Sunbeam KE6100 Questions & Answers

If it has been discontinued, I'm surprised that it was sold to you. Have you read the other reviews on this kettle? We had ours for 2.5 years and obviously out of warranty. My husband boiled water and was filling cups, then suddenly hot water was going out onto the kitchen bench. It appears that the sealant between the chrome ring and the glass had failed. You may have your kettle for years and no problems.

My kettle was only 13 months old when the mesh filter perished. I only noticed it due to being able to see through the kettle which was lucky cos the mesh had fallen into many small pieces into the water. I tried to get a new mesh filter for it but after a lot of trying, was told the model was discontinued and the part not available. Surely when something is sold, replacement parts should remain available for people to buy after the expiry of the guarantee!! Love the kettle's see through factor but not being able to get a filter ruins it's appeal to me.

12 months after my original question That kettle developed rust around the inside base & (wait for it) has been replaced by Sunbeam. exactly the same kettle, which no doubt will also rust. Very disappointing. Ali G Feb 2022

Mine has perished also and now the jug keeps boiling as it can't reach temperature due to the filter being removed

I have only had this kettle less than a year and have not had any issues. Sorry I’m unable to help
