So hard to clean and always wet! – The worst fridge, I purchased in 2017, and i know it's 7 years on but the ice maker hasn't worked since 2019. It is so hard clean, especially the crisper boxers, they don't come apart to get crumbs out of it. It is the worst designed fridge. Same problem as everyone else, the crisper boxes are always wet. the same issue as past 2 times. After seeing the post by Suzanne I have requested a credit from where i bought it , it has been passed on but we will see if anyone gets back to me. I paid $1595 and did not expect to have such a bad fridge that has issues every 2 years. Samsung has called me and refused to fix it, or refund me even though it's been fixed twice already for the same issue. Are we expected to spend money every 2 years to fix the same problem. I love this product – This fridge/freezer is fantastic. I have had this product for around 18 months, it's big enough for a family of 4-6 people. I love the convenience of having ice cold water available whenever I need it and also the ice cubes and crushed ice. Water leaking into crisper for 6 years – Bought Samsung 583L French Door fridge from Harvey Norman in 11/2017. Water started leaking in the crisper 1 year later. Samsung was nice to send a technician free of cost who what appeared at the time 'fixed' the issue. Issue came back in few months and then again in another few months. but seemingly never could fix it. Last issue in 2020, when Samsung technician apparently 'changed' the entire part and was told issue now really 'fixed' forever - No Kidding this time.
Come July-23, lo and behold water started leaking again in crisper. Now Samsung says fridge is out of 'warranty'. Forget about replacing this piece of crap but they won't even fix the issue like they did in the past. but get this, fridge was already out of warranty when they supposedly had a major overhaul on this unit and changed entire part - evidently issue not resolved.
They essentially punished us for being patient with them and not demanding a replacement first time the issue appeared. Even though it is their inability to fix their own fridges. Now, I am being asked to pay to retrieve old technician reports to lodge an ACCC complaint.
Check on the internet. This is a very common issue with Samsung fridges. Customer service is polite but in the end the equipment is crappy. Also, their 'technicians' are completely inept to fix the faults. Technician came to our house 1 week ago, opened the faulty fridge parts only to 'inspect' and won't fix the issue - to prepare a Report first. Meanwhile, fridge is still leaking. And, now Samsung says they WON'T fix the problem - only because we are 'out of warranty'. But fails to acknowledge their own inability to rectify faults.
DO NOT BUY this crap and instead spend money for a better quality product.

did not fix the problem. I asked if I could recieve a refund and would like to "upgrade" to another Samsung fridge. This was rejected and was told that this was because they would repair the fridge once again. The repair lasted a few years but over the past year the problem has returned. I am considering purchasing another fridge but feel very let down by this fridge and the known issues that it has.
Don't buy – Purchae Samsung 583dls 5 and 1/2 years ago first fault after 3 years fan not working water in veg box. Do not buy Samsung frig! – Condensate leaks into vege drawers and Also underneath vege drawers. This a known problem that Samsung ignores, and keeps getting their service company to swap the back section of the cabinet, but it does not solve the problem. Very poor quality – I purchased this fridge in 2017. It has never worked properly since day 1 I purchased it. There is severe condensation in the crispy drawers so can’t use the 2 drawers. next day you will find a lot of water leaking out on the floor, all the frozen food melted then you realise that the condensation is very mad again and needs to clear it. I have the technician came to fix it, still the same. I think Samsung overall has very bad product control coz all my Samsung appliances (I bought this Samsung fridge, a Samsung microwave and Samsung smart TV when I moved in to my new place in end of 2017) they ate not working working now in only 4.5 years while my other appliances from Bosch, Smeg, Kitchen aid still work beautifully, never have a trouble.
So disappointed – 5 months old and the freezer has stopped freezing lost all my food in the middle of a pandemic when supplies are low too. water leaking fake stainless steel outer case with Bubbles – This fridge is leaking water out the water dispenser and condensation where the doors come together , in the last week it has begun getting bubbles in the fake stainless that is covering the doors. It happened again and was repaired again under warranty. So now we have come to the third time this has happened. To be told by Samsung that because we no longer have warranty on the said fridge, that they are not prepared to do anything for us! Cannot repair and will not replace!
According to the consumer ACCC customer guarantee laws. When you purchase a product from a supplier the said supplier has to make sure that the goods you are purchasing are: Safe, Lasting ( think a fridge should last a wee bit longer than 4 1/2 years, I was hoping for atleast 8/10 years), With no faults, Acceptable quality. Acceptable quality takes into account what would normally be expected for the type of product and cost!
So don't buy Samsung fridges! Now need to purchase one that works. NOT A SAMSUNG!
Do not buy any Samsung fridge – Water collection on the bottom crispers and it ices over. Then the stainless steel rusts around the edges. The fridge is kept indoor. Multiple repairs and still broken – Water leaks into the crisper tray. Multiple repairs, once under warranty and the issue reappeared two months later. I contacted Samsung but they weren't interested in fixing this fridge because I did not have a serial number when I purchased the fridge. I was not aware a serial number was this important until now. They do not want to help if you do not have a serial number.
By this experience, I would never recommend Samsung fridges to anybody. Absolute nightmare.
If anyone has any advice on how to proceed, please let me know.
Stay away from this one – Purchased Dec 2016- First leaks into the water tray started 18-24 months later. Samsung covered two repairs by the authorised repairer but won't replace as out of warranty. Failed out of warranty, and unable to be repaired – The fridge was good while it lasted. Good size, and the ice maker (while really loud) was reliable and produced a good amount of ice. The authorised repairer made two visits but was unable to repair the fridge (the way the defrost function works had caused the defrost element connectors to corrode, and they're attached to the main cabinet which cannot be repaired). Apparently this is common fault with Samsung fridges. Ultimately, I've paid for call-out and service, just to be told I have to buy a new fridge.
I contacted Samsung to see if there was anything else that could be done, but they only provided the same canned response, telling me to contact their authorised repairer "for a reasonably priced repair". After over a month of chasing their "Voice of Customer" team (weekly emails and phone calls) for a better solution, or some kind of reimbursement for the service fees, I still have not received any response. I asked their social media team via facebook if they could follow up. To that teams credit, they responded, but advised there is nothing that can be done.
These are one of the cheaper products in the category, but don't expect them to last, or to get any kind of service outside warranty.

have stopped using the crisper, finally sick of food going moldy in one day! Not to mention how quickly milk goes off! I have the fridge temperature set exactly where it should be but milk just wont make it even to the best before date!
