months later, my 9000s is still delivering a great shave. I use it daily in the shower and clean it after each shave with the quick clean pod cartridge, except when I’m traveling. I also apply 5–6 drops of the Shaver Shop’s Face Guard 3-in-1 Shaver Oil. It’s a bit pricey, but it leaves my face feeling fresh after each shave.

I have owned my Phillips s9000 for almost 12 months now. It is still performing well and no sign of wear or tear. I also still have the same little bottle of Face Guard 3-in-1 shaver oil I purchased at the same time. I rub six drops onto my wet face before shaving and it leave my face feeling smooth and fresh. I initially thought it was a little expensive (for such a small bottle), but its proved to be great value. I wish I had purchased this shaver years ago. I’ve had the shaver 16 months now, it is still performing well. The battery maintains a good charge. I will look at purchasing new heads at the 18 month marks. Kind regards.

fortnight ago, but then died. The online store advised that I return the unit to my nearest store (Woden in Canberra). They were fantastic, the guy listened to my tale of woe and immediately offered me an as new exchange or refund (before he had even seen my proof of purchase). I walked out with a new clipper, totally hassle free experience. Fab stuff Shaver Shop!

Well, WOW, I have NEVER seen such poor customer service in my life.

I was told that, "so you are one of those kind of customers" who returns products...

I was then told, "if you had of read the instructions", well I did, and have again since returning home today, but irrespective, a simple explanation or clarification to fix the product is all that is needed... not ignorance, and trying to belittle your customers. The 2 women working in the store then repeated the whole, "so you are one of those kind of customers".

The shorter one with dark hair, then said to the coworker, "we should have charged him $100 to fix it" and went on about my [Content Removed] for not being able to do it myself.

My reply was, well it cost less than $100 so how [Content Removed] would that be, only to have more ignorant comments from both of them

I understand working in a medial, dead end, minimal wage job is demoralising at best, but it's not had to show a small amount of respect to your customers, and to think that talking down to people makes you feel better, or boosts your ego etc, is well, you have issues ladies.

If I could give this store a ZERO (0) rating, I would.

To the owner of this Cairns store, the best thing you can do is sack both of them, the shorter lady, with short dark hair, assuming also a [Content Removed], and an older lady with grey hair, neither are assets to your business.

to Dmitriya (I hope I spelt her name right) at the store and she explained to me the pros and cons of each of the products based on my shaving needs and habits. I went back to the store after a couple of days to discuss my options. She was away briefly at lunch and I spoke to Oome who was also very helpful. Dmitriya returned soon and gave me a crash course on the products that I could choose from based on my budget - their pros and cons, return policy, cost of replacement blades, usage, etc. Her product knowledge and willingness to help a customer make an informed choice and her patience were exemplary. I eventually traded my Transform U for a Braun although there was no attempt by Dmitriya to push me towards a more expensive product.

I rarely provide such raving reviews but this was certainly a deserving case.

connected it to power and it cut out. Great safety feature.   Anyway, I took it back to the Shaver Shop that I bought it, and asked what could be done. The staff member was absolutely fabulous and his service was incredible. He listened carefully, appreciated the situation I was in and was very helpful. He looked me up on the electronic system, found a confirmation of purchase and given the nature of the situation, he quickly arranged for a replacement item.   I want to think him and pass on my compliments to the way he and Shaver Shop at Westfield Mall dealt with the situation. He was thoroughly professional, but also genuinely kind and responsive. This is not the sort of service you get from all retail outlets I will definitely be letting my friends and family know about the great service, because this is a key reason why people return, because of great service and good people.

The Braun Series 7 shaver is also great. Thank you.

Be warned this store doesn’t give you refunds they give you store credit. Now if the retailer is good and cares about your business they will give you a refund but they don’t have to they can make you spend things inside there shop. That’s legal.

I’m a lawyer and there’s 2 things about this yes they can give you store credit on the basis of what you were told was the right information that was made of the time of purchase therefore locking you into a unilateral contract between you and the store based on the information that was given to you at the time of purchase

However if that salesperson was wrong and gave you the wrong information about the product when sold that makes the contract null and void

We use this case of Carlill v Carbolic Smoke Ball Company [1893] 1 QB 256 where the Carbolic company gave out the wrong information and lost their case and it was found under unilateral contract law that the contract was broken and that Carlill was awarded damages in her case against the company in which is what happened to me on this occasion

I’m not pressing charges but just remember when you buy something from a store or a shop or cafe etc you are the one that has entered into a contract with them not the other way around. This is based on offerer and offeree.

In contract law, the offeror is the party who makes an offer, while the offeree is the party to whom the offer is made. The offeror initiates the contractual process by proposing the terms of an agreement. The offeree then has the power to accept or reject

The person I spoke to in black had almost close to no knowledge of the products that she was selling and I had to get corrected by the manager the next day who insulted me by saying do you even know how to use a razor. To the manager you didn’t make the sale and if you were there that day I bought it, I would not had purchased it, you have no legal bounds to say to anyone to only have store credit since you weren’t the one that sold it to me.

Be warned again you’ll not get a refund from this company they care more about money more than repeat business, you, which isn’t a great practice to have for your company, you’ll go bankrupt and reputation is everything to a business
