I have purchased SCTI insurance several times and it has always been competitively priced and easy to buy online. I have had on one occasion needed to ask questions before purchasing. Easy Set Up Insurance – Actually, it is very hard to review an insurance company when there was no opportunity to test its ability to respond to a claim - we had no claims to make. Kimberley Cruise – We have used SCTI a few times now and found their insurance package extensive and easy to see exactly what we were insured for. Fortunately we haven't had a reason to claim, but they do provide handy info in doing so. claims officer with the new information they recalculated my claim on the same day. I am disappointed the policy didn't cover simultaneous lost expense and additional expense (I had to cancel pre-paid accommodation and book new accommodation for the same dates, and I was not paid out for the new accommodation) but this is clearly explained in their policy wording, which is transparent and easy to understand.
Claim keeps dragging on – Made a claim for domestic travel insurance as I had a bag stolen from me on my trip. Provided everything they asked for, police report and receipts. The claim assessor took a long time responding and now it’s even dragging on even longer. Do not get insurance through SCTI, they just keep you waiting and it seems they are trying to avoid approving claims at any cost.
