Double standards for Instore refund policy to buying online!
I bought a watch for my husband 2 weeks ago for Christmas Instore, before I have the chance to give it to him he tells me he doesnt want it so I ask the store for a refund with my receipt and unopened watch and they said because I bought instore no refund but if I have bought it online I could get a refund because I hadnt seen the product in real life! The watch is a gift the person that is receiving it wont see it before it is purchased so regardless whether it was purchased in store or online the refund policy should be the same! Never shopping there again. You are encouraging people to shop online instead of going instore!

Excellent Customer Service - Carillon Store
Excellent customer service by Jessica at the Carillon store.
I came in looking for a specific product and she promptly took me to the product location.
I was expecting to pay full price but at the register I was advised it was in fact on sale which was a lovely surprise. Jessica then offered the show me the accompanying jewellery to make it a set which was also on sale. I ended up walking away very happy with more than I planned for less than I originally intended to spend. Jessica was extremely polite and knowledgeable. She didn't rush me or force products on me that I wasn't interested in. A very pleasant experience overall. Thanks Jessica!
Engagemtnt ring issues
Took my engagement ring in to get resized. Was told it couldnt be resized to the size i needed after telling my partner it could and it was the last ring made so they couldnt order me a new one. I was told i couldn't have a refund but no refund policy was displayed in the store! I asked for the number to head office to be told "they will tell you the same thing" then i had the ring sent off to have more white gold soldered into it to fit me. Got the ring back and it was still too big as the lady didnt explain to me that the oval shape will leav...e a gap even if its my size. Had to get it sent off for a second time being told it would cost me $200 even though it didnt cost anything the first time. I got told it would be ready by the 8th of october, its now the 10th and i keep getting told "we will call you back" with no phone call. I am furious at the customer service that has been provided. Absolutely disgusting i am so dissappointed i just want my ring.
Disgusting service from manager and staff.
Price was okay, range, could have been better. Why have one of an item? As you miss out on sales, as you did with me. Service was absolutely disgusting. You literally rushed me out the door, and , I was horrified when the bracelet was ripped of my hand and sold in front of me, when I was already arranging a purchase of the bracelet. I will be urging family and friends to avoid the Joondalup store where it happened. Most unprofessional behaviour I have seen in a long time.
Went above and beyond to appease us
We had a wonderful experience choosing our engagement rings from Morley store in May. Collette was fantastic with her upfront and personable approach, she was very genuine in meeting our preferences and budget. We were excited to return to the store again in July to pick out our wedding rings using VIP vouchers. Unfortunately we got a junior salesperson who processed the transaction (swiped our card) PRIOR to telling us there could be an issue resizing our ring so it would need to be sent for a quote to determine if resizing or shanking was bes...t, which could take up to 2 weeks and be an additional $200. If we had of known the ring could have issues being resized then we would’ve chosen another ring before paying for it. The next morning we returned to the store to try to stop the process and swap it for a thicker ring, but were told even though the ring hadn’t physically been sent off yet it had already been entered in the system so it would just be a waiting game for the quote. We returned later the same night to be told again by another salesperson that we couldn’t intervene the process or get a refund/swap or have the store manager authorise this due to the value of the ring, it just had to go through the quote process. 2 weeks later we got the call saying our resized ring was ready for collection... even though we were waiting for a quote before proceeding! In short we dealt directly with the store manager Trish to find a solution as we didn’t want to proceed with the resized ring when we had tried to stop the process twice and were awaiting a quote not a resized ring. Trish was fantastic in offering a resolution. She went above and beyond to keep us happy, sorting the facts and explaining how/why the situation occurred, keeping us informed, along with offering another ring to be custom made with a quick turn around, at the same price as the initial ring minus the care plan. She expedited delivery 1.5 weeks earlier than initially advised. We are in love with our rings and are extremely happy with the 5 star service received from Trish and Collette. They were both very helpful and accommodating in price matching an expensive watch as well. Lesson learnt if you find a good salesperson stick with them, and if you aren’t satisfied with a process make sure to escalate and speak to the store manager directly. During the initial debacle we were sceptical after reading the reviews here, but after receiving such an outstanding resolution and personalised service we will definitely go back to Morley Shiels for any anniversaries or special occasions
I came into the store to browse for gold earrings and was not greeted by any of the employees. Instead I hear and see an older employee angrily shouting at two younger employees that she’s the manager and she was the real person in charge, not another colleague (didn’t quite catch their names). This carried on for another five minutes or so. One of the young employees eventually noticed that I was in store, greeting me and apologizing for the scene. The other two stepped inside the back office and the girl serving me was doing her best to remai...n calm and helpful as I asked to see some of the earrings. If the young girl had been distraught or upset, she did not show it and continued to profusely apologize for earlier incident. I don’t usually do reviews– nevertheless negative– but as manager myself, this display was extremely unprofessional and should not be carried out in public for costumers to hear or see. Regardless of whether the store seemed empty at the time or not, any problems with employees should be communicated off the floor.
Not what you pay for
Brought a diamond pendant and chain for my wife and have since been told is not a diamond and should get a certificate of authenticity if it has real diamonds but didn't get that don't recommend buying here

Excellent treatment by all staff especially Grace Alvaro. She has a vast knowledge of diamonds with her years of experience. I felt really great purchasing pink diamonds from her. I think shes amazing and more jewelry stores need staff like Grace who really knows and understands the customer. The store manager was awesome too..thanks to both Deepali and Grace. I went into the carousel store today to purchase a wedding band each for me and my partner and was absolutely blown away with the service. Grace the diamond specialist went above and beyond to help me. Taking her time with me and answering all my questions, I was in the store for over an hour and didn't feel rushed to make a decision at all. She explained everything thoroughly and wasn't at all pushy like some other stores I've been to. In response to the other comment below regarding wait times. If it weren't for the diamond specialist taking her time with me and giving me her undivided attention, I wouldn't have found the perfect rings. Sometimes things are worth the wait.

Have dealt with Grace from Shiels in Cannington for many years . Have always received 5 Star service from her and the ladies and would always go back . They always go above and beyond.
too long of a wait
came into the carousel store to check out diamond rings, was told that the diamond specialist has some exclusive to her. waited for about 30 mins, asked another salesperson to show me the items but were told that they were not allowed to. waste of time if you ask me.

There is a reason they have 80% 1 star reviews. The whole storey is too long to go through all of it here but the highlights are:
-Staff bullying me into purchase.
-openly sneering at me when I chose the $700 earrings instead of the $1400.
- When my credit card pin wasn't working, telling me the $300 voucher I had was now void because they had already started the transaction.

My first visit at shield carousel on 5th july and i was served by grace and Dipali, their service and knowledge is excellent.they surely know how to make customers happy. I will always shop here.
Terrible customer service, WORST QUALITY, Unorganised staff and management.
My partner purchased a 9carat Gold Chain from Shiels at Loganholme Hyperdome. The first time he wore it the chain literally fell off by its self and broke (real gold doesn’t just break right?) After going back and forth with the TERRIBLE retail team based at this store that cannot give us one straight answer, we are still yet to receive an outcome. Originally they said the chain has to be sent away to HQ to be assessed for either manufacturing issues or consumer damage. After 2 weeks we then had to follow up with the store to find out what was ...happening. They stated that the chain was unrepairable and that they would not refund/replace. What type of SHONKY business are you running here Shiels, you have so many similar, bad reviews it clearly shows you have no respect for your customers nor your own reputation. Your staff training is horrendous and I’m disgusted that we have been accused of breaking the 9carat gold chain that is clearly faulty and FAKE.
Black diamond ring
I am very disappointed in Shiels. I bought a Stirling silver ring with black diamonds and the black has come off. When I took the ring back to be repaired I was told it was just a black coating they put on. So therefore false advertising. They are still selling the same ring as black diamonds. Seriously thinking about taking it further.

Very disappointing experience
On Sat 18 May 2019 my husband has purchased a gold chain at Shiels Morley. He was trying to find a closest match for a cross pendant which was purchased overseas. My husband made it very clear that he wants a solid gold chain that is suitable colour for his pendant. The sales person offered a yellow gold chain at a special price of $899 and advised that the chain would dull down and will look closer to the colour of the cross.

Don’t buy from shiels
My mother in law purchased a chain and enhancer for hundreds of dollars money she really couldn’t afford as a Christmas gift for me. She got it in the January sales for Christmas. All that glittered attracted her as she had dementia yes I’m talking as her in the past that’s because the dementia took her last year. My mother in law was a beautiful and generous lady that would have given her last cent to help someone. She laid one of her sons to rest on his 21st birthday and her husband four months to the day later leaving her with two other son...s to bring up alone while being the sole carer for her mom and dad and having to also lay them to rest and finding the money to do this by herself. Then her health went into decline heart problems etc ending up with the horrid disease dementia as I said earlier. I feel the manager took advantage of this she worked her magic getting my mother in law to purchase the chain and enhancer. I fought for months stood outside Shiels warning people to be careful. The chain was too small for me I called and asked if I could change it she said yes. but then said they could make it bigger and put in in a plastic bag with the receipts I got a call to pick it up she then said she wouldn’t do anything as it was damaged . I had tried it once and put it back in the box. If there was damage it was from before my mother in law got it. I’m warning all to be careful will continue to warn people that not everything from Shiels is good and the aftercare is crap. I took the chain and had it valued for scrap gold they gave me a price of 99.00 she paid $535-00 also she was talked into flexidebit and the recommended retail price re certificate was $1079 since warning people on Facebook about this they have blocked me
Gold rubbed off in 2 months
Purchased a copper filled bracelet from carindale store with in 2 months I noticed gold rubbing off in the links, returns and repairs said it was normal wear and tear, both staff members I spoke to about it said they wouldn’t be happy with the purchase if they had brought it, absolute waste of money
