Hi there, can the adjustable bed base be disassembled for ease of transport and assembly in a room. I’d imagine it won’t fit otherwise. Thanks.

Definitely yes. We dismantled ours and put it in the back of a 2008 ford escape.

Thank you Joseph...... Do you have any trouble getting in or out of the bed.... As I mentioned before, I am not very tall, only about 5'4" and I was told that some of the adjustable beds are tooooo HIGH...... What are your thoughts? Thank you

Joseph P
Joseph P

Pam F., no, nor my wife or I have any issue with getting in or out of our bed. You can get shorter legs for the base if you wish, I would strongly recommend that you go to a retailer like say a Harvey Norman or similar and try there display beds out for comfort and height. I my opinion you will be hard pressed to go past the Sealy product. Get yourself into one of these amazing beds and hopefully like us it will become a life changing experience, good luck with choosing yours. Joseph P.

Hi again :) Sorry to bother you again, but could you possibly tell me the LEG HEIGHT please. I am trying to work out what the possible "Overall Height" might be from Floor to TOP OF MATTRESS. I am looking at several Mattress options. I'm not very tall so the bed height will play a very important part in my purchase. Thank you - Pam

Joseph P
Joseph P

Hi Pam F. Our leg height is 40 cm, the mattress we have is 30 cm. So the overall height of our bed from the floor to the top of the mattress is 70 cm. As for my previous reply, this is the height(s) of our base and mattress, I guess it will depend on the leg height you choose and the type of mattress you select which will give you your preferred overall height. Hope this helps. Joseph p.

Hi. I'd like to know if the issues with buying 2 king singles have been resolved by sealy? Issues being, the lights when putting 2 singles to make a king will be in the centre of the bed on one rather than the outside . Thanks

Thank you. I'm also needing to find out if the bases have zero clearance to go on another base. Thanks for your help

Sealy
Sealy   DM

Hi Frances, unfortunately not. Due to the base needing at least 4 Inches of clearance for the motor. Please reach out if you have any other questions.

Frances
Frances

I need to make my decision today so apologies for all the questions . So this would allow the sealy the option for the upright position to be higher than others with zero clearance ?

Sealy
Sealy   DM

Hi Frances, No, it wouldn't. The 4" of clearance is just due to the motor underneath. It wouldn't affect how high it can sit you up.

Where can I view one of your adjustable beds? I live in Springwood NSW.

Hi, I went to the Harvey Norman complex just off the M4 Molgoa Rd exit. They had fantastic staff and a full range of manufacturers beds including sealy on the floor. When I had made up my mind on our sealy posturematic energise adjustable bed base and mattress from testing beds at the Harvey Norman complex I decided to go onto the internet to check further reviews and if I was getting the best deal from this retailer. I purchased my bed from a retailer who sells sealy products, it was all done on line and the experience and best price for the product I could not find anywhere else, fantastic retailer to have dealt with. The retailer is BEDS AUSTRALIA Pty Ltd, located on Old South Head Road Rose Bay NSW, I recommend this retailer both on service and price. I would like to add, contact Sealy via the net if you have any technical questions or any questions at all, they were fantastic and there was nothing which was to difficult for them to help me with, including sending there own people to set the bed up for me if I wanted that. In saying that the bed is a very simple process to set up yourself, but sealy were a great help. Hope this helps with your inquiry.

Hi, looking at purchasing two long singles to make a king size. I read a review from Tony M in Sydney regarding the design issue when you bring these two single beds together to make one. Seally replied and mentioned that they were going to test the issues raised. I would like to know if the problem Tony encountered has been redesigned when using the long single to form one or do they remain as previous design?

Sealy
Sealy   DM

Hi Joseph, thank you for your question. I will reach out via private message so I can help you further.

Tony M.
Tony M.

Hi Joseph, yes the issue is resolved, but unfortunately you have to get in touch with Sealy and ask them to move the motor to to opposite side of on base as we did.NOTE there is no redesign, as they have to come out and manually fix their problem which is now your problem.Another person reached out some time ago and i sent them my email and they were able to get Sealy to come outand rectify. It takes merely 10-15 mins. This issue is something that i bought to the attention to Sealy of this stupid design flaw, but it seems to be coming more common and maybe one day they may instruct bed places that sell their products to have it as an option for couples that want twin king singles.

Joseph P
Joseph P

Hi Tony, thank you for that information. You are right it's becomming an increasing problem as anyone who wants one off these beds, is a couple but want the flexibility of setting there own prefered settings without disturbing there partner I beleive can only acheive that by purchasing single units and then put them together. I have not yet put my order in with the retailer but I will ask them if I can have the adjustment made before it leaves seally's factory. Thank you very much for responding and for going to the time initially in pointing out this issue.

Thanks Tony, clearly I didn't look hard enough! You said yours is split, do you have a single king mattress or x2 long singles on your split base? Not sure I'm keen to have a mattress join in the centre of the bed.

Can you raise or lower the sealy essentials bed base. We have just received our bed with a sealy mattress and it is a little bit high for my wife to get in and out of

Tony M.
Tony M.

Hi Wazza, unfortunately no you can not. The only thing we found we could do without was the bed brackets to attach to the bedhead. We didnt use them after purchasing as the bedhead stood upright againdt the skirting with the hude weight of the bed and base.

Sealy
Sealy   DM

Hi Wazza, thank you for your message. You could purchase legs and castors that are at a different height, it may help you to lower your base. Please feel free to contact our customer care team, they will provide some options for you. You can find our customer care team contact details here:https://www.sealy.com.au/customer-support/contact
