I was being charged increasing amounts each year by my old insurer - 20% + increases year after year on a vehicle declining in value. This insurance appears to be excellent value by comparison with the latest quote. It does consider the very limited mileage we actually drive each year.

I rang to get a quote for car insurance and I saved 300 dollars the guy was the most lovely person I could ever get to speak to and so helpful perfect for his kind of work perfect and VERY patient with people over the phone what a great experience very hard to come by these days .

Cost is important to me. While Australian Seniors were not the lowest cost option, they were very, very close.
In my case I had deregistered one car and wanted to insure another. This entailed getting a refund on one Australian Seniors policy and taking out a new policy. Staff at Australian Seniors did this in a very professional manner.
I have insured with Australian Seniors for some time but never made a claimed.
In the future I will renew with Australian Seniors unless I can find a very significantly cheaper option.

Hidden surcharge In quote depending on your Existing cover

My quote varied according to which company I stated as my existing company. No reason given except it was part of their non-disclosure costing. Yet I was advised to be honest! Price varied by $25 on a v low cost policy. How much would it have been if a comprehensive?

Inflation is Incredible

On Saturday 16 May I was quoted $149.88 for a policy and then on Monday 18 May I was told $169.19 for exactly the same policy!
Can’t believe that it can go up nearly $20 in 2 days!

I don't like the automatic renewal

Just signed up for Third Party Property Damage Insurance. Value is good, but I was seriously hesitant at the payment stage, because this policy auto-renews. That's a major unpleasant intrusion, especially as the owner of an older car which likely won't require cover for an extensive period. I don't want the inconvenience of cancelling a policy. I just want coverage year by year. An annual offer of renewal is welcome, but should not be automatic.
