Beautiful in every aspect – I had searched for my dream comfort car for 2 years, I tried every hatch/sedan from every dealer within my budget of 21k, nothing was ever good, let’s see what was wrong. 1. I have pudendal neuralgia, every part from below my waist has a problem of it’s very own, it’s also a very rare condition and I hate that I had the misfortune of being born… Read more ·  1

with it, but life. Anyways seats! most were super uncomfortable, some flared me up within 5 minutes of sitting down, it was disastrous.

2. Inner cabin claustrophobia! was the next issue, could barely see out the windows, it was very dark inside and in one my head was touching the ceiling like argh!

3. Power, okay not a biggie, but weak cars just feel nasty haha, so it needed some power.

4. Feels like your driving around in a box and a very light one, like you could tip over at any moment. Cheap plastic look and feel included.

5. Satellite options a must in case cellular devices break or maps won’t load, also access to music from IPad to car.

Now some of these don’t look like issues, their not, some are preferences.

So the number 1 issue here is seats, this version of Corolla was the best one, the seats were perfect and I could sit on the seat itself without needing those IKEA cushions. I’ve also found it is the longest I can go without needing to get up, at around 3 hours. Our other car that we use for mainly town driving I need a cushion for and last 2 hours max before my issues start issuing.

It’s pretty powerful for 1.8 petrol and it’s quiet spacious and not at all claustrophobic. The back windows are darker which is nice, it has weather shields these work great, but can cause some whistling sounds. Reversing camera is great, no reverse beeping though a shame, IPad to car music, sat nav etc etc.

What I love the most though which at first I wasn’t too keen on, when I got the car I loved the colour already, but in the 2 years I searched for it, I didn’t, it kind of grew on me. Anyways it’s a bright yellow/green and it is awesome!

Probably the only bad faults are the lights, they are weak and if not set high, they barely light the road up, high beams however no problems.

All in all a really good car and am still after all this time loving it.

Corolla-ing along! Oh What a Feeling! – We wanted a small, reliable, run about, that was still big enough for a family of 4 (2 Adults, 2 Primary School age kids). The Corolla fits the bill perfectly but may gets a little squeezy in the back when the kids near their late teens. It is fairly cheap to run and gets reasonable economy considering it generally does a lot of small trips.… Read more

When it has been taken on extended trips the economy becomes even better.

As per usual with Toyota it isn't the cheapest in its class and doesn't have all bells and whistles of others but the value in its reliability and durability, and good re-sale value.

Has some handy tech but doesn't have Apple Car Play or Android.

Also doesn't have Sat Nav, but from my understanding the maps outdate very quickly and Google Maps on your Smart Phone is a better option.

Capped price servicing of $140 for three years is drawcard also.

Interesting point to note is that Toyota seem to have removed a lot of the model badging on Corolla (and other models too). So it is not always obvious which exact version you have.

2015 Corolla - a big disapointment. Big problems that Toyota know of but won't listen! – In March 2015 my family atarted to slowly look to purchase a new car and ended up purchasing a new Toyota Corolla Accent Sport ZRE182 in May 2015. We purchased it as they are historically a good reliable vehicle with good resale value. We also liked the look of it, especially the metallic orange. Let me say it handles very well with plenty of… Read more

pickup for a 1.8 motor. We are pleased with the handling (I actual reckon it is the best handling car I have owned), fuel consumption and it perkiness around town.

Despite me loving the handling, that is about where it ends.

We have owned the car now for over 2 years and it has done approx. 26,000 kms.

We have had the car back for numerous times during it small life regarding wind noise through all 4 doors! Yes all 4 doors. It starts off at around 60kms, then when you hit approx. 80, it is a lot nosier...then at 100 plus, turn up the radio, LOUD! It has been in no less than about 6 times, at two different locations. At first they could not find it. I pushed and pushed then they changed the seals and they said they tried everything, but it did quieten it down for a short time, Then it came back with vengeance. I have googled this problem and it seems to be a design fault with hundreds of unhappy owners commenting on it. Not just in Australia, but the USA and around the world. Google it! See for yourself! DESPITE Toyota knowing of this problem and denying any problem, they did not rectify the problem in the new one! Purchasers of new Corollas, expect the same from all 4 doors!

But there's more... the CVT transmission revs! Yes really Revs.

Another problem we have reported is when the car warms up, going down a hill the CVT or car computer will rev the motor up past 4,000 revs, even if you are going slow. Toyota again has pushed this aside saying nothing is wrong. But apparently the car is supposed to rev over 4,000 revs because the engine/CVT is trying to slow down the car by dropping 'gears'! WOW! I'm dismayed with this.

This Bluetooth on car is next to useless and does not always connect to the phones. It is also developing dash rattles.

The paint, love the color but the paint is also sprayed very thin on the car and RUBs OFF of the car, eg side of the door. Not chips, cracks etc, but 'rubs off'. I have even been told by the service manager at Toyota that the paint they use on them is real thin.

I am having to get bits an pieces repainted because of the rubbish paint that Toyota uses! The paint place loves Toyota and a few other manufacturers as they give him more work!

For the quality that is expected from Toyota and their flagship car, and being brand new and with the car being treated very well, I am very disappointed with car that is supposed to be the best small car.

My family will not buy another Toyota and in fact for our second car recently purchased a Mazda 3. Now that's a car. Why didn't I purchase one of these originally.

Back on track...the services have generally has been pretty good from there service disappointment but I am started to be treated as a 'leper' now and was basically quickly pushed out the door why the service team at Canberra Toyota as they do not want to hear my concerns once again, maybe because it is in front of other customers! They just don't want to know.

I was also supposed to get a loan car today, but guess what, nothing! I had to ring someone up last minute to come pick me up.

Very unhappy.

I give it a two star because I love the handling.

"Oh what a feeling.............of gastric diarrhea" with Toyota and their flagship car. What an expensive lemon!

Best hatch and great value. Good size and good equipment included – This is my daily drive. So easy to drive. Big enough for 4 adults. The back row for 3 adults will be a bit small for long drive. Booth is very good size. Yes, some other hatch may have bigger booth size. But if you are looking for very big booth, look for a bigger car. When put down back row seat. Service my car every 6 months. I think it’s good for most car to do this just to keep the the engine in good condition. CVT need to get use to. The first few months is feel different to traditional automatic transmission, however once you get used to it then you will know how to adjust it with your acceleration pedal to get the most out of it. Fuel consumption is reasonable good, I think is the best when you are doing 80 km/h. It’s got enough power for me. I driven V6 etc before. So that i’m not comparing it with those. Power delivery on overtaking is reasonable good and I’m very happy about it. Air conditioning is very good, however if there is outlet for the backseat will be even better.

I have the car serviced as per the log book scheduled, and have never had a fault mentioned about the car. That is with mechanics separate of Toyota as well. Plastic fantastic – 2016 Corrolla is a nice looking car on tje outside however its seats are very uncomfortable unless you are an adult that is not more than 70kgs with a smaller frame. For the price that you pay it is lacking in technology which is very sad to see especially when the competitors are the likes of hyundai, mazda etc... If the price was around 5k… Read more

deliberately did not purchase the option with the inbuilt GPS as the Bluetooth setting means I can easily use Google Maps to navigate.
