Honestly, I'd leave zero stars if possible. Absolutely disgusting and im furious! Given the run around with transferring locations. Given the run around trying to cancel the relocation. I have been paying 74 for almost 1 year and it’s one of the worst customer service I experienced.the internet speed vs the amount I paid for the internet connection it was not worth and I felt I was scammed. These [Content Removed] cancelled Email to all TPG customers, still feeling the repercussions 2 years later. Anyone asks me about internet, I tell them consider all EXCEPT TPG. Cancelled and then they had the nerve to pull the old clause from the hidden archives and charged us another month. If you like getting reamed go for it. Show details

Better options out there. Use TPG as last resort. (Rockbank/Aintree VIC area) – I used TPG for over 5 years. shortlist was: 1. Aussie Broadband (same 12mbps for $59) - high online reviews (4.5 stars on this site). My neighbour, who also switched from TPG, swears by them. 2. Tangerine (25mbps for $60) - higher speed for the same price. It's actually $50 for the first 6 months. 4.1 stars on this site. 3. Spintel (25mbps for $60) - higher speed for same price, but no 6-month promo. 4.1 stars on this site.

I am now with Tangerine and the speed is noticeable. Why was I paying TPG the same amount for unreliable service and lower speeds?! Aaaaaaaaaargh!

Time will tell if Tangerine is reliable, but it's been good so far (see speedtest photo). I've vowed to do a regular review of all my utility providers henceforth. Thanks, TPG, for the lesson learned.

TPG is rated 1.9 stars on this site for a reason. Go with them if they are your only good option where you live.

Garbage customer service, took 24 days to set up – Anyone considering TPG, look elsewhere. I’ve opened an account at the start of November and had to wait till late November to get the service I paid for. don’t have to deal with you, and you guessed it, they won’t call you back. And after waiting 1 month to get the service I paid for, it’s not unreasonable to ask for the first month to be waived, these animals offered me $10 off my next bill.

NBN Cable keeps getting cut – 9 Months of temporary repairs to NBN cable actually laying on the footpath. (Yes - "Repairs" as in Plural and "Temporary" )TPG does nothing. NBN are impossible to contact. Takes a week each time to get fixed. Then the repair only temporary until cable is cut once more. TPG Heaps better than Optus – I chose to go with TPG because it is easy to get tec help quickly. This was impossible with Optus. It took me three days to get through to a person at Optus, and she hanged up on me. Really??? That's when I changed. TPG are friendly and prompt to deal with. Show details

Very reliable services – Had been with TPG NBN for two years and had no issues with the connection. Only a few dropout due the network maintenance in the area, but was notify by TPG well in advance. Never had to wait for long to speak with a TPG assistance staff and the assistance team was very patient in guiding through the process required / very prompt in responding to resolve my issues. 5 Star to TPG Support / NBN Service Delivery Team. Show details

hopeless experience with staff and deal – TPG is dishonest and a complete waste of time as a serious internet company to bother with. They claim that all local calls are free with the deal you get for NBN and home phone. However they are not free because the most important companies you need to deal with such as water, energy and gas amongst many others are all on 13 or 1300 numbers and… Read more

you cannot call these numbers with a TPG account. They will tell you that you need to add extra credit to your monthly charge if you want to use the service. But if you read the fine print, in fact topping up your credit will still not allow you to make a 13 or 1300 number call. They have locked me into a 6 month contract, they are shysters and all I can say is a waste of time and money. Save yourself the stress and go with a proper company such as telstra or optus where you can do normal things such as making a local call to your necessary services. Not to mention that on 100mgbs my internet regularly drops out too.

Surely with a Ticket Number the information is located there. I’ve called TPG multiple times, spending about 30 minutes on hold each time since 03.12.2024 and still ongoing. They promised to call me back at specific times but failed to follow through. When I did get through, they redirected me between departments, stating that a technician was supposed to handle it—only to put me on hold again for another 30 minutes. The issue is still unresolved. I’m unable to browse any websites. So far I have had 2 NBN technicians and 1 TPG technician came to my home and still the issue is ongoing. Now I have been told they want to send another TPG technician. Each companies keeps shifting the blame on the other. TPG Modem replaced, NBN connections and NBN box replaced. What will they be replacing next? It seem this issue cannot be resolved. They are happy to take my money but provide a substandard service. The level of service has been not only disappointing but zero.

They Can't Even Give You an E-mail Address – I have been with TPG for many years and although they are not perfect, they at least provided me with an e-mail address. However in 2024, they sold off their e-mail service to The Messaging Company and if I wanted to keep my old TPG e-mail address, I would have to pay The Messaging Company a monthly subscription. Dishonest Practices – After being a customer for 8 years, I’m thoroughly disappointed with TPG dishonest practices. They provide only 22 days' notice before increasing fees and then require 30 days' notice to cancel, or you'll face a cancellation fee. How is that fair? had to increase my data allowance for my mobile phone telco just so my work isn't interrupted by this lousy bunch.

One instance a contractor removed a wire from our property, it took TPG over 5 weeks to troubleshoot this.

Now my internet has been cutting in and out for weeks and there's no fix.

Seam to be ok satisfactory then get an email prices going up so decided going to change, so I did then when I called back to cancel service at the end was told I would be charged a $72 cancellation fee for not telling them 30 days when singing up was not told at all I was told no contract cancel at any time nothing further, so I blew up if I knew that would never have singed up and will be taking this further. They quickly changed their tune and waved the cancellation fee doggy as they will try to get away with ripping people off unless you ark up stay way from this company at all costs

won’t ask me something else. I HAVE TO give them copies of my drivers licence.

Well that’s okay, I just don’t want to and I don’t consent. We can’t do business together… NO. I can’t close my account, I can’t do anything until I provide the id.

As you swallow your pride and take photos of your id it tells you to tick a box saying you consent to this information being used however tpg want. You have to tick a box and consent to something you do not consent to so you can cancel your account and stop them taking your money.

It’s a violation of privacy and it’s forced. There is no way to not consent because none of the staff will process your cancellation request if you don’t confirm a text message code. And the only reason I can’t confirm the text message code is because tpg have the wrong number for me and won’t let me change it.

One star after one star review for this company. Arrogant and invasive and will not listen to their customers. You do as they say or you leave. Except you can’t leave either.

Lack of Service – Service did not work. Put in two service requests and did not receive a response to either. Decided to cancel the service via website. Continued to be charged after expiry of 30 day notice period. When i called TPG about this they had no record of the cancellation or service requests. Horrible service making me furious! – absolutely disgusting service. our wifi modem broke and it’s been months and we’ve had to call multiple times. They’ve said 4 times that a new modem is being dispatched and messed it up each time. We’ve now spent hundreds of dollars on data plans which are crucial because we are year 12 students and hospital workers. Terrible – Expensive and slow. I cancelled the internet and they charged me for one more month of internet fee because I didn't give them 30 DAYS NOTICE before I cancel it. connection/error” messages. Internet speed tests indicate a whopping 0.08mbps upload and 0.02mbps download… when promised much more. My grandmother has more speed - she’s paraplegic. Highly highly recommended everybody stay clear from these buffoons.

This telecommunication provider is not fit to have a licence – I have three accounts with TPG which i intend cancelling in the short term. TPG, unlike all major properly run commercial organisations in Australian, will not be guided by legally binding commercial arrangements regarding bank account details. Show details
