Very bad Supplier. Dont use them or you`ll get in to a big trouble – I have been forced to subscribe for 24 month contract with them for internet and the phone lines for my business. First of all they sent me a faulty Modem and it took a month`s time to have internet up and running. Then they told me they`ll do the phone upgrade. Initially all 5 lines of my business have been diverted to one mobile phone, which affected my over the phone orders or sales by 1/4 and then after two months when they fixed the lines, I have 0 lines for two days and then when the transition was completed, lines would get disconnected suddenly and lines are not clear. My conflict with them is still on going. I would not recommend anyone to go for them.

account on the date it is due, we get a late payment fee of $22.00. They want us to allow them to Direct Debit our account. Since they cannot get the bill right why would I allow them access to my bank account?
When is our government going to protect Australian Business and stop unscrupuless incompetent companies from operating in Australia.

with Telstra for years but the rudeness and arrogance they produced when we had any issues became too much for me. We are currently on acreage three hours from Melbourne and have no phone service at all. There is no mobile service and now we have no landline. However it was fine for a technician to sit in his work ute last Saturday, in our drive way, watching the Targa rally pass but they haven't time to fix our only source of emergency communication. The operators at Southern phone have their hands tied but are always very polite. So much for a democratic country.
Outstanding customer service – Just had a phone call from Southern Cross Telco, my mobile provider. What a great company! I had a query about my bill, but on checking found the bill correct. They credited me anyway back to my plan amount, wow, what service. Australian based call-centre and staff are so friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Cancellation blunder – After cancelling my accounts in August "due to many overcharges", they kept on sending bills for lines that weren't theirs, I rang and spoke to a sales employee who agreed with me and organised credits, guess what the next month I got another bill, again ring employee and so on until they only charged me for broadband connection, what a joke, we are now in October, those people don't deserve to be in business. Rip off – My elderly mother has been paying $59.95 for line rental to SouthernCross telco now Comander and guess what they can't tell me why!!!! That is on top of $29.95 for internet she barely uses, $2.75 for every bill she receives (which she always pays immediately) and then phone calls of about $20 per month because she barely uses the phone!!! Worst Technical and customer service – I have called Coomander techincal support for installation. They cant fix the problem. Instead of resolving the issue suggest me to pay new commander plan, Worst Techincal support ever. Sales team dont know about the commander product. Absolutely the most useless company I've ever dealt with! – We have VOIP phones. Took forever and a nervous breakdown to have it installed. 3 months! So many phone calls to chase up and without these we'd still be waiting. Goes down all the time. Billing always wrong. No-one phones you back. Don't go anywhere near them. Sales promise everything and the rest can't deliver.

Cancel Immediately and do not sign up – ADSL were with sctelco and now have had no outgoings for one week. Only contact an overseas chat line who keep saying outage and trying to fix. Will cancel my direct debit today hopefully get rid of them soon. Show details
Didn't cancel Direct debit and wont pay money back – Commander have been direct debiting our business for 17months after contract ceased our fault for not picking up the extra charges but when we asked for a refund they will not pay it back. Now they wont return calls or emails. Stay away!
Commander Help Desk Phillipines (Pathetic) – Waste of time calling commander help line. Team in Philippines will not email you, will not call you. And have no records of your previous calls to them. Support lines close at 8pm, apparently all businesses close after 8pm in Australia, bad luck if you operate an afternoon shift or night shift. Try to get in contact with a Commander person in Australia....impossible.
Worst Telephone/Internet service ever! – I had been with Sctelco for over 6 years. I contacted them (now Commander) to see if I could get a better and cheaper deal. ADSL dropped out and Customer "Service" was rubbish. Their accounting system is a total mess,and I was now paying two separate accounts, one for Mobile and ADSL and one for Fixed line so I shopped around and got a better deal and changed to Southern Phone. The new service started in April, and it has been as smooth as silk! And now just as I thought I had all the Commander accounts sorted (60 days so far) I have been presented with a bill citing early termination! Wot???
Poor phone quality and service – This phone service took over 40 days to be transferred from Dodo (which Commander owns) as there were 2 numbers involved - this was considered a "complex" connection. What a joke of service. COMMANDER PHONE service sucks – Went to get a phone for my business. I was told by commander sales team about options for a 0, 24 and 36 months contract. I choose to go on a 0 month contract by paying the setup and the handset charges upfront. to get my services cancelled. BUT when I called Commander team they said I was on a 24 months contract, I requested that they should check but they came back with an argument that its on the paper. I had to wait another 45min to speak to 3-4 people in the team who won't let me disconnect the services by putting this false wording that you are on a contract and have to pay cancellation charge, they use this scare tactic to see if I don't disconnect.
Guys please be aware...Commander Phone does not send you a copy of the contract. They send you a welcome pack. make sure you request them to end you a copy of the contract along with the welcome letter when you start because if you get the copy of the contract sent out by them during the cooling off period of 10 days...you can simply get the services cancelled if the paperwork says something else that you have not agreed to. Remember they make a voice recording when you sign the contract with them over the phone..So you can ask for that as well if in trouble.
Lack of concern – Terrible customer service. Only company a customer has to pay to contact them. Oowe us money and won't pay – Fed up with this company. They kept billing us after we left them and tell us they have paid money into our account. No money there. Not to be trusted. Incompetent. Avoid.
Worst customer service - stay away – We are a not for profit organisation who deal with many suppliers. We have been appalled by the customer service or lack thereof. find out that there are other elements to the contract. Apparently we were on 24, 36 & 60 month contracts. We break one contract and pay the fee but then we are told that we need return the box on the wall. When we explained that we were not technicians they indicated that it would be a minimum $250 call out fee. We would also be charged if we damaged the box. Unfortunately we are still in another contract for line rentals so when we can get to the point of the exit fee not being too prohibitive we will move to someone else. There people are rude and are not consistent in their information.
Liars and frauds! – Rang husband's mobile and claimed could beat current prices (they couldn't! Slower speeds and less data!) husband stated wasn't interested. 2 weeks later received a modem in mail from them and they changed service out of my name and into his without permission! customer service take weeks to return your call. Overseas call centers to people you can't even understand has taken multiple complaints to have a poor line fixed properly 3+ techs later, slow speeds constant drop outs which they say is our fault. I do not recommend this company to anyone anymore. It has taken me 2 to 3 phone calls a day for the last week to get anywhere I have lost count on how many "[name removed]" I have spoken to can't even return promised phone calls. Telstra tech has been and repaired long standing issue and yet speeds are still poor.
Commander have ruined Southern Cross Telco – Longstanding happy and loyal customer of SCT. Commander have lost that touch, don't care about customers and hence have lost me. Customer Service rating 0/10. My stress levels now 10/10. Adios Commander.

Pensioners do not be fooled – do not follow me down southern phones path, Bills are hard to understand, fee for calls are expensive 77 cents for a mms, will leave asap, "southern phones wake up" none of my friends will join you, no returning customer for me.

Was better before Commander – We signed up with Southern Cross Telco years ago and never had any trouble. The deals were good and the customer service fantastic. over an hour to sort out, most of this time is spent on hold or even being hung up on. The staff are reluctant to help and would rather blame the customer and then pass you on to someone else. When I requested to be able to put in a formal complaint I was told that I couldn't and that it would be pointless. When I was finally transferred I spoke to a lovely man who was based in Hobart and used to work for SCT. Even he dislikes Commander.
The service with this company is horrible, stay away.
Waiting to Exit – As a person living in regional Australia, I foolishly believed the leaflet posted to me that Southern Phone would be cheaper than Telstra. My bills skyrocketed. The phone attached to 24 month contract was rubbish. I had to buy new phone, new modem and pay excessive call rates. Absolutely shocking service in all areas – Both my phone and internet service took longer to connect than their regulations stated. Absolutely discusting and unacceptable. It would appear that, after they have taken your money, they dont care one bit about their customers.
Avoid this company - they are nothing short of criminal.
