occasions. He did such a poor job on the first attempt that the stone stairs looked worse than before he started. Despite agreeing that honing was required, on the first attempt he simply washed them with a pressure hose. Eventually agreed that this was no good and came back 2 more times to finish the job. He was obviously being paid far less than I was paying Tile Cleaners and trying to do the job on the cheap.

No response at all from Tile Cleaners when I raised all these issues, including sending detailed photo of the terrible first attempt.

Job now done but barely acceptable and still not great. I’ve lost any energy to continue to fight about this other than to leave this review.

From my experience, do not use this company

Sent over all the information including area and about 7 pictures to someone called Justin for a 100 sq meter clean seal and non slip treatment and had nothing back that was on 27th August 25.

Cancelled last minute – Very disappointed with service and customer service laying the blame on Optus outage. This company does not even give the tradie your address till the morning of the job even after booking it 2 weeks ago and sending repeated emails daily to remind me of the booking. Took time off work and empited my bathroom for nothing. Cancelled my job 10mins before the start time. Terrible set up and service level.

Very easy to deal with – From the moment I called, until the job was complete, it was handled very professionally. Their office works seemlessly and they keep in good contact. Their tradesman was brilliant and kept me informed as to what the problem was and how we needed to solve the problem A+

Slate bathroom tiles refreshed really well – Guys did a great job- a little confusion initially with the job date but once that was cleared up all went smoothly. Technicians were polite, on time and kept us informed of progress. We’re really happy with the result.

Would give 0 if possible - complete disrespect – Paid for new grouting and sealant in my bathroom. It's been a terrible like 6 months with your service. First the guy makes a mess of my bathroom and you send him back to not even finish the job. completely ignore me (including with the so-called 'boss'). The new grout and sealant is a completely different white than the old grout and sealant and it's a very obvious difference where they didn't go all the way up the wall, looks awful. Do Not recommend, waste of time and money. Should be ashamed of their quality of service and a rip off. And asked me to send the same photos a million times was disheartening. I've been more than patient with you guys before writing this review.

too rough on it and not cleaning my shower. He asked me to provide him copies of my cleaning invoices and photos of every bathroom to compare. Which I did. After 3 weeks of me chasing him up he finally booked a time in and then no one showed up after I waited at home all morning. I rang the main number that day and someone said they would follow it up and get back to me and I never heard from them. The poor tradesman that does the work was polite and hard working, and is let down by a very disorganised bunch of people or system that don’t know what they are doing and are certainly not customer focused. Would not recommend the Gold Coast branch at all.

Did Great Job – Arrived late but did a thorough job of cleaning grout throughout our house, as good as new in most places. Couldn't use the strongest chemicals due to my wood trims but instead scrubbed them clean which was a lot of work for them. Hopefully sealer works and prevents them from getting so dirty again. Good work and looks great now – The guy came to do the cleaning and sealing was very nice and did the job delicately. Although he accidentally damaged 2 of my plant pots, but they were unstable and sitting on the feet. He managed to clean up and seal the area properly. Extremely happy with the service provided! – Technician arrived on time, explained the process, was polite and even helped me to move the furniture. My 20 year old tiles have come up as new, i am extremely happy with the service provided by the technician & would highly recommend them for cleaning of tiles. Disgusting – Live in ACT- I phoned The Tile Cleaners Canberra to look at our outdoor tiles, they don’t come to your residence, instead asking for photos and also measure the area I wanted treated, explaining not sure if they are porous or not. was not happy and wanted them to come and inspect area, tried calling lots, sent several emails to no avail. Staff in office just answer phones and guess what tiles you have. Eventually getting through to someone, explaining the issues, with them sending same people out again. Oh yes had argument with fellow in office accusing me of not sending photos or email fast enough and was very very rude into the bargain. Our outdoor tiles are worse and uglier now with the two treatment than they were before they started.. Absolutely disgusting, I have to buy a huge outdoor rug to cover the patchy insipid work that has been done. I should have left them as is. My biggest regret is getting Tile Cleaners Canberra to do the job. Honestly how do they know what condition peoples tiles are in over the phone or from photos?????? I DO NOT and WILL NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone. So all I can say be very WARY of Tile Cleaners Canberra, make them look at your tiles before accepting their quote . DISAPPOINTING and a complete waste of money. They advertise AUSTRALIA’S LEADING CARE SPECIALISTS, I don’t think so.

I contacted 3 local companies for comparative quotes- the job had slightly changed with no repairs or holes needed- I contacted Tile Cleaners QLD and Brisbane Tile Restoration- BOTH OF WHICH are totally different websites, different staff, different phone numbers- In no way portrayed to also be the same company as StoneMasters. (they are all the same company- they just dont tell you) When I phoned Brisbane Tile Restoration in 2021- the scope of works I phoned them with was not the same as it was when I phoned StoneMasters in 2018- At no point did the person at BTR tell me they were the same company and they were pulling up details from 2018 and not even listening to me in 2021. They came to site on the day and could not carry out the required works because of the vanity and toilet being in place. (This was discussed before it was installed- and their staff member Ben told me to go ahead and have the items installed- as their staff had the tools to "work around them". I paid someone to have the items installed. Only to have Tile Cleaners contractor attend to site to say that he could not carry out the job at all. ON TOP OF THAT- this business wanted to keep my deposit. They harrassed me, accused me of lying? (so what? so that I could NOT have my bathroom completed and put up with their abusive staff?) Fair warning: These businesses are a total scam. They are ridiculously rude and deceptive. They tell you one thing- and then when you prep as they advise- they don't do the work, they blame you- and keep your deposit.

told there was little they could do unless we wanted to take them to court. In the end- we just had to move on and try to forget about the waste of time and effort. Truly terrible and so stressful and disappointing. Surely the positive reviews must be fake- no one could be impressed by these clowns!

Beware, this company goes by many names, all dodgy – I used them as Tile and Grout Pro. Fair Trade and ACCC currently investigating them. Beware. They don't use professionals just subcontractors who don't know what they are doing. They sell their 'deepshield' sealer online too which doesn't work.

2nd time and it was better than the first – After a great first experience using tile cleaners, we decided to award them the work of our slate indoors and outdoors of our forever home and work was amazing. It’s made such a massive difference and we are even more in love with our new house than before. Top work guys keep it up, I will recommend to my mates which will be easy as they will see the results at regular bbqs we host  Show reply

2 from 2 for these guys. That’s 100% – I had a technician come in and strip and seal our slate at the beach house after the job the previously did was so good. Once again they have exceeded my already high expectations. The slate had some been hit hard with damage from salt and beach elements and has now come up looking amazing. Extremely disappointed. Badly marked after 15 months. Going to Dept of Fair Trade requesting full refund – We had our kitchen marble benchtop and balcony tiles sealed when new before we moved in. We expected this to prevent marks. We constantly clean up any spills - never any wine or coloured liquids. After 15 months looks awful. They will never stop sending you spam after 8 years!! – truly a disgusting company I simply got a quote 8 years ago and I have requested them to stop sending me email spam countless times. Do not use this company – My backyard makeover has been tainted by the bluestone pavers around my swim spa after sealing are now multicoloured (light shades of grey, dark shades, spider web pattern on some, white patches on some and some with sealer drips running down the sides of the pavers and onto upper part of spa shell). sealer was used first. When this did not provide the desired finish I complained. I asked the manager to visit to see in person. Instead the same guy came back and I agreed to a gloss sealer in hope it would at least provide an even finish and colour and fix the reported issues. It did not. This was over 5 months ago now and as we are now coming out of COVID I feel others should be forewarned about not using this company. I will be seeking the expertise of another company now to see what can be done to hopefully rectify the mess.

third appointment time. I have called them several times this morning, with a different person answering every time, if they do answer the call. If I do get through, they say they’ll be calling me back but don’t. They sound disorganised and very unprofessional, in fact they were quite rude on the phone. I’ve given up with this company, I wouldn’t trust them to do the job. I can see from others reviews that unreliability is a problem with this company, and the customer service are very slow at responding. They have totally lost my trust, they are a joke!!!!

Terrible Customer Service – These guys seem fine when things go their way, but are terrible at dealing with problems. I complained back in January that re-grouting that was done by them in September was failing. Emails were ignored and they rarely managed to return phone calls. It took 5 months, two visits from the original contractor (during one of which they did at least redo the grouting a second time), and dozens of emails and phone calls for them to offer to discount the retiling that was now required by the original amount paid for the regrouting, only for them to then give me a ridiculously high quote for that work (that they then couldn't/wouldn't explain). At this point, I've requested a refund and they now don't seem to want to answer emails again.
