Beware of ‘Velogear, Red Hot Agencies, and The Bicycle Store.’ It’s the same company just under different names and they still have bad reviews for either one. They are very difficult to deal with and from experience, have very bad customer service.
Velogear lie about the products they sell, provide incorrect contact details and do not respond to your queries. The product I received was not as I ordered and I have not been able to get a response. DO NOT BELIEVE, DO NOT BUY.

had all the included bits from factory so unsure what people were meaning when talking of dodgy. Postage was quite fast once it had been processed, my only complaint is the longish handling time but 3 days is pretty standard so im just nit picking.
Overall will definately be back for more products in the future the only thing i can suggest is just be paitent for the first few days.

Great price, a little slow to ship but all good – Really good discount, $650 for the latest $800 Magicshine 12000 lumen light. Took 5 days to ship but received all order emails, shipping notifications and tracking details. I chose not to panic like some of the reviewers and spam them with emails for delivery updates. up from Mon-Fri from 9am to 4pm. So I went there on a Tuesday 9am to pick up the helmet in their warehouse. To my surprise nobody was there, the place loomed abandoned. So I sent an email saying that I was there. Waited until 9:30am, nobody showed up so I sent another email saying that I was giving up and wanted a refund. Still waiting for nuts & bolts! – I bought two fire truck tandems bikes for my Grandson's. One package was damaged & sticky taped up. When we unwrapped it there was NO nuts & bolts to assemble the bike. It's been months now waiting for the missing nuts & bolts. Ally in customer service has informed me they were sent out and provided a tracking number which is incorrect.

My Burley Encore X dual child bike trailer arrived today-I love it! Although I received no order confirmation, I did hear from Australia Post a week after I placed the order that the item had been received by them and it was on it’s way. Extremely poor service. They sent me the wrong item. I tried to expedite the process by order the correct item again and asked to return the original. Instead my account was suspended and I am now out the price of the original item twice (ie $300). OMG should have read THIS FIRST! I ordered SEVEN items from VELOGEAR - nothing for weeks and weeks then (this was in late 2025) well into February I finally get a delivery - 2 items - NOT ONE OF THEM I ORDERED. Stay away, and FFS please read the reviews FIRST. Impossible to communicate with nothing but NOREPLY messages if any. Disappointed!
If I could only give negative stars. So slow to fulfil order I had to cancel. They then sent the order the next day. I returned order. They promised refund and have not processed the refund over 4 weeks later. Cannot contact. Phone disconnected. Changed their email address so emails bounced back. Save yourself the time and frustration and buy local.

I got a 16t cog for coaster bike. My bicycle hub failed last night as the cog slipped it's retaining ring. That means poor machining in effect. I fixed it but the fact is velogear sold me inferior product. Naughty.

this company simply isn’t reliable. I’ve already lodged a complaint and strongly recommend avoiding this business. I usually order online without issues, but this has been the worst experience I’ve had with an Australian-based company — something I’d expect from an unreliable overseas seller, not from here.
Ordered some tyres from them. My bank account was hacked three times in two days giving them my details. Order was sent and when it arrived the tyres were the wrong size. No way of contacting them for a refund/ exchange

Good service. Definitely not a scam – The parts/tools arrived as described and in good condition. Although shipping was a bit slow, it was within the advertised timeframe. Communication with Velogear was easy and a satisfactory response came in timely manner.
Don’t get what you pay for, poor service – I put an order through and didn’t receive part of it, they emailed me asking for more info then after I sent it off I didnt hear from them again, despite multiple attempts to contact them. I’m out of pocket and without gear. A waste of time and money - shop somewhere else.

Summary: Testimonials and Reviews on the Velogear Website significantly differ to Trustpilot and Product Review. Poor communication from Velogear. Dispatch and Shipping far exceeded the Velogear advertised times. I received the out-of-stock item from another supplier before the Velogear order. The items received were as advertised.
