disaster without end – booked into an expensive tour that did not exist in all praticality, took no responsibility and blamed to the overseas tour company who would not refund, if this company still exists post covid - do no use them
Is this agency a scam?? – I have not been able to receive a refund and I was told it was credited and I no longer can contact my agent, no emails have been responded to in months. Not even from the agency itself. No one is answering the phone when I contact or returning my calls. Show details
Really dangerous driving – Just hopped on the 389 bus at 5 ways Paddington 8.32am. As I was walking toward my seat he lurched out into the street really anurptly and I banged my knee against st the seat. I work on my feet all day and my knee is aching and a chunk of skin was taken off. I assumed bus rides were ment to be safe for the passengers? Show details

STA missleading it's customers – STA lead us to beleive the hotel they'd booked had our money, yet upon contacting that hotel we were advised they had not yet been paid.. So in evidence this company is lying about withholding cash in a world crisis and possibly capitalising of that money?. time frame, with a very sound advice from Rachel. This was good, because I could focus on enjoying my day trips from Santiago de Chile, Rio de Janeiro, 4-day Adventure Trip to the Amazon Jungle and to visit city of Manaus (Brazil). The trip booking was so good there was no need for adjusting, or fortunately no need to cancel anything!

Extremely disappointed – When Singapore cancelled our fights due to COVID-19 I contacted STA as no contact was made from them in regards to this, after exchanging a number of emails to the manager being advised I cannot have a refund for the $5174 I’ve paid on flights we can only have flight credit as purchase blue tickets starting with “000” it only enables flight credit… Read more
but after 12months we qualify for a FULL refund on these tickets purchased, I mentioned in the emails exchanged I was requesting a refund as I had major concerns on the travel industry during these uncertain times, only to be reassured from the manager that STA travel is a global company that has been around for 40 years and will remain to be around for the next 40 years and that our flight money was safe with them, only for 1 week later to receive another email to say STA travel is going into voluntary administration, now no contact what so ever via email or calls and we’re left wondering what’s happens with our money now where do we stand :( Very disappointing leaving a lot of people now stuck fighting in hope to get their money back from holidays and flights they can no longer go on due no fault of their own.

No refund by STA despite STA receiving refund from airline – We have had the same experience. We were informed that Qatar had refunded the money and it was in the STA account and would be refunded into our bank account. This was more than a month ago and nothing has happened. STA advised that they received my airline refund but have not passed it on to me – I booked travel with STA for September/October 2020, using Qatar airlines. filing for insolvency. Now they don't reply to emails, they don't answer the phone and they have had my almost $5k sitting in their bank account since July. :-(
Would give less than one star if possible – After initially trying to book my honeymoon, and the agent not returning my calls, emails to proceed, I found another STA agent who booked my trip and was FANTASTIC in this process. get written confirmation I should be receiving a refund. She then told me I would get my refund within 5 months. It has now been 6 months, and I email weekly on the progress and get the same email from agent and head office- to keep waiting. I then contacted the airlines and my refund haven't been requested. This was infuriating. I now am still waiting- and am having to seek help on how to get my money back as they obviously have no intention too without me pushing for it.

I would add that STA did not initiate any communication with me to inform me that flights were cancelled or to offer any explanation or assistance. As I have already explained to STA staff, I will not be in a position to avail of a voucher in the future. Avoid this company!!

Terrible Travel agent – I booked flights last September to fly in April 2020. My flights were cancelled by the airline, the airline assures me they have refunded the money but I still have not received any kind of refund from STA travel. I would not recommend purchasing any service from this travel agent. Show details
Terrible customer support – Horrific customer support during covid. My airline refunded them in full for a canceled flight, which I was originally told would be passed onto me. Then they changed their mind 10 days later and said "the policy changed". And since then they won't respond to any emails. I've had to go through the ACCC and will probably need to take the matter to the small claims court. Never booking through them again. Show details
Beyond dissatisfied – we booked our holiday for April, we weren't able to go due to covid. We haven't received our money back months later and they have been extremely difficult to deal with.
Terrible support during COVID – Little to zero support in dealing with my refund. Flight was cancelled back in March 20. Still waiting for my refund. They sold me flight insurance a week before my flight was cancelled knowing well that I can’t be refunded for my insurance and now they’re keeping my money for my trip that has been cancelled.
