Happy – The outcome was a lot better than other offers. Having had full comprehensive policies ever since we bought the vehicle 14 yrs ago we thought we would be better off with third party insurance now. I found the website easy to navigate. Charging for the risks of others not applicable to the policy holder – No it is not good value. The cost of this TPPDO policy with standard excess was much higher than my previous year's Comprehensive cover for the same vehicle with a higher agreed value than what your company allowed and similar excess. never had an accident claim that was my fault and the one I had earlier this year was totally the fault of the other driver. To get the TPPDO cost down below my previous comprehensive policy I had to double the excess. Insurers have had increased claims and costs due to flood damage write-offs but this does not apply to TPPDO policies. I was forced to go to TPPDO because Seniors did not offer comprehensive cover for my vehicle at its true value which is much higher than the upper limit offered (200-300% higher). Surely Seniors Insurance is aware that second hand car values have increased substantially due to long waiting times for new cars. This even applies to old cars with low mileage.

their convoluted and confusing messages to get through to at least someone.

I had to cancel my future policy with them which they agreed to and sent confirmation of. However they would not confirm that I would not be debited automatically. I am now waiting to see if my account is automatically debited. They were not upfront about their compulsory automatic renewal policy so I have wasted a lot of my time. What a nightmare! Be aware!

Hidden surcharge In quote depending on your Existing cover – My quote varied according to which company I stated as my existing company. No reason given except it was part of their non-disclosure costing. Yet I was advised to be honest! Price varied by $25 on a v low cost policy.
