why does my brew unit not go back into the machine

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hello Pat, thank you for your question. We would like to provide you with some instructions in order to see if we can help you place the brew group back in its place: Firstly, make sure the brew group is in the rest position; the two reference signs must match. For this, gently pull down the lever until it is in contact with the brew group base and the two reference signs on the side of the brew group do match. Make sure the hook to lock the brew group is in the correct position by firmly pressing the “PUSH” button until you hear a click. Check if the hook is at the top end position. If it is not, please try again. Then, insert the brew group in its seat again until it locks into place without pressing the “PUSH” button. Insert the coffee grounds drawer with the drip tray back into the machine and close the service door. Insert the coffee residues drawer in its seat and ensure that it is correctly in place. Please note that if the coffee residues drawer is not correctly positioned, the brew group may not fit into the machine.

We hope this helps fix the issue. Should you still have trouble, please call our colleagues for more information. You can reach them directly on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. They're always happy to help!

Hi Pat, if you are talking about the electrical jug plug at rear not fitting probably at the end and often falling out, I've had the same problem for years. My only advice is perservere and keep pushing while trying to get the end inside the unit to line up with it. Have had mine serviced three times and that was never anything properly fixed. I think it is is pure design fault in an anotherwise pretty good machine.

Hi There, Have a Saeco HD8761/03 that has served me faithfully for years. I was doing a descaling procedure but it seems the machine has lost its programming as it continually goes through the cycle and will not come to the end of the procedure. I have checked everything I can including a thorough cleaning and lubrication of the mechanism and still no luck. I was wondering if there is a machine BIOS reset or similar that would return the machine to functioning as it was before the clean calc procedure.

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hi there, Gamve. Thank you for your time spent on sharing your experience with your Saeco coffee machine. We're sorry to hear about your troubles. Could you kindly try to take out the water reservoir, dry the outside of the tank and place it back? Afterwards, please continue finishing the rinsing cycle. If this will not improve your experience, we'd like to refer you to our product team for more information. You can reach them directly on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. They'll be happy to help. Hi, my saeco minuto started to either pour coffee outside the brewing group or too much into the brewing cup so that it wasted a lot of ground coffee all over the inside and into the drip tray. What is the issue and how to fix?

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hi Anton. Thanks for taking the time and writing this review. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with the Saeco machine. We would like to see if some trouble shooting can help here. If no water is drawn from the water tank of your Saeco espresso machine, then it might the case that air is trapped in the machine and is blocking the water supply. For espresso machines with a water tank on the front of the machine, make sure that the water tank is pushed fully to the back to ensure it is inserted correctly. For espresso machine with water tank on top of the machine, ensure that the area underneath the water tank is free from dirt, particles or coffee beans. If this does not work, please contact 0800 658 224 (NZ) from Monday - Friday: 11:00 am - 09:00 pm or 1300 363 391 (AU) from Monday - Friday: 09:00 am - 07:00 pm EST. Please allow some time to process the call, due to the current circumstance.

So My mate has a Saeco minuto coffee machine and All it wants to do is the cleaning cycle

I got rid of mine after 6 months. Replaced with Delonghi fully automatic coffee machine. I have never looked back and put my Saecco down to a bad experience.

Until he does the cleaning cycle or skips it ( little symbol think top right shows the button to push) it won’t work. Clear not everyone has had good experiences. Maybe I’ve been lucky. Had for over 5 years and had it serviced twice ... major issue both times was getting it descaled as I had cleaned it with water but not added descalant.

Why does my descaling process take3 hours as opposed to 30 minutes?

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hi there, Shalini. Thanks for reaching out here. We're sorry to read the descaling process takes three hours in stead of the normal 30 minutes. That sounds like something isn't going very well. Have you tried to descale your Saeco before. or is this the first time? If that's the case, have you already had a look here: external link ? Maybe that helps.

If this just occurred recently, it could be that there's something going on. In that case, we recommend to give our colleagues a call at 1300 363 391 (Australia) or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand). They can you assist you further with this.

Hopefully everything will be back to normal again soon.

Rinse cycle on a minute espresso maker will not stop how do I reset it or turn the cycle off?

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hi Perro, thanks for your question. Your Minuto will start an automatic rinse after the warm-up is complete. This should not take longer than one minute. However, it the rinse is still going on, you can stop this manually with the half-full coffee cup button for espresso. If this is not helping, and the rinse is still going on, please contact us on the following number: 1300 363 391 (AU - Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST) or 0800 658 224 (NZ - Mondays to Saturdays: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm).

How do you clean the jets that the coffe comes out of

The left side is running freely, the right side only drips?

Chalky
Chalky

The machine regularly invites rescaling using a powder ( dissolve in water tank) or liquid. This should remove any hard water/calcium or other solid build up in the jets. It might be slightly time consuming but it’s inexpensive and will keep your machine running better.

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hi Virgina, thanks for asking this question. It sounds like the coffee spout is clogged up. You can clean this easily with a small pipe cleaning brush or needle. Besides this, we recommend descaling your Saeco Minuto regularly to keep it in top performance. You can find the detailed instructions for descaling your machine in the manual. This should solve the issue.

Saeco

Hi there, thanks for asking. Different coffee blends require different levels of granularity for the full flavor to unfold. The grind granularity of this espresso machine can be adjusted in 5 settings, from the finest grind, for a full bodied espresso, to the coarsest, for a lighter coffee. :)

Hi I have a saeco minuto black with own frothing device. I turn it on the machine flushes. Gets to the decalc screen. I can not start or esc out of it. Its like the buttons don't engage. Yet the power button works. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hi Danm, Thank you for getting in contact with us about this. From your message it sounds like your machine needs descaling. Before starting with this process, it is important to empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds drawer, and to remove the milk frother. If you're using an INTENZA+ water filter, you need to replace this one with its original filter before starting with the descaling process. After this you should be able to press the descaling button. For further information on how to descale, please have a look at the manual: external link . If you're still not able to get any buttons to work properly, please contact our support team on 1300 363 391 (AU) or 0800 658 224 (NZ). Our specialists will then look into this further to get your Saeco back to working properly.

Kind regards,

The Philips Australia Team.

I bought this machine in december 2014, i've descaled it with the saeco descaler each time the machine asks for it, try and keep it clean etc. Now the water is coming out a bit colder from the wand, and no creama on coffee anymore. On the nozzles where the coffee comes out, the right just drips a little, and then after the coffee is finished coming out they both keep dripping for like a minute. Is it time to buy a new machine, or does this sound easily fixable?

It has been 3 hrs still going thru the rescale cycle . Why is it taking so long I read it should be 30 minutes. It just keeps going

DrQwerty

One of fam members kept adding water before it said to and it just kept going so that could be doing it if you keep adding water. Just a suggestion as I have seen it before.

I have a minute HD8764 and a few days ago he asked me for the decalcification process. The process is simple, fill the tank to the calc clean level and give it a start. The problem is that it never shows that there is a lack of water to the point that the tank runs out of water and the air enters the circuit. I have spent more than 8 liters of water filling the tank every time I saw the low level.

I know that I must give notice of lack of water after the first tank with the specific liquid to decalcify so that it goes to the rinsing process. But as the warning of lack of water does not jump, the rinsing process never arrives. What can happen?

The lack of water sensor works when I turn it on before pressing in start for the calc clean process, I turn on the machine without water and the warning goes off, I fill the tank and the warning is removed, but when I give start it does not return to Skip the warning.

Can you help me? Is the water sensor problem or is it another problem?

Hi there,

I own a saeco minuto HD8763 which make my life happier. Generally no issues. This morning, I turn on the machine, but I see the "thermometer" and it remains there, not going in the menu ; it stays in the warm up phase. What is the issue?

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hi Markatatos, thank you for reaching out to us here. When your Saeco takes a long time to warm up, it could be that the machine circuit is clogged by limescale. Therefore, it might help to descale the machine. To do so, please follow the steps in the user manual you find here: external link . If this doesn't help, we kindly ask you to reach out to us by phone (AU 1300 363 391; NZ 0800 658 224) so we can further investigate the issue. Thanks in advance, we hope this helps you!

Hi . I have a Saeco minuto HD8763. The plastic cover over the bean grinder was removed to service the machine. Once serviced the cover was put back with the origial screw ( bolt ). When the beans begin grinding, the cover starts to spin with the grinder. It has damaged the small guide that holds in place. I have loosened the screw in hopes that this would solve the problem but it then tightens automatically once the grinding begins. I then put the cover in place with no screw and it works if full of beans, but I am worried when there are not enough beans in place it may move into the grinder. How can this problem be solved?

Chalky

Sorry I don’t know a technical solution but I would recommend you take it back to whoever serviced it. It sounds like they did something wrong and should fix the problem.

Jorge

I serviced the machine. The screw on the cover was taken out to remove the cover and replaced simply by screwing in and out . Nothing was done incorrectly. Please advise thank you

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Hi Jorge, Sorry to see you've been having a bit of bad luck with your Minuto, but thanks for sharing your experience here. We've had a quick look at a Minuto here at the office, are you referring to the small screw on the bottom right of the bean hopper? It isn't necessary to unscrew this and remove the cover to service the machine yourself. We actually recommend against unscrewing any screw on the device. But we can imagine that this may not be very helpful for now, so we would recommend reaching out to our consumer care colleagues on 1300 363 391 for Australia, or 0800 658 224 for New Zealand. They'd love to see how we can help out a bit more directly.

My minuto machine was just descaled again. Now even with a full reservoir it shows the no water symbol. I turned it off and it comes straight on again with no water icon. What is the problem? It was working fine before and usual descaling. Help me. Tried problem shooting. I am too pregnant and frustrated to fix this thing.

Saeco
Saeco   DM

Thanks for reaching out and for already trying these things, even when being pregnant. We hope all is well? :-) If - after descaling - the ‘water tank empty’ symbol appears on the display instead of the ‘Calc Clean ready’ symbol, it's possible you did not fill the water tank up to MAX level. Have you tried refilling the water tank up to MAX level and performing another rinsing cycle? You can repeat steps 8-9 until the ‘Calc Clean ready’ symbol appears. You may have to do this several times before the ‘Calc Clean ready’ symbol appears. If this doesn't work out, we'd love to further assist you via: 1300 363 391 if your're based in Australia (Mondays to Fridays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST and Saturdays: 7:00 am - 1:00 pm EST).
