The expertise and service was top class but extremely expensive. I don't mind paying for excellent service / product but the cost is way over the top: $11k for a new Rheem hot water system and installation.

retails for roughly $250–$300 at standard supply stores. When I emailed management to request a simple, itemized breakdown of the labor vs. materials (which consumers are entitled to ask for), they refused, stating they only offer 'fixed pricing' and wouldn't break down the individual tasks.

In my opinion, charging an upfront fee only to provide what feels like a vastly inflated, un-itemized quote is a very poor business practice. I ended up purchasing the pump myself and getting it installed for a fraction of the price. My advice: always look up the cost of the parts they are quoting you for, and don't feel pressured to proceed just because you've already paid the call-out fee.

Dreadful rip off. First I was told about the company's $89 call out and when they switched me to another staff member she said the call out was $149. When I pulled her up on that she checked and said she could 'honour' the original figure. hours he quoted me just under $2000! I was horrified and pointed out he was charging at least $600 per hour for a job requiring no materials, it wasn't an emergency and it was within normal business hours. He looked very sheepish and said he'd call the office to see if he could get me a discount. He then said he could do it for $1249 including call out fee which, although still outrageous, I accepted because he was on site and I wanted the job done promptly. Oh and don't believe their offer of 'mediation'. They use this as a way to stall your review publication but they don't follow up. Never again will I deal with this company who will quote whatever they think they can get away. Steer clear.

I would be cautious about this company and not commit to anything. Get a second quote. They gave us quotes for cleaning and/ or replacing our air con but with no breakdown in costs. mould in our air con and that it needed a thorough clean and service. Second quote we got serviced and cleaned our air con’s for a fraction of the price they quoted. In their favour they were courteous and upfront about the service fee of $89. I think they are probably fine with routine stuff. ADDITION: Brian from Service today contacted me regarding the review. He was very courteous and understanding of my concerns and the quote. So I would say they are open to querying quotes and are very determined to provide good customer service.

Big cost issues not fixed – Our air conditioning not working. We have been charged for $360 for a 15-mins job. Then they told us that it can not be fixed! We then received an email for feedback. how happy can we be?

proposed me to install the AirTouch 5 system with 6 zones/sensors. First and foremost, their pricing is absolutely outrageous. They charged a jaw-dropping $3225.53 (scope: Replace existing 4 ducted zones with 6 zones). Job No. 589885

The other supplier quoted me $2300 i.e. $900 less, for the same job.

The job was just started and I called the sales guy, he said he can’t do anything and has to pay as agreed. I trusted these guys that they will give me fair pricing and they breached my trust. In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering Service Today for their services needs to look elsewhere. The combination of astronomical pricing and poor communication make this company an unfortunate choice for anyone seeking reliable and fair assistance. Save yourself the hassle and find a more reputable and customer-focused service.

Excessive pricing – Arrived a day late. Got quoted 2.7k for a split system aircon install (back to back installation with iso switch and I supply the unit!!!). Also they didn't mention a $149 callout fee. Even after grudgingly paying their fee, and getting another provider to do the installation I'm more than 1k ahead. So the moral of the story here - save yourself some money.

Today was a first as far as technicians and tradespeople go. Blake and trainee Daniel were as perfect as possible – They uninstalled my antique Air Conditioner and installed a wonderful new CTRON AIR 5KW SPLIT SYSTEM with a minimum of fuss and left no trace of their ever being here. Professional and efficient – Just on Christmas our ducted air conditioning system failed. We had the quote done same day and the work started within two days. We also decided to replace a separate old split system as it was the same vintage and having problems. The work was done efficiently, professionally and by a team that respected our home.
