life. I wouldn't be able to contact friends all over the world. That aspect of staying connected while still being able to enjoy the benefits of an off-grid lifestyle is very important to me and Skymesh delivers. I can't thank the team enough.
Like a good long term spouse – Having been hooked up with Skymesh at my current location since January 2008, with only a brief, 9 month, separation due to business commitments out of the country, the only time I had any concerns was when a tropical cyclone was thrown our way. Complete fraud and thief's of a company. Took out 2 payments of $284.80, at first completely denied the second transaction. Until I showed my bank statement. Now they are saying that it can take 10 days to return the money, I didn't give them permission or didn't have a direct debit setup for them to double up on payment. shame because I have been with Skymesh for about 18 years. Previously the the support was great but lately it is poor. It seems like the support has been outsourced.
Follow-up · The performance is OK ... when it works. Almost daily, I have to reset the modem. Still the same old issue ... "trying to handshake" then times out. I'm not sure that it is the modem because this is the reason that I wasted my money thinking that a new modem would fix the problem. day with some blue sky and light fluffy clouds". She laughed and said that's about it, in an Irish accent. They mostly used backpackers in Queensland on the phone in those days. Now it has moved off shore to the good old Philippines and the service is as as you would expect. Dreadful.
My latest issue has been that after endless drop outs and inability to connect I moved to Activ8Me (who have been great and supplied what I signed up for). I then obviously tried to cancel my Skymesh account. That has not taken and as they required auto credit card payments that they take a month in advance, the debits have kept going. They also told me when I was cancelling that they require a full month in advance to cancel. So, that cost me the rest of the month and another. They then confirmed a final payment date and final payment of $12 by email. I then received a notification by email of the next months full payment. I called and could only talk to Arnold (you guessed it), Philippines. He seemed to me to have no idea of what he was doing and offered a refund which did not happen. His maths seemed to be rather lacking also, as the amounts were always higher than they should have been. Instead another payment was taken. Spoke to him again today at which he claimed the refund was late and this is why the NEW payment was deducted. Can't even comprehend that. I have twice asked for a supervisor to contact me as he ([Name Removed]) is never in when I call. No luck there. My only action I can see is to cancel my credit card and take up the previous debits with an Ombudsman, or even try small claims court. Have had success with the court in the past as they then have to appear out of state and or send a costly lawyer - I have it all in writing - so that may work.
My message is - GO ANYWHERE ELSE but Skymesh - they all use the same satellites and NBN connections and just resell. ALSO - read other Skymesh review accounts.
Update - [Name Removed] did contact me and seemed to speak in a manner as to let me know he had less than zero interest in the situation. Assurance was given that a new refund would be processed immediately and he managed to disinterestedly say goodby (all on recording I might ad). I have since received another credit card bill as I left it un-cancelled just to receive the refund. As expected - NO refund. Time to cut my losses and cancel the card - the only sure way to stop deductions as I have been told before that it is only the payee that can cancel an auto deduction - watch out for that one!!!
Last update - a refund of forty something dollars finally showed up. I don’t believe it is enough, however card cancelled and Skymesh is now gone from my life.

We all know NBN satellite is not as fast as starlink, the only issues I have is sometimes the NBN satellite is slow to connect, otherwise I am happy with Skymesh as a service provider. Of-course we all want more for less, but that may not actually be a good thing. Show details · 1

Subscribed to skymesh with a satellite and it didn't work so I cancelled and got Starlink and starling is great! Skymesh still charged me and have not refunded my money yet, they said they weren't going to charge me when I cancelled 2 days after connecting the service because of the cooling off period but they still did. charge then the customer has to chase up to get a refund! I feel like I have been scammed! I will be getting the bank involved. Do yourself a favour and go straight for starlink if you live in a remote area, Skymesh is a rubbish service and shocking customer service.
As we are moving we wish to cancel our account. This is easier said than done. You cannot cancel via email but have to ring them. OK - they do not have a ring back service and we held on for over an hour listening to the worst music I have heard for ages. Would definitely not go with them again now that I have a choice.

I had a call from Nash, who was very helpful, patient and assisted me to be able to log into my account. I was so frustrated prior, I gave up on logging on for good. Terrible customer service that doesn't have a brain cell between them poor form skymesh! It is not so much the Sat service from NBN it is the to disregard for customers. Support is at best arrogant and worst Non existent. For some reason my email account could not be accessed "invalid password" 5 days later I still can't access my email. Over 1 1/2 hours on phone to progress 6 places on list is not acceptable. Internet service fine, billing not so much! – I live in the middle of nowhere and to be fair have had pretty good internet service since skymesh took over my account from Aussie broadband. My issues have been 100% billing focused. Initially I was billed twice in one month so I contacted them to sort it out. I spoke to a man who sent emails and promised to sort the issue.... nothing happened… Read more
so I emailed him back a few times... no answer. I sent a message to their online contact and finally got a call from a very helpful guy who told me the man I was dealing with had left the company that's why I wasn't getting replies. This new man organised a refund and all was well until they charged me double the next month. So I got my refund then they took it back. I rang them. I got a less than helpful man who told me that I was charged double because I had wrongfully received a refund. I tried to explain why I got the refund but he would not listen. Oh and by the way I had been on hold for 2 hours waiting to speak to someone. I asked to speak to someone higher and he said he would put in a request to speak to a supervisor and it would take 3 to 5 days. I was a bit annoyed by now but agreed. Never got a call. By now I was super over the whole thing so I messaged them online on their webpage saying next step was the communications ombudsman. Heard nothing and decided it wasn't worth the hassle and I would wear the $99.95 that they had stolen, as long as they didn't double charge me again. Then ages later I received a call out of the blue from the man who had originally organised my refund. He was as helpful as ever and apologised for the previous encounter. He arranged another refund and also gave me a month free internet as a sorry for the inconvenience measure. I got the refund and the free month..... then the first bill I got after that .... they charged me double! I emailed again.... no reply. Honestly I am over the whole situation and while they reneged on the free month, I am at least not out pocket anymore. My advice is DON'T rely on them direct debiting honestly, always check what they have charged and if you ring them expect at least an hour or 2 on hold listening to hold music/talk that is very irritating and will make you tense. Once they have agreed to their mistake and fixed it, make sure you check your account the next month because there is a very high possibility that they will double charge you and you will be back at square one. In conclusion.... the internet quality is fine, it's not great but it's enough for what I need particularly being satellite... it is much better than when I first had satellite, so that's a positive. The billing side of things on the other hand has been a frustrating and somewhat negative experience.
Substandard Service – Service provided is substandard with latency speeds of 600. When provider quizzed on this their reply was there is nothing they can do about it.

this is a man who's favourite meal is meat & three veg & can't text or take a photo on his phone. Not tech savy, like most people of his age..I finally receive a call from them & they then insist I call back so they can speak to my father & wait for another 1hr or 2. Okay for streaming and basic Web browsing, wouldn't use this service for anything else – Good download and upload speeds for satellite, they have pretty good customer service. Now for the bad. The latency is unusable for anything that requires quick load or response times. At best you'll get 600 milliseconds of ping. Summary: I wouldn't recommend for anyone that wants to do more then use streaming services and basic wed browser.
Not for gaming, watching any form or short videos and anything else that would become frustrating waiting for a response.

Spoke to them again 2 or 3 weeks later only to be told that the earliest install was the 7th of May, we asked to be prioritised and moved up due to time waiting, and received a text from Hills to say they could be here on Sunday the 28th April. So, as we really needed this service, we cancelled our weekend away ONLY to receive a call Sunday morning by the installer to say Hills had provided him with another 3 priority installs (ours was not one) so he cancelled!!! After this we contacted the ombudsman to convey our frustration. Today, after the ombudsman contacted Skymesh, we received a message from Skymesh again, only to be informed that our install has been cancelled, only this time due to us apparently having no general power!!!! We do have power, and it seems they have just made another excuse, or have wanted to punish us for contacting the ombudsman. This has now impacted our business and they show no concern whatsoever.
