Another dreadful Internet Provider. I sent two emails over about ten days and neither was answered. Service is slow and keeps dropping out or just lagging. I am only one user and yet they cannot dleiver a service that is reliable. Operators are not coherent and have bad accents. Another provider to avoid at all costs. Show details

Absolutely pathetic experience with TPG. I have been on the phone with them non stop for two weeks to resolve an internet outage issue. Transferred to multiple departments, no resolution. They had incorrectly recorded my personal details and had to jump through additional hoops to verify the mistake that they made in the first place! Meanwhile I… Read more
have been charged for a service that I can't even use. If I could give the rating a minus one I would. Issue still not resolved, no end in sight, and no internet.

Unreliable company – A few weeks ago I signed up for nbn for 6 months contract and yesterday I got email that my monthly pricing change and will increase by $5 a month from $74.99 to $79.99, they couldn’t let me know at the beginning that they will increase my monthly payment, so I would find something better than TPG. Great Company – We have been with TPG for many years and cannot fault them. We have been using both internet and landline phone services and have never had any problems with service interruptions. Also available with your account is an online TPG Post Office for all your emails. Show details

Excellent – The staff at TPG have all gone out of their way to be helpful, polite and friendly, I have nothing but praise for them.....thank-you everyone. I am very happy to have become one of their customers. :-) Show details
Great Service & Connection – Very impressed with TPG's customer service and NBN connection, we've only had a handful of dropouts. Mostly it's been very reliable. The call centre are always helpful and happy to resolve any problems. Show details
TPG is great, but the NBN is not. Get TPG 5G – NBN was not as reliable, as fast, or as cheap as my current TPG 5G connection. The service I received from TPG was impeccable. Show details · 1

Ooh TPG, just another useless but blood s#cker for Aussie local customers paying high price. I can personally describe their internet service as useless as 3rd world standard, not to mention their customer service call centre at overseas base is also bloody hopeless! Their NBN service was only up to reasonable speed in first month, after that it… Read more
turning into a useless cr#p! I called service centre and expressed my wish to cancel the service. That took me 3 days without any luck to get it cancellation done! It's hard to believe as they are still beating around the bush and trying to keep me on their customer list. ( Don't trust them for a second ) Their first solution was for me to upgrade my NBN package plan to achieve the higher speed! That was ridiculous. Today I called their customer service number again this morning, their hopeless response was - ' the customer service relation manager would call you back in between 24 to 48 hrs, yet we cannot cancel your for the time being. '
What a mafia business! They cannot just keep charging customers without follow customers instruction! That left me only option to close my credit card account and stop being charged again with their crappy NBN service! Be careful with this telecommunication company!

AVOID THIS COMPANY! I called up to sign up for their nbn 25 service and ordered a modem. Even after 48 hrs after placing the order and numerous calls involving wait times over 20-30 minutes each time and passing on to different service personnel, my modem has not even been dispatched. I received an email saying it will be dispatched in 2-3… Read more
business days and will take an additional 2-5 business days after dispatch. All of this means that I might get a modem in 10 days. The only reason I am buying a modem from them is so that the service is fully compatible with their modem (basically so that they can't give an excuse that the modem is not fully compatible as its from a third party).
Update: they charged me another $76 just because I was unhappy with their service and wanted to terminate early. Avoid this company if your money doesn't grow on trees
Wish I could give negative stars

Stay away TPG as they always tried to steal your money when you try to change your plan or your cancel the service . Tpg is prepaid service, I paid 1 month ahead $74.99 on 19/09/25 for period 19/09/25 to 19/10/25, I cancelled non contract nbn plan on 22/09/25 and rang again to finally successfully cancelled on 29/09/25. Do not trust TPG replied, they supposed to pay me back 20 days rather tried to withdraw money from my account.

This has been the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I will probably only get this resolved when the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) intervenes on my behalf.
If I could give zero stars I would. Had issues with internet dropping out for a couple of hours in the middle of the day and sometimes at night. No response to any service queries on that. They then increased my monthly price, I queried this when the service wasn't consistent and received no response. Finally after two days of no internet at all a… Read more

TPG fraudulently took money from my bank account - still awaiting money owed. Please see initial review below. This is review number 8. waited an hour on hold. I spoke to a rep who advised she had created a case and the money would be refunded. After the call I realised I had a bank charge as TPG had taken the money from an account with no money in it. I called back to get this refunded, again waited an hour, and the representative advised that no action had been taken on the previous call and they had no record of the call. She also said she didn’t know a representative by the name I had been given and told me I should also have been given a case number. She apologised and promised both the money taken and the bank charge would be refunded. She gave me the case number #77083406 The following week the money taken was returned, but the bank charge was not. I called again and again waited over an hour. The rep was very unhelpful and unwilling to pass me directly to a manager, but after approximately 10 minutes agreed to. I spoke to a supervisor called Sandeep, case number #77157282 who advised the money would be in my account in 3-5 days. This was over a week and a half ago and no money has been deposited in my account. I will not be contacting TPG again and wasting more of my time, instead I will be completing a daily online review until the money hits my account and I receive an apology from TPG for their fraudulent activity and incompetent customer service. I recommend MATE internet which is where I have moved to. They have an Australian call centre and the customer service is great. AVOID TPG at all costs. Internet service is horrendous and their customer service is even worse.

I had been with TPG for over 12 years and I just felt bad for they have been charging me around $70 for years and recently increased to $80 for a 25/4mbps NBN. I have never been checking my account because I have trusted them, until I received a text message recently about comparing NBN prices. Then I found another provider for same product at $50 (not a promo). Show details

Buyer beware!! Alert re TPG’s Cancellation policy. Recently I called TPG to cancel my internet service (commenced in 2015) as their monthly costs had increased to $74.99 which, on comparison was expensive. My TPG monthly Pre-payment was due the following week and I requested due to the cancellation that my $74.99 Pre-payment not be processed. I… Read more
had already contacted another provider and commenced with them at a greatly reduced cost, plus they deducted a further $10 discount for the 1st 6 months. I was aware that if I called to cancel they would not charge an “Cancellation fee”. I was unaware that TPG has a 30 day notice of cancellation policy. So they processed the $74.99 for zero service, which sadly put my account into overdrawn, costing me another $15. I attached a photo of these 2 deductions and included it in my email to TPG as evidence. Being an Aged Pensioner, it is often challenging to navigate technological expectations. I then emailed my complaint. Their Customer Service Representative called and had limited interest in my concern reiterating their “30 day cancellation policy”. A very unfortunate financial consequence after being their customer for nearly 10 years, apparently means nothing and they will have that very last Pre-payment, knowing I had a new provider. Again, decisions made where BIG tech dominates.
Frustrating service. I rang customer service 1 week prior to moving house so that i get internet when i move in. But its been 3 days i am without internet. I am extremely frustrated, i did lodge a complaint but no response, multiple attempts to resolve via phone not very good staff. I have never experienced this bad customer service. Now i am thinking of switching to another service provider. TPG please do care about your customer.

One of the worst Internet company's in Australia. This company's offerings are not competitive at all and when i called them to cancel my subscription they started demanding to know why I wanted to cancel and tried to put me on a wild goose chase to their technical team to sort out an issue (that I never had in the first place). Then finally… Read more
when they transferred me to the cancellation team, they try again and again to convince me that I need to stay. I'm like "No mate, I don't want your internet anymore" and they had the gall to ask "why?". The behavior of the customer service team is dismal and borderline confrontational.
They then proceeded to read out a long spiel on how I would have the cancellation effected form today but would still be charged for the full month regardless. I said "hang on, you should either be charging me for the days with internet or extend the period to cover the subscription end date" to which they replied that they would send me an email to confirm.
Till now, I have not received any confirmation of cancellation which is downright dishonesty on part of TPG's staff.
Wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you want headaches.
Terrible teach support and customer service. I made a complaint (no internet) that was looked into but never received a proper response. mentioned, and they even blamed me for a faulty fibre-to-lounge connection. When I challenged that, they had me connect the modem directly to the fibre; with no connection, they claimed it was an NBN issue, and a technician later blamed the modem. TPG then informed me I was out of warranty and needed a new modem—even though I’ve had no internet since January 30th. They agreed to send one if I paid a $10 postage fee, i emphasised delivery in 1–2 days due to cyclone coming and the importance of having internet leading up to this disaster. They then called and chased me for the $10 postage as my card had expired. Even though it had expired they were still able to take 2 months worth of fees??? And a cancellation fee??? How do you explon that? Frustrated by being charged for postage when I had no service, I requested a refund for two payments and cancellation with no fees. Instead, they charged me a cancellation fee and have not confirmed the refund. I have made a dispute to my bank and also an official complaint to TIO.

Unreliable Internet and Poor Customer Service – My experience with TPG has been disappointing. While the helpdesk tries to assist, their explanations often feel inconsistent and don’t align with the responses from the customer relations team. When I’ve raised… Read more
complaints, they seem to do some work in the background that temporarily resolves the issue, but the same problems return after a while. It’s also been frustrating that the matter can't be escalated to a team lead, and emails or calls from case officers are often ignored or not addressed properly. There’s a lack of consistency and communication between phone operators, case officers, and engineers. Overall, not a great experience.
After agreeing to mediation as suggested by the Product Review team, I was disappointed with TPG’s response. Instead of genuine engagement, I received an automated, generic message that felt impersonal, almost as if it came from a bot. I responded, requesting private communication directly with TPG or via my personal email, but my request was not accommodated.
Hoping for better service, I sent another message highlighting the poor customer service from TPG’s customer relations team which went unaddressed. Mediation ultimately failed due to TPG’s lack of engagement, so I am now sharing my experience here.
Poor service no responsibility taken – Atrocious customer service. internet problems for over 10 weeks. one week without internet and almost daily dropouts or slow speeds since. issue to NBN. 4 techician home calls booked, 2 (50%) the technician didn't turn up, no message, nothing. That wastes a half day each time. Finally registered a complaint with the Telecom Ombudsman. Took TPG 2 weeks to phone me (admittedly over the Xmas period, so several non business days) as they didnt ring at requested times. The person i spoke to was unable to make any commitments or arrange reimbursement and kept suggesting i speak to customer service! End result; referred back to NBN again. Thats the fifth time around that circle. The fifth appointment with an nbn technician must have been given higher priority because a technician booked and turned up, on New Years day. This technician may have resolved the issue and its now been 36 hours without problem.
Its still poor service from tpg; neighbours with the same intermittent problem but different providers had technicians around within days of complaining (ie weeks earlier) and received an upgrade from their provider of fibre to the house at no cost, which solved the intermittent service issue. TPG simply kept throwing the problem back to nbn, until finally, 10 weeks later, the problem may have been fixed .

Don’t get TPG – Their customer service is one of the worst I have ever encountered they have an awful attitude and a whole new level of stupidity. STAY AWAY FROM TPG - customer service is non-existent – Should be zero stars. Internet was down last week and have been trying to get through to their technical support. There is none. No internet for 5 days and no technical support to look at the issue. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH TPG. You will regret it. Show details
