computer for set up. The available laptop computers don't have this connection. One hour wait for technical help, not prepared to wait.
Tangerine has become just like the others which has left my neighbour without internet and me embarrassed. I won't be recommending anyone else for your service.

REALLY peeved with Tangerine Telecom – I have a fixed wireless NBN connection installed using one of the new high-tech antennas. had this issue for 3 months and have logged 8 complaints about the service to them, each of which gets closed with the comment "Problem Resolved". I even sent them an image of the NBN modem with no signal, and still they do not fix it. The customer service is the worst I have ever come across. I often find I am speaking to a woman in a Philippines village, as you can hear chooks clucking, dogs barking. How unprofessional. I am trying to run a business from home, and they are no help. I am going to look for another ISP!!

activated. A couple of hours later we were up and running at speeds we've only dreamed about during our previous 3 or 4 years with Optus (6 with Telstra before that). More importantly, the service is stable. Yes we haven't had the service very long, so I'll update review if things go bad after the honeymoon period; but so far we're delighted with Tangerine's service. I do find their web portal a bit difficult to navigate, but there's a phone number to talk to support that is answered within minutes (amazing). Support staff are friendly and helpful. Although one or two do have quite thick accents so are quite difficult to understand, they don't get cranky when repeating for the third time, so we get there in the end. All in all, we're totally impressed with all aspects of Tangerine. Excellent value for money and great product. Oh yes - we got 3 months free Binge as a welcome; although after a quick look round at what's on offer on Binge, I doubt we will continue after the 3 months is up.
Follow-up · No speed issues even during peak traffic times. We're advised if there's going to be a planned outage, and for how long - they're usually in the early hours of the morning so no impact. I think we've only had 2 since we joined. We had an unplanned outage the other day, probably due to the terrible weather we'd had for days. I reported it online and it was back within hours despite localised flooding. We're more than happy with Tangerine so far.

despite having my info on file and despite me telling them repeatedly what the problem is. To top it off, even though I told them I was at work, they closed my case because they couldn’t contact me. Also to remove your direct debit account so you’re not getting charged for internet that doesn’t even work they ask for a $3.50 “servicing fee”. A criminal display of incompetence and idiocy. Avoid at all costs.
Edit: Worth mentioning that the only way I got a refund and not account credit was by threatening legal action. Cancelled my service cus these guys are hopeless

I rang Tangerine with a specific question about VOIP and bring-your-own router as I was unsatisfied with TPG. Bingo was terrific and told me what I wanted to hear. interrupted. I always paid buddy via their app but now that's worthless and I am getting messages from tangerine about my account has been suspended due to my direct debit not going through. I never agreed to a direct debit and definitely didn't agree to pay it to this mob. Won't be seeing money from me. Going elsewhere.

your account. Their setup instructions are absolutely useless and even on dynamic IP, it doesn’t work. You go to live chat and no one is there and there is absolutely nothing to indicate you’re in a queue and if that queue is moving at all. You call them up and it’s an approximate 1.5hr wait. You write a complaint on their website and when you click submit, it says capatcha is wrong but there is no capatcha section to enter. This company is absolutely and utterly useless. I relayed this information to Tangerine, and they tell me they cant or wont raise the ticket. They say that they need to verify things. It has been 11 DAYS !!!!!!! Personally, I wouldn’t recommend Tangerine. The small saving wasn’t worth the hassle and constant frustration. At least, they gave me 50% refund on a plan that I tried to use for about 5 days... Lost the rest. But that is the only reason I am giving 2 starts rather than 1 star.

Good product, and well priced. We have been with Tangerine on two occasions - both times we were stung with overdue bills due to their online terminal not registering direct debit details - despite it saying that the direct debit set up was successful. first Fri night. She had a tech call me, and he said don't/can't use the coaxial. So he had me send in the pictures again, and to include the Provisioning Team email, because the Resolutions person had not passed them to him. Then I received a demand for a development Fee. Quite encouraging actually, at least it sounded like they were acknowledging that we had fibre. Paid the money, and in an hour or so the little light on the NBN fibre terminal came alive. 3 weeks between providing the same photos of NBN terminal. What's the lesson? The provisioning people got it wrong and the culture in Tangerine is to not admit an error and not learn from it. D

Wasted so much time resetting my modem and NBN box (approximately 3 times), moving a hardwired computer to said modems to connect directly as they thought it was my WiFi router. Note the box is not in a convenient place to move a computer to. Then finally they wanted to call out a technician but from the very beginning I said it was a provisioning issue because the speed was capped to one of their lower plans. Apparently tech support dont see the speed set up from customer service. Left had dont talk to right hand. They gave me a paltry $25 for my inconvenience. The staff and teams they have are horrendous, woefully trained and have zero customer service.
