Waited 6 weeks and have contacted the Townsville Store 3 times now. An email to State Office has also failed to get any results All I require is a quotation after giving the dimesions to the local office for two roller doors How difficult is it to actually get a quotation? I can only imagine the ongoing issues after any actual install
If i could give them zero stars i would. Called steel line to book an inspection on the roller door motor as this was the brand used by our builder. inspection. So i payed for the inspection.Service tech turns up mid morning,i spoke to him and he said he will contact the office and that they would give me a call. No call from them,so i made the call. Was advised they dont do appointments and that i was told the wrong information and that the service fee was to complete a service on the door. I said no i just need the motor looked at and a door service was not required. So another appointment was made which i then cancelled within 20minutes of re booking and requested a refund. Emailed the sales staff with the details spoken about with another team member and its been nearly 3 weeks and no reply after repeated emails and follow ups. Ive called numerous times and have been informed accounts deal with refunds and only do them on fridays. Have been told each time ive called and followed up that the refund shouldnt be a problem and my emails have been forwarded to head office and still no acknowlegement or replies from my emails. I have called multiple times today and can not even get them to pick up the phone. So nearly 3 weeks on,no phone calls,no email replies and no refund. I want my $192.50 back into my account that you were so quick to take. If you want next day service and motor replaced call someone else. I highly recommend AAA Garage doors in ipswich. Fantastic to deal with,inspect by appointment and offer great prices on new roller door motors which i bought and had them fit without any dramas. I would love to get a response,a call,an email as to when my $192.50 will be returned.

Worst garage door we’ve had in 20+ years as home owner. Rubber seal at bottom of door detached within 6 months of us moving in to a brand new townhouse. Unfortunately, rubber strip has a mere 12-month warranty that starts from the day the builder installed it. E-Door Zimi app that is supposed to work with the garage door is also inferior. Long lag time (sometimes more than 8 minutes), frequent disconnections despite Zimi device is less than 30cm from wifi router and garage opener mechanism where the dongle is plugged in is 2m away from wifi router. Worst still if one opens the garage door with the Zimi, it often interferes with the original remote controller too. Ridiculous also that it requires annual servicing

22 In Early April I noticed a problem with the door called and booked a technician in the day he was supposed to come in fell sick and came the following week during this 2 weeks I had parked my car outside.
Once the technician came he took pictures and said someone would get in touch with me. That's when the problem started ( the silent treatment) after 3 weeks when I did not get any call I called and could only leave a message. Which I did 3-4 voice message without a reply. Then I looked through the product review and got a number when I called they said its head office and they have sent a message and someone will get back to me. Some one did call the next day and said they are still looking into this after 4 weeks and someone will get back to me. I waited another 3 weeks still no call and then I called again and still could only go to voice mail. Then I selected another option and the head office called and said someone would call someone did and said they need to replace the door as they cant replace only the panel but I have to pay for it I said I would like to speak to management as the door is less then 2 years old and if she could let me know the details and she had advised she cant give me details but will email management.
At this point I emails the sales rep who then forwarded the email to the so called people who were to look into that. After a few days when I did not get any response I emailed both but as usual after 2 weeks still no answer so now lodging a complain with ombudsman

saying that have forwarded my details to the supervisor/manager and will get back to me. Even if I get through, the customer service books a technician in, they do not show up at the booked time or just show up whenever they feel like it. I work all week and do not have the luxury ducking out and meet them on short notice. Its currently Mar 2024 and I am still trying to arrange someone to come out and inspect the installation. I am no garage expert, but the bracket look like not even installed straight might which I suspect is causing the excess grinning noise. At this rate, I am fearful the garage will fail and drop on my cars and it will be a nightmare on insurances claims.

measurements for a new tilt garage door. Never did he raise any concerns with the door placement, bulkhead or other stuff. I accepted the quote, paid the deposit and the door was ordered. Tw days before the install on the last week of May 2022 , I was contacted by the office to make the final payment to book the install. I paid the balance and two installers came, installed the door. We rented the property and fast forward with in an year the door started sagging once opened. I placed a service call back in March and the technicians came a month after on April 21st. They said that the doors and hinges need to be replaced as it was not measured or installed correctly. They told the tenant that Steel-Line will be in touch with me. I didn't hear back at all. On June 2nd, I contacted Steel Line through an email and then followed up again on the 6th to which I got a reply saying the door operation is the best we could do and they can't help. I sent another email with the details on what the technicians said to which I got a response from another person on 10th June basically saying the bulkhead is causing the problem . The bulk head was there right from the beginning since the sales rep came and measured and he never said that it is an issue and we will run into problems in future. I sent an email back with those details and never got any response. Now I have a situation where the door sags more frequently and the tenant and family nearly escaped from some serious accidents lately. They are ready to terminate the tenancy due to the major safety concerns. I have been trying to get help from Steel-Line for the past few days through emails and multiple phone calls during days, unfortunately so far there is no positive response from Steel-Line. It is been six months I have put my time and effort behind this to get Steel-Line's attention to resolve this problem. It is such a shame for a leading garage door company who is in business for more than 40 years treat the customers like this. If it was a mistake they did from quoting itself, they should own it and fix it. I wish there are some escalation points to reach their higher management to look at this. I saw on one of the internet forums, Steel-Line's CEO himself responding to customers a few years ago. I wish I can reach out to him and bring these issues with him. I wish someone is there look after the customers, someone do the quality check on their service, post-install communications. As a customer who put my hard earned money and time into this shouldn't have to go through this. Nobody should go through this.
I wouldn't install one if it were free! – We had to have our garage door replaced as the old one was damaged, so had our local garage door company replace it in Sep 2021. They recommended Steel-Line saying they install it all over the place and highly recommend it. I had the installer come out 3 times to see what could be done, after which they said there was nothing more that they could do and got a service guy from Steel-Line to come out and have a look.
The service guy from Steel-line came out in Jan, had a look and said there was nothing wrong with the install and that unfortunately, the model I had selected is known to be extremely noisy. So I told him that if this were the case and a known issue, they should either not be selling a defective product or at the very least let customers selecting that model know about the noise before they went ahead, and if they had informed me, I would have happily selected something else! He apologised and said someone from customer service would be in touch... That was the last I heard from them!
I was so frustrated by then, that I couldn't be bothered following up with anyone anymore and have been living with the noise and frustration every time I open the garage. This morning, it finally got to me and I've done what I should have done in Jan - write this review.

Crappy panel door. I am subjected to strong westerly wind. The steeline door cops the full blast from that direction. It bangs and creaks savagely and drives us insane. I would not recommend this product to any prospective purchasers.

business and the company as big as yours should probably understand the key man risk they’re holding there or stop lying to Clients that you actually have more than that.
To ask somebody at booking is it a tilt door and then still managed to book the wrong technician? It was pretty much the last straw given all the other delays and issues I’ve had with your company and your inability to even explain to the builder about the maintenance requirements for these type of doors was a joke.
The best thing is I found a local company to come out and do it and they’ve done it for a very reasonable price met with me and my Builder explained a few things and have been infinitely more help than your company has been not only did I ring him and make an inquiry last night? He’s come out this afternoon and done it. Your company couldn’t even manage that in six weeks.
I hope you pass the feedback on and if you don’t, I don’t really care.

removed the 2 old doors and then installed both the new doors complete with brush seals. Brock was outstanding in his work ethic and skillset. He did a perfect job. Both doors working perfectly and the brush seals are great. Very happy with the whole process.
Couldn't make a job at my place which is fair enough. However, I did pay a thousand dollar deposit and still waiting for a refund after 4 weeks. They say it has been processed but still no money in my account and really no one to talk to. They just say it's been done and can take like 14 days but not really sure if it's true or not I don't have an official confirmation. Avoid.

Requested a quote for our damaged existing door, the rep came out and quoted for the replacement within a couple of days, was happy with the quote and arranged for fitment. There was a couple of weeks lead time which wasn't an issue, the installer came around at the arranged time and was gone within an hour or so. Very happy !
