Service has become increasingly unreliable with service disruptions now up to 1-2 times a week with outages lasting days. Seems to be down more than its running. Speeds have been consistently slower than promised since the start and there has been nothing but denials and blame shifting. Its has become much harder to check outages and get updates, communication is delayed, near impossible to get onto support. Show details

needing the internet for so many important aspects to help us with our settling. If i had known and done intensive research i would not have chosen Uniti. I have paid in full incl the connection fees, have spent multiple hours of time on the phone with different technicians who unfortunately keep saying the same thing just to buy time. How frustrating!!! We are still waiting for the Field Technician to arrive. We have been without the internet (house) since we moved in on 02/02/2024.

As everyone wants you to complete actions/tasks on-line, we have had to hot spot off my phone and burn data to achieve normal living/business requirements. We have been spending way more than we budgeted for internet as we have no other alternative and i am at the point where i would not recommend Uniti.

We still do not have internet and having to wait for so long is such a shame. There is no clear explanation as to what is going to happen, the technicians do not offer any timelines and therefor it is very hard to plan with such poor service.

What make sit worse is that i have been schooled that that area we are living is new and there dont seem to be alternatives for internet and therefore we are suffering at the backdrop of Uniti and Opticomm's monopoly over the area.

Worst customer service who have no idea what they are doing – We have tried to have our house connected Opticomm for almost a year. The builder did not provide a conduit when they subdivided the block, but have finally run it to the garage side of the house. numerous occasions to meet technicians on site to explain the issue, but the staff keep bringing up the old connection point and have not organised this. I have no idea what to do. I can't even get through on their phone line as there are usually over 30 people waiting to discuss issues when I call.

cue was I even in - and do you eventually get booted off because there is no cue at this time because there are no staff working?

Also, the tech support person told me she could see there had been no service to the property for 2 months but they would only provide a credit from the time it was reported to the time it is fixed. Putting aside that I had been trying to contact them through their fake after hours support line for over a week, how is it ethical to charge for a service that you know you haven’t delivered because the customer had not yet cottoned in to the situation? Extremely poor customer service. I do not recommend!

keeping it running efficiently. Instead of my download and upload speeds staying consistent with what I am paying for they jump up high in the middle of the night and drop to that low to be ineffective in the evening when most people are using the service. Also their user portal now has no facility to check the connection and report a problem which used to result in a quick response from a technician. Now there is only a phone call for support that is never answered! I am now reluctantly in the process of changing to another Internet Service Provider.

is an utter joke. You can expect to wait at least 30 mins to speak to them and get the old 'have you tried switching it off and on again' type of support. Avoid them like the plague.

Worst product and customer service EVER – ******Do Not Sign Up With Uniti****** I have been with uniti for over 2 years with a fixed wireless service due to my units not having NBN. They sent no emails or sms to update on why this was. When you try to call they always have ques for hours.. you could be on hold waiting to speak to a customer service rep for as long as 3 hours for them to simply tell you that the tower has had an outage and cannot help in any way until this is resolved. But have no ETAs and do not do call outs to give you any updates. The last outage has left me without internet for 22 DAYS and they STILL have not resolved this. They have sent a couple of template messages saying 'there engineers have not been able to get on site' to fix the tower, but this has now simply been way too long. Each time I ring them I'm on hold for around 1 hr 30 mins then when I reach the customer service they 'have to transfer me to another department' as they can't deal with my issue. They say they put you in 'direct contact' but you end up in an even longer queue which bumps your hold time up to 3hrs plus just to be able to see what's going on with the status. Also usually around the 3hr mark the call will just randomly drop. They absolutely do not want to talk to their customers and It's simply unacceptable that they allow their customers to sit on hold wasting hours of their week to be able to get a service we still get charged for every month and it doesn't even work! They don't offer any compensation or alternatives to get you back online. I rarely make reviews in general unless I get outstanding customer service but they have given me no option as hard as I try to solve the issue they just don't have the answers, so I thought the next best thing is to warn others so they don't end up in the situation I find myself. They are without a doubt the worst internet providers I've ever used and would never recommend their services to anyone. If you want working internet and a good customer service shop elsewhere and do more research. Avoid avoid avoid avoid. absolutely disgusting company. You will regret it sooner or later.

UPDATE: Uniti have told us they will not be repairing our fixed wireless service and cancel our service. They did say there was an equipment failure at the access point so this area is being decommissioned. It took the 2 weeks to let us know. Thanks Uniti.......

the tower at Mt Lofty on Saturday and hopefully it would be fixed by tomorrow ( Wednesday ). How this has not been communicated with the affected customer base is mind boggling. In the past, messages had gone out via text of issues including updates. This time .... nothing ! The explanation I was given was that they were short staffed ( which seems to be a common excuse ) as well as they are migrating other customers to a new system & they are too busy to do that. It appears they would prefer to treat their customers with total disrespect and have them waste hours of their day frustrated & on hold. Now, there is still the issue of trying to run a business without a linked wifi system until tomorrow ... which I doubt will happen. If my business left somebody on hold for 3 minutes I would embarrassed. 3 1/2 hours ....... I doubt if management cares as this seems to happen to countless people. Previously I have had up to an hour wait time which, while frustrating, is manageable, sometimes with a call back service offered. Uniti no longer operates like the company that I have referred many people to. It would take 1 Person 5 minutes to place a notice on the front page of their website which would have saved me 3 1/2 hours !

2.5 hours on the phone this morning to be told that the internet should now be working and if it wasn’t then it was a problem from our end. I rang a company who came out to our house at a fee of $210. They could not fix it. Rang Uniti again tonight, another more than 3 hours on the phone to be told that the internet was NOT FIXED and in fact there had been a fire at the tower and it wouldn’t be back on for another 48 hours. $210 down the drain. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! If I could give a negative number of stars I would. Stay away from Uniti if you want to keep your sanity!!!

SCAMMER – They will send you a contract to sign which contains about 10000 words and in a tiny section it states “cancellation fees $350” or something along those lines. I email them to put my account on hold and I think they agreed on the phone but today I check my email and they’ve sent me an invoice of $423 for 3 months post requesting them about putting the account on hold. To top it all, we cant even login into our account ever since Harbour isp has been merged into Uniti. The login url shared in your email doesnt allow us to login into our account.

This is the worst service we have ever experienced.

If you dont resolve this asap and return our money taken from our bank account, we will go to Fair trading.
