If you are charging premium pricing, then the experience needs to match. This didn’t come close.
I’ve since requested a refund because there is no value in keeping a policy with a provider I don’t trust to deliver when needed.
I won’t be using this company again and I would not recommend them based on this experience.

dinner, breakfast and a final lunch before getting two QANTAS seats at around $600 each back to Brisbane. We had further costs with a taxi in Brisbane. Absolutely none of this was claimable through TICK. Our premium paid would have been much better served contributing to the extra costs. We have previously used TICK, but never had a need to lodge a claim.

Better than average – Difficult to navigate medical assessment. Repeatedly highlighting back button to go through another condition and unable to confirm exclusions and move on. Also why is it necessary to have a minimum of thirty words in a review? also travel not yet commenced. Please check dates of policy. Show details
Car hire excess not suitable – this is my fourth insurance, and previously I would have rated it a 5 star, but I note on this one the car excess has dropped to 3000, for this reason I will look elsewhere as my company requires us to have a minimum of 4000 in car excess.. Follow-up · The first time I claimed I had taken out the no excess option. that was exactly what happened. I never paid anything. I just sent all the bills to them and they paid everything. Second time was the normal excess. There was no hassle about it. Everything was done smoothly and efficiently.

Don't cover the basics. READ the fine print. Use any alternative insurer – I paid for top domestic cover. I lost a pair of sunglasses on a hike. Made a claim and was told in my email initially that sunglasses ARE claimable, only then after to receive a "corrected email" to say sunglasses are excluded from lost items. something like that happened to me I was so frustrated and didn't know where to start. The lady on the phone checked my policy and talked to her supervisor and then confirmed I was covered for up to $1000 for accommodation and meal but rental car. After hearing that, it was such a relief, and I took my family straight to an accommodation and checked in right away. I even collected some receipts for meals. Now they are saying I'm not covered for anything because flooding is a natural disaster and give me stupid terms which I didn't even check because the lady on the phone already checked everything for me. Now I'm stuck with the hotel/meal bills whereas I could ask my friend for 3 night stay. What a dumb and irresponsible insurance company it is. They are also refusing the fact they confirmed my claim prior, they should have a recording of me and the lady's conversation, don't even bother to check. Run away people not worth it!

Rail trip cancelled due to Covid. TICK refuse to pay up – Family rail trip to Perth cancelled due to border closures. Trip was the last chance for a family get together/90th birthday party. Railway offerred credits but will not guarantee same trip for same cost. Parents now unable to travel due to health conditions. Both TICK and the railway refuse to refund. Show details
