I would conduct a speed test through Ookla and found it matched the service I am currently paying for. I did encounter a problem in late 2025 as I was experiencing frequent dropouts. I contacted support. a remote reset was complete and my connection improved afterwards. The process was completed within approximately 42 hours, from when I submitted my concern out of business hours and the time-frame I was given to monitor any changes.

I attached a screenshot of my current speed, captured on 26-03-26 at 17:08. For accessibility, it reads 97.75Mbps download and 18.35Mbps upload. As I am using a VPN, it has decreased the maximum download speed by 2.25Mbps.

I note that I have never encountered any billing issues and can recommend this service to others. I thank John B for his support for when I had questions about my service in the past, and for assisting with my FTTC to FTTP upgrade.

was only getting about 40/18Mbps. I contacted the help desk via the online chat and was put through to Xyra who ran me through a couple of steps to reconfigure my router. In less that 10mins I was back up and running with the correct speeds. Really good experience with Spintel so far!

Finally able to receive help from someone who cares and has expertise at Spintel NBN – Having had no positive action from Spintel since 15/11/24 when I was connected to FTTB (up from FTTC), I was contacted & received support from HARNIE from Spintel and he/she was able to fix my upgraded speed issue within a couple of minutes. I just wish that more Spintel customer-liason staff could have been as efficient and therefore, I could have had this resolved weeks ago. Show details

No internet for over a week. Our modem failed last Monday, so were waiting for Spintel to send us a replacement. service is none existent. You get an Ai generated response which just repeats your messages to them apologies but offers no solution. They say they can't do anything about there couriers service they contracted. What a cop out. "Your only as strong as your weakest link". So you have been warned what to expect if you move to Spintel. When the modem was working we have to power cycle it at least twice a week. I use my telstra network data on my phone to stop the messages informing me of no internet available. You will likely see an Ai generated Spintel customer response informing they appreciate feedback it makes them better. Which is of course rubbish, Spintel are cost driven and don't care about customers. We purchased a Spintel recommend Router locally to get our internet up and running again quickly, but there customers service didn't want to use it because it wasn't purchased from them. So we returned it where we purchased it from. Will be talking to the ACCC next to raise an official complaint and seek advice. Currently reviewing ISP's so we can get reliable internet again. I contacted Team Global Express they asked me to contact again in 48hrs if the modem doesn't turn up. Enough is enough, I asked them to return the modem to sender (Spintel) if it turns up. We'll move on with another ISP.

progressed after an hour. So appears no Tech support whatsoever.

Tried phoning them, but on weekends there is no human that works for Spintel that you can speak to. None.

Therefore, unless you have high-end tech skills do not sign up with this company. I cannot comment on their Internet service as I was never able to get connected!

UPDATE: stayed in the above tech support chat queue for 5-hours, only progressing to 100th in the queue (meaning it would have taken ~30 hours in the queue to get support), only to then get bumped because it became ‘outside normal business hours’ and the queue closed(!!).

So bad almost comical.

 Follow-up  · After the initial connection issues, the service has since been stable and consistent with speeds as advertised. No complaints about the ongoing broadband service. Only complaint now is once the signup discount period ended they had been regular price increases, making it much the same price now as the previous telco I left! So might be time to move on again.

I reported problems with my NBN connection which SpinTel analyzed and advised me of an NBN update, something of which I was unaware, I now get such messages from the NBN. The service from SpinTEl is amazing, far better than other companies I have dealt with! Show details

 Follow-up  · NBN went through a large update in my area and while there has been no observable difference in speed there has been a definite improvement in reliability. Spintel rang the NBN group who advised them of the upgrade, something I did not know.

companies you pay in advance so when you cancel your services there is usually nothing more to pay as you are ahead. But with this company the bill is generated say on the 6th of the month, it comes out of your account on say the 13th, but you are paid up until the end of the month. It is very hard to keep track of where you are because they extract the funds in the middle of your cycle. Knowing I was cancelling I wanted to do it before my billing cycle renewed from my bank which was the 13th. [Name Removed] that I spoke with on the 11th told me there was nothing further to pay on my account, as in zero. Then just a few days later another $132.43 was taken out of my account. It felt to me like they took another months worth when I'd already been told there was nothing further to pay and believing that I was paid up to the end of the month for February. Very annoyed by the false information given to me by [Name Removed].

2. They have issues with their decisions on where they send their 2fa verification to, for a customer to be able to log into their account. I was paying for 2 services, my old phone number and my new phone number, they were told I was just using the old number until I transferred everything across to the new number. But they chose to send notifications to my old number, including 2 factor authentication. This meant once the old phone was reset for sale I could no longer receive those notifications and therefore could no longer sign into my account to view my bills. Even though I'd been paying for the new phone number for many months they still wanted me to go through all the 100 points of ID to be able to send the notifications to the new number instead. Highly irritating and unnecessary if they'd done the job right in the first place.

3. I was never once able to view and download my bills, most other utility type companies I never had a single issue accessing my bills from emails sent. Again highly irritating and a huge problem!

4. After I cancelled my services, for both my mobile and the NBN, I was told I had paid up to the end of the month including the final day, 28th of February. So I expected to be able to still use these services up till the end of the day on the 28th! Not only did i get a further bill for $2.16, but they cut my services off at 5pm on the 28th, they robbed me of 7hrs of service that I had already paid for!!!

This is highly unprofessional and roguish and unfair. I was moving interstate and I needed to access the internet urgently on that last day. I was not happy and I will never ever recommend Spintel again.

 Follow-up  · I paid up to the 28th of February, which includes all of the 28th, yet they cut my nbn off at 5pm that day, robbing me of 7hrs of internet and phone use, which I already paid for and had badly needed to use. Then had the gall to charge me $2 something for I’m not sure what. Yet they owe me! Seriously in the beginning I thought they were good, but no, they aren’t really. Still 1 star!

Beware that if you want to leave Spintel, they do not adjust the final bill to your leaving date. So leave just before the end of a month. I left on the 3rd of the month and I am still being charged for the whole month ahead. The payment is not due until the 23rd and there's plenty of time to fix it but they will not. (They were fine until then.) Show details

grandparents without any sort of phone. Unfortunately they're too stuck in their ways to learn how to use a mobile phone, thankfully this was the situation that convinced them otherwise. Spintel had no care in the world for the fact this was their main point of contact, or their old number had been removed despite citing that we wanted to keep it. All while the Optus 000 Scandal was happening. Thankfully AussieBroadband were able to recover the number after placing it in quarantine and saved the day.

Spintel finally churn the number across and on the first bill my grandparents get charged for all calls despite them being included in the $10 plan. According to Spintel support this was my fault for not choosing the correct plan. Even when showing a screenshot of the order confirmation they still were trying to play it off like it wasn't their fault and then finally when waiving a bill had the audacity to reference it as a goodwill gesture.

Offshoring your support is one thing, but how about actually training these staff members to be competent. From bringing my grandparents service over, to all the nonsense since, they absolutely won't be staying with this crappy company.
