I can't open the panel anymore for cleaning the filters on the inside. The one on the right hand side opens with the usual click, the one on the left hand side does not. Anybody any idea what to do ?

Hi. I have the same problem 3 times, in my instance the issue was the control panel, so the only way to resolve the issue is to switch it out for a new one.

I have had my Sirius S-DDH1.1 INDUCTION Downdraft for a year now. The settings for the extractor fan has just very recently reduced itself to 2 speeds instead of 4. What could be the issue?

It sounds like this is a fault and a technician will need to come and inspect unit, you can reach our warranties team on the below they just need a copy of your invoice / receipt and just a description of the issue.

Thank you for your reply, I guess I need to explain further... There are 4 extractor fan speed settings Level 1is low, and level 4 is high. I don't think I've ever used the extractor on level 4 for more than 10 seconds.

On my unit currently, setting the extractor speed to level 1 puts the fan speed to the equivalent of level 4. Setting it to level 2 works as expected Setting it to level 3 makes no difference, it extracts as though it is still set to level 2 Setting it to level 4 works as expected.

So I only have a level 2 and a level 4 speed.

Hi there,

After a long time of enjoying this machine the Sirius is now down and won’t come up anymore. All (or only 4? / difficult to see) lights are blinking and I tried to press the timer 6 times, hold it for more than 3 seconds and tried to turn off / on the power but it all did not have success.

Sometimes when I press ON it tries to come up and then after moving up for about 20cm it stops. Sometimes it goes down after I hear the motor making a ticking sound a few times and sometimes when I press another button is stays like this and all lights go out.

Any other things that I can try? Otherwise support from a technician would be awesome. I do live in the Netherlands 10km from Amsterdam.

I have a downdraft model DD2TC EM 880 Power went out and the system never came back on I disconnected power but still nothing I have tested and there is power to the red safety box bit no lights on the top ?

Our Sirius S-DDH1.1 INDUCTION DOWNDRAFT has developed a problem with the down draft timer. After a minute of use, the speed indicator lights out and the fan stops but the mechanism does not retract until the appropriate sensor is touched. The filters are clean. How do I know if the problem is with the cook top or the control box under the bench? In regional NSW, where do I find a serviceman?

How do you clean them

Hi Diane, After 30 hours of use, the speed indicators will flash simultaneously, signalling that the filters should be cleaned. Open the front panel and remove the filters. These can then be cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher, and then replaced when dry. Regards

I would like to hear anyone's feedback that has purchased a Sirius SDD2 L EMTC 880 recently (last 12 months) please. We are doing a new build and my husband is very keen on this type for our kitchen. Will go into a Island Bench plus we have 2.7 ceiling height and buying a standard induction cooktop, not the type retails suggest in panoramic style. Many thanks in advance.

If you are not in a capital city be careful. It is very difficult to get warranty support in a regional area. I have an electronic problem with my extractor which is beyond the expertise of the electrician who installed my unit.

I bough SDD2 L EMTC 880 with SEM 7 from Winning appliance. I told the sale person that I wanted to get ducting under the floor for external. She ordered easy roof which is wrong and I do not understand about what type of ducting is suitable for under the floor. My problem is I already opened the ducting box and I want to return it due to some part is useless. I need extra accessories due to I want to mount from the bottom but the adaptive part is not in the easy roofing . Also I want to put downdraft on the bracket but I am not sure that bracket high enough to bring the same level of cabinet. If not , can I use other bracket . Do you have any recommendation ? Also the easy roof came with solid ducting and the 3 meters semi solid ducting. I want to know this can be expanded to 7 meters or maximum expand is 3 meters. Do you have 7 metres semi solid ducting?

Hi Som, For installation with a SEM 7 motor we would recommend the EASY-WALL ducting kit, which contains more relevant components for this type of installation. There are also ducting extension kits available that give you an extra piece of duct and a connection. We have a problem with our Sirius downdraft of 2009. It does not go down when the "off" button is pressed, the suction stopps though. Is this a known / common problem? There is no mechanical problem, we have reversed the motor on the platine and then moving down has worked without a problem. Therefore we concluded that some problem must exist with the platine. Can I order a new platine?

There are no tradies who know how to install these range hoods and all tradies who have come to have a look are not happy that there is no proper installation manual, instead it’s just booklet showing different parts. Where can I get proper step by step installation manual?

Any further reports from anybody on these Sirus downdraft extractors? What are they really like for extracting cooking odours? The sales people all focus on how well it extracts steam from a boiling pot of water, not a frypan, so I would very much appreciate any report from people who have actually used this in her home. Thanks in advance...

Hi David thanks for your question, all of our rangehoods extract very well and this can be seen by the extractor rate which can be found on the external motors, they do vary depending on the one you choose.
