I do not find the trimmer heavy or difficult to use with the battery inserted. Because the motor is located at the cutting/line head, the trimmer is really well balanced. The D handle is adjustable and I have found the perfect position for the D handle for my use. I also found that turning the D handle 180 degrees provides a good hold and grip when I'm using the trimmer as an edge trimmer where I rotate the unit to do lawn edges.

The reason I ask specifically for the weight, I have a lung disease, and get really exhausted only walking a few steps with a specific trimmer that weighed 5kg. It was simply too heavy for me
