I'll contact ACCC if I'm not happy with a quick resolution involving full refund or exchange without me paying extra, I'll take the matter far as I have a legal background so they better fix this asap. It looks like they sent me a watch that was floor stock that was maybe used by customers to try on otherwise how the hell is it all scratched? This cost me all my savings and now it's arrived damaged. So I'll update this post once I see what the customer service say. Now I'm going to work with no watch. By the way there's no email, so when fair trading say to put complaint in writing, you use shiels contact form and there's no paper trail and no receipt so you have no evidence of sending anything and no idea if they even received the complaint so the smart thing is - to do the form, screenshot before sending them and send the same message on the FB messenger....then log a complaint with fair trading after they don't respond. Outsmart their dodgy practices.to me this business should be shut down in my view.

Terrible experience with Shiels Jewelry. proper resolution or honour their guarantee.

Their customer service was dismissive, unhelpful, and made the whole process extremely stressful. I had to chase them constantly just to get basic answers, and they showed zero care for their customers after taking the money.

I would never buy from Shiels again. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid this store.

I bought a noisy stud and when it arrived it was really tiny. So much smaller than on the site. When I tried to return it, even though it had not been worn,I x told it was non returnable. Not happy at all. Would have bought a larger one but not know I will never purchase from them again. There would be more germs on it with them packing it than what I put on just opening the box and seeing the size and not removing it from the box.

Furthermore, Shiels, your gold ring is not stamped 9K or (375). Can you also explain why this is so?, Are you also claiming that it is 'uncertified 9 carat gold?? This is quite misleading for the consumer.

limited stock available but refused to give me one of these. Refused to repair, said it was not repairable however I received a quote from another jewellery store for $70. I would not recommend or purchase from this store because if your jewellery is faulty or breaks good luck getting it fixed or a replacement . My bracelet was returned and I’ll arrange repair elsewhere.

 Follow-up  · Bracelet was repaired with new chain by local jeweller. I was quoted $40 for repair or $100 to replace the complete chain with stronger chain. Prouds also provided quote for $70 to repair. Not sure why SHIELS couldn’t repair, they must have very inexperienced Jewellers or simply don’t like helping their customers!

quality inspection and exchanged for another item of my choice. However, instead of honoring the exchange, Shiels processed a refund—without my consent—directly to my boss, who had originally purchased the watch. This caused unnecessary confusion and embarrassment, as it appeared that I was seeking a refund for a gift, which was never my intention.

To their credit, the staff at the Liverpool store were sympathetic and genuinely tried to help resolve the issue. They acknowledged that there was a miscommunication between their store and head office and did everything they could to find a positive solution. Unfortunately, their efforts were completely undermined by Shiels’ head office, which refused to take responsibility for the mistake.

When I reached out to Shiels for a resolution, I was met with dismissive, copy-paste responses stating that online purchases could not be exchanged by the recipient. If that was the case, why did their in-store team tell me otherwise and take the watch for exchange in the first place? At the very least, they could have returned the watch to me rather than processing an unauthorized refund.

Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issue, Shiels’ head office refused to take any responsibility, offered no compensation, and left me without a watch or an exchange. This is completely unacceptable customer service. If you’re considering making a purchase here, be warned—if anything goes wrong, Shiels will leave you out in the cold.

up. Anyway, as time was getting closer, I messaged service@shiels.com.au and explained the situation and to see if I could change the order to express post or collect from a Shiels in my city, offering to pay any extra postage/handling costs.

I did this twice, since, apart from the automated "Your enquiry has been received", I didn't get a reply. However, after the second message, my order status changed to dispatched. So maybe customer service intervened, or maybe the order just moved up the pick list by itself. Either way, the items arrived today, well packed and in good order, in time for the birthday tomorrow. All up, a good outcome for the transaction.

imprint was so detailed! We were lucky to not only shop during the sales but also during the AfterPay sales. However, one item we wanted was only available in-store without that extra discount, so I rang Head Office and spoke to the delightful Wayne. He was a gem! Wayne organised for this extra item to be added to our order for the online price, was patient as we spoke with my nap-refusing baby in the background (telling me his own funny baby story!), and gave me a quick rundown of the Shiels retail history. It was such a lovely chat and he was so helpful. We are so happy and grateful that we got to buy my daughter jewellery of high quality for a competitive price, and got to support an Australian business too. I worked in retail for 10 years in various roles, so I know excellent customer service when I experience it. I always make a point of talking to a person's manager to ensure they know about their staff going above and beyond for their customers - for Wayne, you can tell this is just how he treats every customer. I spoke to Wayne's supervisor Maddison, who said she hears this kind of feedback a lot from his customers, and I can see why! Praise needs to be shared, and that's why I've written this review. Purchased a diamond pendant and 9ct necklace. Necklace broke on first wear. Shield agrees to assess for damage if we return the chain. Pay for postage and do the return only to be met with more barriers from Shiels. They have offered to replace the product with an inferior product for the same cost or charge us for the same product?
