I asked for my account/plan to be terminated as I no longer need it. At the end of the call, I asked the agent to confirm that 1) my account is terminated and 2) I would no longer be charged for the following month. She confirmed both and I thanked her for helping me. This happened on 3rd of July 2026. Fast forward to today 15th of July, I… Read more
received an invoice from TPG for the following month stating that I need to pay. Checking my account, it looks like it is still active despite confirmation with the agent.
TPG support is disappointing and frustrating.
I am extremely disappointed with TPG’s service. My bill was paid on 8 July, yet my internet stopped working shortly afterwards. It’s unacceptable to charge customers on time but fail to provide the service they’re paying for. I contacted customer support expecting a clear explanation and a prompt resolution. Instead, I was passed around with… Read more
vague responses, no accountability, and no actual solution. It felt like they were avoiding the issue rather than helping me fix it.
Reliable internet is essential, and this experience has been incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. If you’re happy to take customers’ money, you should also provide reliable service and competent support when things go wrong.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend TPG. The poor customer service and lack of urgency in resolving issues have been very disappointing.

Don't sign up for this product. It is nothing but ongoing trouble. TPG support can't help with the numerous issues with it and their customer service staff can't keep their stories and reasons straight. It is a scam to get you to sign up, take your money and then get you to switch to a more expensive service. It is so cheap because it is useless. Don't do it!

I first used TPG when I was in Perth in 2011 and had a good experience. Fast forward to 2026 and Im using home 5G internet. About 2 years ago I was getting very slow speeds and after many calls I think they bumped up my speed in the background and this fixed the problem. For the last 12 months its been dropout. I run my Foxtel 4 box via the… Read more
internet and there are many freezes or drop outs using TPG. Even the better buffering Youtube on my computer will stop. Note I'm not a gamer and there is rarely more than one device on at home. The issue is not speed so much as stability/latency/ping. See attached and the TPG service always comes back as BAD. Many calls to TPG has not fixed this. What is really frustrating is the "Ill get a specific tec to call you back" does not happen. Last week I tried to cancel my plan, the tec could not transfer me to accounts, said they would call back within 20 mins, and no call comes! I also had a case where they were double billing me and this was a ding-dong to sort out.

I signed up with TPG for their 5G Broadband service and it has been nothing but problems. They somehow managed to open two accounts for the same property and charged me twice. Trying to sort this out with their overseas customer support was a nightmare – long wait times, staff reading from scripts, and no real solutions. The cheap pricing looks… Read more
attractive at first, but it’s honestly just a trap. TPG uses Vodafone’s network and assured me I had strong 5G coverage in my area. They recommended the 5G Premium plan, promising speeds of up to 100 Mbps. In reality, the service constantly drops out, making it impossible to rely on for business or even basic streaming.
Every time I called, the only advice they gave was to move the modem closer to a window. That’s not a proper fix and certainly not what you expect when you’re paying for a premium plan.
This service has cost me time, money, and caused endless frustration. It’s unreliable and misleading. I honestly don’t understand how a company can continue operating like this in Australia. The ACCC and ACMA really need to step in and investigate their practices.
Save yourself the stress and avoid TPG 5G Broadband.

POSITIVE - Switching from NBN 50/20 to 5G Home Plus. - Very quick modem delivery and activation, 1 day. - Follow-up call to customer before terminating NBN service. NEGATIVE - The Nokia Fastmile Modem/Gateway 3.2: - Internet connections were unstable and dropped off while the modem's 5G signal indicator was GREEN and Wifi connections were… Read more
STRONG. - The modem needs to be manually rebooted everyday or two to do its jobs.
POSITIVE - Switching back to NBN: - The switch back process went smoothly with an-hour call because my NBN was still active. - TPG sent me 2 e-mails and 1 SMS to confirm that the 5G home plus was cancelled and I was back to the existing NBN plan and TPG WILL email me for a LABEL and instructions to return the modem.
NEGATIVE - Customer Support/Service: - TPG Support did NOT inform me when they had a technical problem on generating the RETURN-LABEL. - They did NOT reply my email reminding them of the label and instructions. - The support representative, HARSH, DISREGARDED my Customer/Case Reference Number and simple inquiry: "I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE EMAIL FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO RETURN THE MODEM and I HAVE the CRN". - She was very rude, incapable for customer service and wasted too much time for both TPG and the customer on a very simple status check-up. She should have taken the CRN, checked for its status and said: "I am so sorry for your inconvenience, Sir! We have had a problem generating the return-label. We'll email/contact you within 24 hours and please disregard the previous email." - It's funny that she changed her tone more politely AFTER I asked for HER NAME and the call reference number: 77284446 at 2:50pm this afternoon 23/05/2025. - TPG SHOULD NOT send the email about the returning date DEAD-LINE before sending the RETURN-LABEL. This is EMAILING SYSTEM DISORDER and TPG has to take it seriously.
Please keep it in mind that: "It takes 12 GOOD customer services to balance out 1 BAD one."
This review is solely on customer service, the hardware and connection was average; irregular drops outs from time to time. Asked to terminate account due to unavailability at new address. Called it through on last grace day (no less than 7 days from billing cycle). Explained it to frontline staff, got handballed to a supervisor, repeated same… Read more
content. He flagged it for the following day, triggering the policy for payment for the following billing cycle. I was then emailed a request for next billing cycle payment (ending 13 March 2025). With confirmation of termination of that date. A couple of days later, email request for return of hardware to be made prior to 28 Feb 2025 or non-return fee be charged (over $400); which coincides with the original requested date. Called and asked why I would return the hardware two weeks prior to end of service? I was reassured I would not be charged for holding it till then, and the frontline staff sent an email to confirm, but it would not be an official TPG email. Same day, after the call, another email telling me I would be charged if hardware wasn't returned. Called again closer to the day, they were aware of the situation, but this time I was told I would be charged the non-return fee; but they would put in a request to maintain the connection to the later date. They actually said their request might not get actioned, and to return the hardware anyway. I am beside myself, this is called a business? I will be returning the hardware as requested, go without internet to the end of that cycle, and be on the safe side. Hoping very much the new service provider will make up for the loss.

Very Happy – I signed up to the TPG 5G Broadband as my previous provider keep putting their prices up. I was supplied a Nokia Fastmile 3.2 5g modem from TPG and I have been using the modem for about a week. I have a strong 5G signal at my place and I have about… Read more
11 devices connected. I'm getting download speeds of around 200mbps and upload speeds of around 15mbps and I couldn't be happier. The TPG 5G plan is cheaper than my other providers NBN plan and I'm getting faster speeds.
Follow-up · Still going well. I probably have to restart the modem once every 4 months due to a lost connection but apart from that speed is still very good.

last 2-3 years. After enjoying this new-found speed I called TPG customer service to cancel the 4g wireless plan I had with them. It all went so smoothly. I could not fault the process. Delighted with my new 5g service. In the 30 hours that I have been connected there have been no connectivity issues.
Follow-up · Indoor coverage is fabulous. The modern is in one of the bedrooms, out of the way and provides a strong signal throughout my home. I have between two and four devices connected at any one time. All have plenty of bandwidth to function fully.

Have had the service since December and have experienced no unsolved problems. Get relatively consistent speeds for both down- and up-loads. Reasonably priced plans, never had any issue and my customer service calls were always picked up right away. Unfortunate that our new place doesn't have any network that TPG covers. Show details

I have have tried easily 6-7 NBN providers since Yr 2020. This I would rank TPG as one of the worst in terms of service/reception. This even with me comparing TPG's NBN 500 with my previous telco plans (NBN 25, NBN 50 mostly). The internet service is intermittent especially during peak periods. I have not seen that many scrolling/buffering… Read more
sign or outright no signal on my internet TV as much as I did with TPG. No option to terminate other than calling their customer service. Be aware also that the telco needs 30 days notice to port out.

It came with the promise of better speeds and a reliable service and it's been neither. We constantly lose internet connection or else it runs so slow it's unusable. I've seen many one-star reviews, and I can understand why: their call centre staff seem to be under unfair pressure, including pressure to keep calls short. In other words, the staff may actually be far more competent than their job allows them to be. Probably the service is good enough when your customer query is standard, but anything… Read more
deviating from what they're used to throws up problems--and that could be a problem emanating from inadequate training.
About six weeks ago, a call I made to fix an accounts problem ended in me going without their service for four or five weeks--during which time I used the hotspots on my devices; which I found to be only a little slower, and a not-as-generous (but adequate) download limit. In fact I enjoyed using the hotspots almost as much as if I'd been using TPG's 5G Broadband Premium plan; there was little difference in speed, except when downloading.
All-in-all, I find TPG better than Tangerine; and better than 'Aussie Broadband'.
I tried "Aussie Broadband" because I felt I'd get better service from Australian staff based in Australia, for example, better English--but it was not to be, not even after I gave them repeated chances.

I told them that i had already done that with first level and that told them I asked for service to be disconnected 4 times. I then hung up. I then received a bill for the next period which I expected and was ok with. Then the next month I received a subsequent bill. I rang TPG up again and explained the situation. After discussion they agreed to refund the 2 months. They told me to send back the 5G internet or they would charge me the cost of the modem. all good I sent back the modem. TPG does not offer the stability and reliability to keep me as a long term customer.
Example I called customer service, the service member who took my call listened and asked if I could wait while she tried to find out some details; then placed me back in the call queue. Spoke to customer person #2, who then apologised that her computer system wasn't working, asked me to hold, and after 5 mins asked me if she could call back as she couldn't get her computer to work. I asked to be placed back in the queue.

Signed up for their 500nbn service, an entire month later I had to cancel, completely fustrated and annoyed. We did not get a single day of internet as they couldnt get multiple issues resolved with the NBNco. Even after the NBN team came out, we still had no service. When I called TPG they said they had to arrange for NBN to come out again to fix the issue. TPG is the worst company ive dealt with on par only with origin. Avoid TPG if you can. Show details
