Hi,

Just purchased the Unident App Cam Solo 2K PT Kit. Been a real challenge getting it to work smoothly. Not a great experience so far.

Having constant connection issues sometimes even via wifi o my phone but mostly over remote cellular.

After doing multiple resets, reinstalls etc with no luck for remote cellular access, I decided to uninstall Android App and everything else. And restart from scratch. When I did this it started working ok for a little while over the next hour or so at home with my phone on wifi and cellular 4g connection.

But when I left home and tried connecting to it, 99% off the time it fails to connect. On very random tries it does connect.

If I restart my Samsung phone, and straight way try connecting to the camera it generally works once, on a new start. But then if I try to connect a second time it will not.

Camera is well within Wi-Fi signal range. About 20m from router during testing inside only so far. My phone shows full wifi signal, but camera only shows 2 bars of wifi signal. I wonder why the camera signal is so much weaker than phone?

Any help would be appreciated otherwise I am not convinced the Unident system is for me.

Hi Nate, I understand your concern and I do apologize for the inconvenience. How many devices in total connected to your network hardwired and wireless? Kindly try to test your network speed by doing a speed test. A possible reason why it is intermittent is if the network connection is unstable or if the bandwidth is not sufficient.

Have just purchased and set up a Uniden Guardian Solo PT kit and have installed the Android app on my phone, but would also like to have it set up on my laptop. Excuse my ignorance, but do I download the Android or IOS version to my laptop? I'm running Windows 10. Cheers Derek.

Dont know yet I need to do the same thing.I would hope you can so you can dowload clips onto a disk,rather than ph memory.Definately need to download what you want to keep because its wiped after 1 week from cloud regardless of how little is on there.Good luck.
