Do not do business with them! We bought a nice *looking*, not cheap Art & Science Platinum "Firm Support" King size mattress from Sleeping Giant Mile End on 26 Nov 2021. We discussed the 10 year warranty period with them and that gave us confidence to purchase, thinking it would remain comfortable for at least 10 years. Sure enough within a few… Read more

years (well within the 10 year warranty period) the mattress is no longer fit for purpose - two narrow grooves/troughs formed where we sleep causing us to roll into uncomfortably into. Of course you can't see the problematic deformation because of the top foam layer masking the issue - this is what they use to weasel their way out of honouring their warranty and replacing their unfit product. I'm will continue to press for their warranty to be honoured, terrible service. In the meantime I will advertise my negative experience, seriously poor form. They need to learn from companies like Costco which have awesome customer guarantees for their products.

The friendliness and knowledge of sales staff sells product – Tamara was friendly, humorous, very knowledgeable, helpful and fielded all questions asked of her. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, no "upselling" of needless and expensive "treatments" and even though the end of year specials were ending, no urgency. Mattress in a box; – Went to The Sleeping Giant @Mile End yesterday 15/12/24. A very friendly greeting by Liana, into a pleasant bed store. explained re what to do with my mattress when home. Assisted me to my car wheeling the box with own wheels ( amazing) in car and drove home. After getting box into house, read instructions and proceeded to get a rolled up mattress to a full single bed size. Nifty little tool provided to cut the plastic off mattress made a job so easy. Well next the mattress inflated in front of me, not too long I had my single mattress ready to go. Who would have thought 41 yrs ago buying my own daughter's mattress ,getting it delivered, to today taking a box in my car, do it yourself unwrap and hey presto you have a single mattress ready to sleep. LOL. Thanks Liana :-)

Please do your homework as the 1 Star review all explain a similar trend in quality and customer service. False advertising. Do not recommend, order was near $5000 and poor quality.

I asked for the details written down for a bed I was considering. They wanted all my personal information for this and have then proceeded to send me this review link and also called me for a follow up. So I haven’t bought anything from this shop and I never will and I’m very bothered by the amount of intrusion I’ve received for a simple enquiry.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Sleeping Giant. I spent $3,000 on two mattresses and two bed bases after a lot of careful planning and saving. When the bed bases couldn’t be delivered upstairs (despite my existing queen bases fitting just fine), I had no choice but to return them. full $130 delivery fee.

Then came the kicker — a $200 cancellation fee for the returned bases. This was not a change of mind, but a logistical issue on delivery day. The company still profited handsomely from the sale, and the returned items will no doubt be quickly resold given I had to wait over three weeks for delivery. The fee felt like nothing more than a way to squeeze the customer for extra dollars on the way out.

Even worse was the response when I questioned it. The store manager implied that I should be grateful, because other stores would’ve treated me worse. This wasn’t just unprofessional — it was a tactic used to dismiss the customer and shut down the conversation and defend a decision that lacked any real goodwill or logic. Despite my request to speak to a customer service manager, kept getting put back onto the store manager to listen useless excuses.

Sleeping Giant had a real opportunity to demonstrate integrity and look after a customer who acted in good faith. Instead, they chose policy over fairness and left me feeling ripped off. I won’t be shopping here again, and I’ll be warning others to think twice.

added on. $200 for delivery for a 50 minute drive is a joke. Assembly of the bed is $100 then if I wanted the dressing table and two side table legs put on it was $40 per item. I did choose to have the gas lift bed assembled for $100, but all up it has been an additional $300 on top of the bedroom price. I paid cash that I saved really hard for and it felt like a real inconvenience for the ladies to count.

We purchased this on the 15th of September 2024 and was told delivery would be late October early November. I rang first week of November as I had heard nothing. I was told late November. Again no phone call. I rang again late November and was told their was a delay and the final piece would be in the warehouse on the 3rd of December. I rang 5th of December as no one had called me again and then told that my account was on hold as I needed to pay the final $100 extra for delivery. Again no one called me. I paid straight away and was told delivery is confirmed for this Saturday. I rang Wednesday to confirm delivery times and told I was going to get a text that afternoon or Thursday. I received no text messages by Thursday at 4:30. Rang again and apparently my shipment has unbooked itself and now need to wait until the 21st of December.

This is not ok, communication is the worst, customer service is terrible. I just pray my product isn't faulty as per other peoples reviews and holding breath hoping it arrives. I will never buy from them again.
