · 1
great coffee with the right beans. You do have to clean it regularly, we aim to do it every 2nd night.
Perfect – The meter says 16997 pours. just sent it in to have check up and replace anything worn. Have never had a problem with it. Own 4 Espresso Machines. This one just keeps on putting out the coffee. Coffe/crema perfect. Use it daily. Looking for another for 2nd home. good luck Show reply
Not worth the money – I have an Saeco Intcano, paid over $1000 for it. Makes great coffee but always something going wrong with it. Two rubber rings replaced cost me $115.00, ridiculous, and the worse part about it all, the shop where I took it was absolutely stacked to the roof with the same machine and other models all requiring repairs. I am selling mine, have no… Read more
wish to pay for every little thing that goes wrong with it, obviously they are prone to breaking down.
My ex husband always said....... never buy anything that has a lot of moving parts, you will only have one thing after another going wrong with it. Hmmm guess I should have held on to him...lol Makes great coffee Leaks water, tells you coffee full to empty when it has nothing in in, makes a noise, the list goes on.
Purchased second hand! – I purchased ours off ebay 2 months ago. If you are prepared to fix it yourself where possible, these are fantastic. Coffee started dripping too slowly after playing with settings so I reset it to factory settings. Grinder stopped working, so I pulled the grinder out, then apart - coffee grounds pour out, hook it back up & I'm making coffee again.… Read more · 2
The computer states over 5000 coffees - our 9 year old makes our coffee most times - it's awesome!. Ease & convenience - my 9 year old son can use it! High maintenance - but worth it if you can do it yourself.
Hasn't missed a beat in 5 years – Has been a dream to own. We have it set to come on at 5.50am every morning and it's rinsed and warmed & ready to go when get to the kitchen for breakfast. We have used it day in day out for 5 years making a minimum of 4 coffees every morning, many more on weekends, and it's been great. We take our coffee black, and it produces a smooth strong… Read more
coffee with great creama, that is far more consistent than many cafes. Also pretty good for steaming milk to make hot chocolates for our daughter. reliable, easy to use, makes beautiful quality coffees. can be a bit noisy when grinding beans
Nice coffee but no end of trouble – If you are considering buying one of these, just be aware that you will have it being repaired time and again. Personally I regret buying what I thought to be a good machine. It has been cleaned regularly and I have followed everything from the instruction manual. It was back to the service centre after about six months because it was leaking… Read more
water. They had it for about a week and when I collected it they told me they had replaced a faulty o-ring. One wonders why it took so long to replace the o-ring, a five minute job. May be they have more than a few being repaired? Low and behold, just out of warranty, it started leaking again, so I purchased another o-ring and it temporarily fixed the leak. Now it's decided to start leaking again. In contrast, I purchased a $275 manual type Sunbeam many years before upgrading to a 'better unit', and gave it to my mother some three years ago. She uses it daily and it has never missed a beat. So in closing, my recommendation is to stay away from Saeco unless you are happy with getting to know your way to the service centre blindfolded. Reasonable coffee Totally unreliable machine.
It helps if you know how to repair it yourself – Sold my cafe and needed to fuel my addiction to coffee without having a nice commercial machine at hand. The service guy for my cafe machine recommended this one for home. 5 years and 7,000 coffees later it is still making the best tasting cup around. We use Republica beans and actually drive past cafe's to have one at home! We have replaced the… Read more
plastic valve - a design fault repaired under warranty on recall - and the steam kettle as ours developed a pinprick hole in it leaking steam inside the unit. My hubby is pretty handy and the warranty is expired so we just paid for the part. The grinder is still going strong. Yes, the dregs detector says it is full if a little dregs gets caught on the brew unit spring but it's a quick job to whip it out, wipe it and put it back. The sealed back unit makes the rest very easy to keep clean. I love that we can programme it to start up 2 mins before the alarm goes off so it is hot and ready to make the first cup of the day. We also steam our milk directly in our mugs and bypass the whole steel jug cleaning job, lol. Totally reliable. Programme it to start up before we get out of bed. Very simple to use - even MIL can make a drinkable coffee. Enormously variable steam control means steaming milk in a mug rather than a whole jug full is easy. Terrific onboard grinder means less mess. After warranty you can repair it yourself with just a little knowhow and common sense. Hmmmmm, nothing at all. I wouldn't bother to deal with the local service agent though - he's a bit precious and is never wrong, even when he is patently wrong.
Terrible – Would not recommend and will never purchase Saeco again. My brother owns the same machine and has been more fortunate until recently, his machine has now stopped working also. Even the repairer admmitted that these machines are hit and miss, apparently some will happily make 15,000+ cups and others only 1000. Easy to clean and makes a lovely… Read more
coffee (when working properly). Inconsistent coffee temperature and amount dispensed. Steam wand stopped working after only a few months use, water pump needed replacing after 18 months. Machine stopped working 15 months after repair. Will not pay for more repairs so machine will find a new home at the dump.
OK – Apart from the grinder mechanism being overly sensitive to oilier beans (which I found can be prevented by using Lavazza Gold label exclusively) it has been a good machine. Have had the machine for some years now. Is simple to use and makes excellent coffee Was extremely expensive. It does not like dark roast/oily beans! Do not put them in as… Read more
they will clog up the grinder which will result in an expensive service/new parts if you aren't of the handy persuasion. Is also temperamental - the "dregdrawer full" message is popular when it is actually empty and you are in a hurry.
Reliable work horse – This machine has been an unbelievably reliable old work horse. No frills and is slow to make multiple cups of milk based coffee. The dreg counter is erratic and frustrating but apart from that it just churns out great cups of coffee year after year. I make about 20 cups/week and have been doing so for around 8 years. It had its first service a… Read more
month or two back because it was leaking a bit. $70 later she is firing on all fours perfectly again. I do admit it is getting a bit noisy and seems to leave more mess inside as she gets older but hey, after making something approaching 8,000 cups who can complain. reliable and simple dregs counter is frustrating as the machine wont go until I reset it

This is Perfect, can't live without my Saeco – As a coffee lover I have tried numerous brands over the years and this would have to be my all time favourite machine. It is a work horse :) I make at least 10-15 coffee's a day and it has never failed to produce a perfect cup. Reliable and makes a perfect coffee every time
Excellent – Best ever coffee machine, easy to use and very reliable. Use good quality coffee beans and you will never be disappointed Best coffee machine ever! Second Saeco I have owned, upgraded to this one. It has never has missed a beat, I clean it regularly and have never needed to have it professionally serviced and it is 3 years old. My machine makes at least 10 cups/ day. Now you can't beat that!! Highly recommend a Saeco Haven't found any
Never again – Worst coffee machine ever. Replaced after only two weeks, no steam. Two machines in two weeks and got another two weeks before this one died. I don't know how people can say good things about this. We were told saeco was the best. Delongi here we come.get sore hands belting the sides to make it work. Always displays fill watertank give it a hit or… Read more
10 and sometimes goes off. Find putting milk in microwave before using machine is OK. Ha ha complained to saeco but didn't care too much. I know if I treated my customers the same I wouldn't have a job. Sorry saeco can't even give you one star. Make good boat anchor. Glad we still have a kettle.
Did you know what you were doing??? I have had one for years and it is great. Solid and reliable and great coffee every time.
Terrible – Absolute rubbish. Don't waste your money. We try to use this machine every day na dit continues to stuff up - especially when trying to steam milk. Works great for 10 seconds max, then just starts pumping out water. Makes terrible Coffee. Steam works for about 10 seconds, then pumps out water, then tells you to 'ventilate'
Terrible – Would not recommend Saeco to anyone. Poor machines, poor service and you are left feeling very poor from all the money and time that these machines cost you. Looks good on the bench and is easy to use Is totally unreliable, leaks, needs constant repairs so make sure you get that extended warranty. We had two machines in two years, neither worked… Read more
longer that 8 months, the first had to be replaced as it was broken by repairer in transit and the second is still waiting to be repaired! We expect that this will also take 8 weeks. Don't bother ringing Saeco as you will get the run around and no support whatsoever.
Terrible – Expensive and frustgrating machine. It never worked properly. Took it back a couple of times - was told i have to empty grounds every time i make a coffee, but still didn't work properly. Kept stopping and flashing lights at me but when i did what the book said nothing happened. I have given up now and bought a Jura which is wonderful It looked… Read more
all right on the benchtop When it did work - about a month, the coffee was weak and lukewarm. Very frustrating machine.
Unsatifactory – Owned the Incanto Deluxe for 5 years and although it has made about 5 cups a day, the espresso was never warm, extraction rate was not good and the machine sometimes leaked. On average repaired annually at a cost of $125 each service. Dregdraw full message was often erroneous, and as the machine got older became less efficient at removing dregs,… Read more
requiring very frequent brew unit cleaning, and declining coffee quality. The Saeco agent i dealt with was very self righteous coffee pontificators and had an answer for everything, so i have decided to steer clear of them and saeco. Its riduculous that a simple beverage like coffee is made so complicated and costly, through the use of these automated systems, and Saeco Incanto is the only automatic I have owned. Reliable only if serviced, but quality of coffee is poor for the price of the machine Agent concerned about sales, not longevity of customer relationship, for domestic market anyway.
Excellent – Maybe it's because I have an older machine that I haven't had ANY of the problems I've just read about from other owners. After 6 years I'm still in love with this machine, and think it's just as good as the very similar, high-end, Delonghi my sister has. Fantastic coffee, easy to use and clean. Have had now for 6 years with no problems except… Read more

Excellent – Generally a great machine. I have have mine for 5.5yrs now. I've made over 12,000 coffees, everyone as tasty as the last. It's only problem has been I wore out the grinder & grinder motor. Just had it replaced and had the seals, thermostate and couple of other bits replaced while it was in the shop, Total cost of repairs was $381.00. Even with the… Read more

OK – This machine makes a great range of coffees and has excellent features. It does however have a reliability problem. We had the machine repaired during warranty- no hot water or steam. Now, just over a year later, the problem is back! Some days there's steam but so far no hot water. The machine is also leaking water. I can't find the source of… Read more
the leak but a puddle appears under the machine every time you use it.We make 4 coffees a day, so the usage is light and I think the reliability of this machine is below standard for a product that was selling for over $1300 when we bought it. Easy to use, makes a great range of coffees, the visual display, frothing facility Two service/ repairs needed in two and half years, unreliable hot water feature
Terrible – Am I disappointed: yes I am very disappointed. When you spend $1000.00 you would think it would last at least 1000 days.........That's not asking for too much is it? Between the cost of the machine, lavazza coffee beans, water, water filter, descaling liquid, breakdown and service fee, it is cheaper to drive to CIBO at Norwood and pay for coffee,… Read more
cake and carpark twice a day. And enjoy the beautiful scenery norwood has to offer.
Unfortunately the cons heavily outweigh the pros looks the part, the black paint doesn't scratch easily as opposed to the chrome ones, warms up quickly, easy to clean, nice coffee Cost of machine: $1000.00
Breakdowns: twice in under 2 yrs. One of them under warranty.
Total coffees made: under 300
Second breakdown cost: $415.00
Total cost of machine: $1415.00
Value for money: You decide.
What did SAECO say about it: "Are you sure you don't want to fix it? It is a very good machine".
"they did tell you in the service department that there is a $71.00 service fee?".
Worth fixing: At $1000.00 I didn't get my money's worth. An extra $415.00 on top is just insane.
Excellent – We had a sunbeam at home machine - ok not in the same league, but we bought it because it was referred to us. Really it was just a disaster, didn't work, was clunky and just not user friendly. The Saeco is FABULOUS! simple to use, looks great on the bench and makse super coffee!Im in love!! So easy to use! efficient, quick and just a delight!… Read more

Excellent – Great value for money. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy to program. Choice magazine rated this machine as the best in a recent review. Very compact and looks great too. OK – A stylish piece of equipment ideal for a couple who entertain and are more interested in producing coffees for friends than for actually pursuing coffee as a passion! few variables to worry about. coffees-- 4000 in 2 years!- relatively reliable. thermoblock is not the best way to make espresso-

OK – This is the second Saeco machine I have owned. The first one was a Magic which had better water capacity and waste bin but was noisier and only had a single boiler requiring a wait between stream and coffee. Makes great coffee and has done so for last two years The stream tap assembly has failed twice, the first time after about 6 weeks and just… Read more
recently at about 2.5 years of age. No longer in warranty so I took a look and found that a plastic seem in stream tap has split. Excellent – I would recommend this product to anyone how wants a good reliable automatic coffee machine that makes a good coffee every time...all my friends just look forward to being invited for dinnerand poker nights just for my coffees....Ha great mates Makes a great espresso with great golden crema everytime with right coffee beans water tank to small needs refilling before you know it
Excellent – I highly recommend this machine for its ease of use and reliability. I have had mine for about three years now and has never given me any worries. with the right temperature and frothing wand is extremely easy to use. gives good constant steam water tank is a bit small
Excellent – Like it a lot.Reliable and produces a pretty good coffee. Hey, no-one said it would replace a Barista, but with the right blend of bean you can get a lot better cup than the muck from a jar. I tend to have a large plus a short in the one cup. I like it strong. Have made over 6500 cups, with no major problems. Easy to clean. Seems to need descaling a lot.(Although I ignore this).A bigger water compartment would have been good.
Good – This coffee machine is good value for money and once you have one of these, you'll wonder how you ever drank instant coffee!!! It make great froth for cappucinos and hot chocolates, everyone wants to come for a coffee now! Holds a good amount of water and coffee beans. It is great how you don't have to empty out the ground coffee beans every time… Read more
you make a coffee. Nice amount of crema on the coffee.
As you can tell, we love our coffee machine!! Makes good coffee. Easy to use.
Terrible – I would not buy this machine.i avhe had it in for service 3 times and it is certainly not as good as my cheaper ones the grinder is good the steamer is terrible it pees out 1/4 cup of water before any steam starts then it pumps and pumps.the water isnt very hot and the nozzle slips off. it has been in for service 3 times and is still crap for a $1600 machine it is terrible
Excellent – i highly recommend this SAECO machine to anyone who prefer simplicity, reliability and consistency. good quality coffee beans, clean water, brown sugar (for me) and a variety of creamer will make this machine an enjoyable daily "automatic barista" to any home or office. i tried jura, solis and other machines. i chose Saeco Incanto deluxe because… Read more
it is simple to use with easy to follow menu on its LCD. a few buttons to push and i have an enjoyable strong French/Italian espresso coffee. quality of coffee is superb, similar to coffee from my high pressure semi-auto espresso machine. frother/steamer wand is very good. ceramic grinder is noisy but reliable and is adjustable for grain size !! preground bypass dosser is handy. SBS control and pre-infusion stage are important for my very strong coffee and mild variant for my wife. i use distilled water to avoid de-scaling routines. cleaning with running water the brew group seem challenging at first but after 3-5 tries it is a breeze to do. i do not use the cup warmer and i enabled the energy saving mode to save on electric bills. after more than 250 cups in less than 1 month of home use, i have NO complaint here. i bought my SAECO INCANTO deluxe brandnew from HCC Philippines who will provide after sales service (and parts) in case the unit will need it.
