Don't use courier as a delivery service
great place to shop. But courier service on the other hand not helpful. i was not there for the first drop off, but the second time i told them i was not going to be there on that date. I wish i would of had it just dropped off at the post office. Now waiting for phone call back from Scorptec.

Fantastic Product Inventory, Great Customer Service
Decided it was time to purchase a new desktop gaming pc, browsed the online store and began researching the desktop towers available. After much deliberation, MSI Infinite 9SH was the way to go, priced very fairly for what they offer. Solid internal components, more than capable of providing high performance for the simulators I run while in a very compact tower making it extremely portable which is a big tick. Scorptec service was fantastic as always. Computer was out of stock in Clayton store, ordered from supplier and arrived in store by the...end of the day, very timely service. Process of picking up order was simple, very happy with the overall experience as always. Will be purchasing a new laptop in the future from Scorptec, wouldn't go anywhere else. Very happy with MSI and the services they offer, would highly recommend.
The reviewer stated that an incentive was offered for this review
They will say items are in stock to stop you from buying elsewhere.
I bought a Phanteks mITX case and a Cooler Master PSU both of which were said to be in stock and after I purchased them they said it won't be available for a week. Its been nearly 3 WEEKS NOW and they still say the PSU hasn't arrived yet. I'm not even ordering by delivery mind you, I'm ordering for PICK-UP. On top of this, when I question them about my order it takes them a whole week to reply! WHY? Do you purposely ignore my emails?
I've always bought from Mwave and PCCG but decided to buy from Scorptec because the items I wanted were a bit cheaper and in stock. Never again.
I do not recommend this store to anyone. You have been warned.
Courier and lack of response to my complaint.
I sent them the following: and a week late, they still hadn't replied to me.
First of all, I want to thank you for my new flight simulator hardware, it's just fantastic. Please understand that I am a polite gentleman and rarely complain. However, I am disappointed and upset about the shipping costs. I paid $53, the fastest way to get this, as I had to get home and leave it up there at work.
1) Why did Startrack take 6 days to delivery my order, when it informed me on you web site, that the most expensive shipping would only tak...e 2 business days? 2) I informed you that I am in a wheelchair and not to "card it". The reason for this is that there are no disabled parking at the post office. You did put on the shipping "do not redirect - signature required" but on the very day I got a SMS to say it was delivered, I was at my work (and all those days after I ordered and never went anywhere)
Abhorrenr customer service
Warranty was to be returned to me. Wasn't posted back for 4 days. Supposedly due to a courier failing to collect which is utter crap. Offered to pay express shipping return. Was told it would be express. Ended up having to call them to find out that it was only standard shipped. Because it only takes 1 to 2 days anyway. Three days later package arrives... That wasn't what I wanted. I would have gladly paid extra for it to be expressed given I had been without a gpu for 3 weeks already given their abysmal warranty checks. Will never purchase from this company again and will make sure to go out of my way to make sure all friends, communities and online gaming buddies know to never purchase from them either

Completely ridiculous handling of warranty
Items purchased 17/6
Warranty claim lodged 25/7
Followed up in late August, was told to re-lodge claim as they had no idea about it
Warranty claim finally approved 10/9
Warranty claim rejected 19/9 (nine days later) as "items not received within 14 days"
They've been difficult to deal with the entire time, failed to respond to emails, hard to get a hold of anyone... will never order from Scorptec again
Wanted TridentZ Neo 3600Mhz. Got TridentZ Neo 3600Mhz. Easy to navigate, easy to order, order fulfilled in 3 days. Can't say a bad word. Customer service was excellent, speedy response to my queries. Will definitely shop with Scorptec again!
Poor communication and delivery time alignment
*Update: have now received a call back and upgraded rating accordingly.
Ordered a full system almost 1 month ago and the CPU is still outstanding. The CPU itself is in short supply, so the delay is understandable, however the communication has been very poor. After ordering on the 18/7, I was advised delivery would be 30/7. Each week since then I've been told it will come in the following week and the date keeps getting pushed back. The worst part is they accidentally cancelled my order and when they re-entered it, put me at the back of the queue.
Have been told someone will be in touch but so far no call and now the only communication I receive is when I call them.
Still waiting for my order and a call from head office on ETA.

ASUS cashback offer followed up for a great result.
I had an issue with a cashback offer with ASUS.
David from Scorptec followed it up for me, and provided great service, even the issue wasn't Scorptecs fault.
Thanks for all your work David.
HUAWEI PRO X 2019
I recently bought a new Huawei MateBook X Pro from this company. I was expecting the latest version of the laptop to be given but instead, they gave me the previous version of the laptop (2018 instead of 2019). When I tried to call to ask them to look into it, they confirmed that they gave me the older version. Instead of rectifying the problem, they asked me if I have opened the package. I told them I only took off the plastic wrapping and lifted the lid of the box. Nothing in the box was touched - that was when I realised that the Matebook (2...018) I had received was not the latest generation (2019) which was what I under the impression of buying. For a company that sells products into the thousands of dollars range, I expect the best customer service. Upon calling I was passed around to multiple "representatives" with the last representative being the most rude, constantly interrupting me whilst I was explaining the situation which prompted me to hang because why should I tolerate such disrespectful service from a "customer service" representative? This product is not cheap, coming in at 2.6k, I was told a re-stocking fee would by 15% of the product. That's more than GST!!! This is a big slap in the face for someone who's trying to support a local company. I should've bought this somewhere else for a cheaper price. It was my mistake for choosing Scorptec. I've never had this problem at big chains such as JB HiFi or Officeworks or even Harvey Norman! Their customer service is amazing unlike this small company who slapped me right across the face with a ridiculous fee of $389 (15% of purchased price). What a rip off. Their price is a lot more expensive than others online. I recommend all buyers to head to a larger tech giant or seller like JB HiFi/Officeworks who won't charge a ridiculous stocking fee and who understands what customer service is.

Had some troubles but ended out great
Without going into too much depth regarding this situation, our laptop had to go in for warranty and the process was quite smooth, while we had some troubles with the repaired unit (MSI laptop) they were quick to obtain authorization to organize an urgent remedy on the next weekend which was approved to help work around the fact that I work full time. fantastic support, can not thank you guys enough. 4 stars simply due to the fact that the issue wasn't resolved the first time, instead more problems arose; though this was fixed in a prompt manner.
Terrible return policy
Claiming warranty resulted in:
- Immediate rejection of the claim
- they refused to accept they had a responsibility to repair or replace the item
- they demanded fees for repair and restocking of warranty items
- they try and get you to record the conversation within their system so they control the evidence of communication
- they require you to accept terms which void your customers consumer rights
The last one is the worst:
They demand you accept
- additional fees without knowing if you will incur them...
We purchased a $2500 computer for our son in early January 2019, our son is year 12. We have had issues with the computer from the start. We have returned it once to receive it back 3 1/2 weeks later yet it still had issues, we have not been impressed with the response from Scorptec who have basically tried to avoid taking responsibility for the faulty product they sold us. Although a couple of staff have tried to be helpful with trouble shooting overall there is a lack of concern that this is continuing to interrupt our son's school work duri...ng what is already a very stressful year. It has now been sent back again and we have requested a full refund ...that was 10 days ago. This has been a continual back and forth literally since the day we received the computer.
Really professional service
I have just received a new PC from Scorptec. Right from the beginning I found that dealing with this company was professional and efficient. Emails were replied to within hours, phone calls were friendly and helpful. The person I was working with, Romeo was excellent. The process of choosing parts and paying was easy and the level of communication throughout the whole time was excellent. I knew exactly when all of the parts had arrived, when the build had begun and when the computer had been shipped. It arrived really well packaged with no omi...ssions and ran fine on startup. The build was also very professionally done with neat cabling and obvious care shown, they had even already enabled XMP! The only minor glitch was that the BenQ SW271 monitor came with a European pinned power cable but I had a spare. At 63 years of age I am old school and like good service. I received the best here.
A swing and a miss
After speaking to a member of staff who suggested lowering my professional video and CAD workstation specification to a Z370 motherboard and adding RGB lights to improve workflow, i decided to shop elsewhere. Staff seemed more interested in pushing their own agenda. Polite to talk to however they lack the technical knowledge to help with professional grade, non-gaming computers.
Warranty Case Not Valid????????
We purchased a mainboard with three years warranty. The mainboard stopped powering up after 18 months (well within the warranty period). Since conducting Return Authority we have been given all types of excuses to why the motherboard cannot be tested therefor replaced or fixed. After reading some of the reviews on this page and google there seems to be a practice of trying to get out of warranty claims.
Excuse where plenty full such as;
• The item had rust on a USB housing.
• We live to close to the water.
• Thermal paste in the CPU socket.
• The CPU bracket has been modified.
• There is liquid on the board.
It seems that the number of excuses to why the motherboard and not be tested, fixed or replaced is endless. ...We have been back and forth with Scorptec a number of times until we were going around in circles. They have even denied the right to have the board fixed elsewhere and charge it back to them, which is clearly a breach of ACCC guidelines. The last response was "We are stating that the product is not covered by warranty or guarantee, and because it is not covered by warranty or guarantee we cannot provide a remedy. We understand that this is not an ideal solution for you, which is why we pursued this further with the manufacturer and our suppliers to see if there was something we could do to help even though the item was expressly outside of warranty or guarantee". I have taken several steps as I am sick of retailers, resellers and or manufactures using every excuse to wiggle out of warranty claims. It seems from this website this retailer has a bad habit of it. One start reviews= 40, five-star reviews = 52 would paint the picture, not a great average. I have contacted the ACCC asking them for guidance in which they have supplied. I have also contacted several media outlets one in which has shown interest in the reseller electrical goods industry and warranty claims. I will contact members on this site who have had a bad experience and see if they are interested in being put in contact with the media outlet. If you have had any warranty issues regarding this supplier please contact me so I can pass your details on.
Scorptec Elite Games computer
Ordered 24th Jan recieved 31 jan in Tassie. On opening the 2 boxes I found every carton that each individual item came it, showing that they were genuine articles used in the build. Quality of build exceptional is the least I can say, plug in the power, do the normal setup of windows and away we go. Cannot be more pleased with the service and the product AND the price which was cheaper that a much less optioned unit from Hardly Normal !!!!
February 21st 2019 Update: Support
Due to uploading of a driver for my video card that seemed not to w...ork, the display ports failed. After contacting the tech. support team I was advised to try the download for the vbios that was available, but no luck. I then downloaded the latest driver as told by the team but no luck again. I sent the card back to Scorptec and the guys worked on it and tested it for a few days before returning it to me via courier. I really cannot say enough about the support from Arthur who tried his best to remedy the problem without sending the card back them. Congratulations to all the team at Scorptec you will be my "shop to go to" next time I upgrade.

Second faulty monitor in a row
Bought a AOC CQ32G1 monitor (Order 1049071) which was of unacceptable quality, clearly dimmer bottom half of the screen, random ghosting issues and visible horizontal pixel lines such as old aperture grill screen would have. I brought it in Auburn, Sydney store where I was told that such poor quality is normal for larger monitors and that I cannot get a refund. I was forced to pay a re-stocking as the monitor was of unacceptable quality and ordered a new monitor Acer XZ321QU (Order 1053030), upon arrival it had clear signs of the package being ...previously open, the box was roughed up, the cable bags had been ripped open and surely enough it has a white blob in the middle of screen. I contacted their representative who told me I need to bring it in the store for them to have a look because you can't notice the issue well enough in the photos. It takes me over half a day to get to the store as I don't have a car. At this stage I feel seriously cheated as I have lost over 100$ in re-stocking and shipping fees, a lot of time and it has caused a great deal of headaches. UPDATE: Got a call from Scorptec and they sent me a prepaid postal service for the new faulty monitor.
