Compared to the experience I had with my 2 previous telcos that were laborious and stressful, my interaction with Tangerine was pleasant and seamless. Marie J, just as Marielou, was friendly, knowledgeable and, if may add, cheerful. Customer service – WIN ( Winrich ) had amazing customer service and went out their way to make sure all my queries were answered, everything was simple, used WhatsApp chat to communicate ( which I prefer rather then speaking on the phone due to my anxiety) so I really liked that. Extremely poor customer service + tech support. Tangerine has refused to look into SMS failures, service reps provide conflicting information about how to access support + make complaints and the company even refuses to provide customers with a copy of their own customer service agreement. found a better deal with flip internet so called tangerine to cancel. It took them 12 minutes to answer my call, 9 minutes to try p convince me to stay although not Willi g to match Flip's prices and then he put me through to someone he claimed could match the deal and that person said they cant match it then messed about for 11 minutes trying to get me to stay despite Flip being $25 per month cheaper!

Eventually they cancelled my service and said they won't be refunding me for the 3 weeks still left on my plan! It took almost 33 minutes for the entire call. I signed up with flip in 7 minutes!

EDIT: 15 January 2026 despite cancelling my service and informing me that I will not receive a partial refund for what I paid in advance, they have taken out another month in advance even though I am not their customer any more! I'm on hold and it's going to take them 18 minutes to answer my call, they've stolen my money and left me short for other things I have to pay and it will take several working days for them to refund me!!! I'm absolutely furious that they would steal from people like that!!!

 Follow-up  · After quite a bit of time on the phone, they agreed to refund me only half of the extra month that they charged me. I could take it further and get a full refund but they obviously prey on people who are moving and don't have time to sort it out. If ripping me (a disabled pensioner) off $35 makes them feel better then good on them. I'm now with… Read more

I had to request a pro rata refund for a cancelled nbn service. There was a long wait on the phone but this refund was achieved easily with the help of Tangerines assistant called Manny. Show details ·  1

 Follow-up  · I chose Tangerine because of cost & being a Telstra offshoot. Manny assisted in getting the refund by speaking clear English & taking the time to resolve the refund issue.

changeover would be organised as I requested. In order to avail my self of the present special offer, which expires tomorrow, MJ setup my account over the phone. No problem at all. It was done very quickly and in the bargain I got a free modem, sent to me without any cost or obligation. Yes, what more could you want. I highly recommend to speak to MJ if you need a new account. I will get back reviewing the service once I have switched. Hopefully it is as good as the Sales Service. Thank you MJ!

I just went to sign up for an NBN service and got to the end where you have to tick boxes for T&C's etc where there was one box to allow contact for 3rd party marketing. This box didn't have an Asterix against it but it would not let me proceed with my order until I ticked it...absolute disgrace

I would not recommend. I have recently started with them and been with them for about a month. And their internet cuts out all the time. It freezes things up regularly, you can't download things and watch things at the same time. It makes you sign I ti everything again because of how it cuts you out.
