Not sure of exact period, but I got mine end 2004 (I think it had been in production for a few years then, and continued for a few years more).

Are parts still available for the discontinued 2662?

Pam, I am sorry I don't know the answer to your question. I assume you might be able to find some parts. May I suggest: 1. Visiting external link  There is contact information listed for Singer Company.

2. Googling the model # or googling " looking for parts for a Singer 2662". Occasionally I've seen websites which carry parts for discontinued machines.

3. Visiting external link

The name of this site is sewingpartsonline.com

I hope one of these options will help you. Good luck.

Are you looking for parts to repair your machine, or accessories such as feet? Gears and bobbin cases are still available at Sewing Parts online (US), but for feet, needles etc. they aren't specific to this machine, and any good quality low shank feet will fit from all the major manufacturers including Brother, Janome And of course Singer. Needles are std 15x1's - Schmetz, Organ Klasse etc.are all suitable.

Does this sewing machine SINGER SEWING MACHINE-MODEL 2662 have an overlock function?

I believe it does. I have since sent the machine to my mom in a neighboring state. However, here is a portion of a description regarding features of the machine. I hope this helps. "The 62-stitch functions include everything from basic construction (straight stitching, stretch stitching, elastic application) to a little more advanced construction stitches (different overedge stitches, blind hem, button sewing) to several decorative stitches (crescent stitch, feather stitch, applique, monogramming)." I believe one of the overedge stitches is an ovelock function.
