paperwork were caused by us - our changes to contract. When we further shared our experience, he still insisted that they provide professional customer service and that there were no mistakes from their end. Our feedback was totally ignored and at the same time he insinuated that it was all our fault. Towards the end of prestart, we noticed on our addenda stating our tiles are not going to be mitred? (we are providing our own tiles, ventura to instal) This was not advised to us. They did not indicate this on the prestart. it was lucky we read the addenda thoroughly. After a few phone calls and conversations with their construction manager and gm, they continously insisted that our travertine tiles cannot be mitred. We know they can be mitred as we have built houses using these tiles! This was a stressful time. Our wet areas will look terrible if the tiles are not mitred. To try and rectify the problem, we offered to nominate our own tiler ... But they declined this- and would not let us remove the tiling on the contract. After weeks of debate, the construction manager finally said that they can now mitre the tiles! Wow! No apologies, instead we were sent a variation for extra charges to mitre the tiles! Furthermore- At slab stage, the slab ended up outside the building envelope. More dramas! By the way, we noticed this, not Ventura. It turned out that there were pegs on the wrong location! And they had the nerve to state that it was us/our contractors that moved the pegs! ... They blamed us! Before continuing with the construction, we had to apply to shire to amend existing building envelope, and obtain approval from our neighbours- which delayed the building process. But still, they insisted it was not their fault, and again there was no apology. Two weeks ago, after a site meeting with our supervisor, we submitted confirmation of aerial heights, GPO locations, & a couple of additional GPOs- as per the building supervisor's request. After a week and a half, they sent the variation for our approval, and there were mistakes. The following day we replied to ensure relevant items are corrected. After a couple of days, the GM replied with the amended variation on a late Friday afternoon (yesterday), saying we have to approve it by 8am Monday otherwise he will decline it! However there are still discrepancies on the variation. At some stage a few weeks ago, we mentioned our concerns on the earthworks. The GM advised this will be attended to. But afterwards he refused responsibility. This is still an outstanding issue, and not sure if we should just go to the Building Commission.

Awesome Home and Great Service – This was our second home built with Ventura and the quality was even better second time around. They delivered an awesome home and got us into the house super quick. Then service along the way was very professional and issues were dealt with very responsively and well. We love the design! Great job Ventura. little above budget, but the sales consultant went to great lengths to design a practically identical home for us by starting with a more affordable design and tweaking it to resemble what we wanted down to the finest details.

All stages of building were reached within days of when we were initially told they would be and the house was delivered when we were told it would. My hat off to the schedulers. Quality, professional, helpful.

helpful, especially when we had our own ideas and some definate ideas, he was able to work with the company's Designer to bring our ideas together and also offer some better ideas and improvements. Nothing was an issue and even though the design stage took awhile, it was all due to us wanting to have the perfect design. We are building a 400 square meter house so it is fairly involved and detailed. It certainly wasnt a conventional house and with some different building methods. All the same it has come together just as we envisaged.

The Pre construction meeting to select our finishes and colours etc went very well, again took longer than normal, however due to us ensuring that we had everything just the way we pictured. Once construction had started we were very happy and comfortable with the way the build was going to progress. Even though we called into the site every couple of days, we were always sent emails or received phone calls with up dates from our Client Liaison Officer who provided some general progress reports and dates of trades going to site. Majority of the time the dates were spot on, however we understand that time frames given are a guide only. The quality of construction has been great so far and we are at lock up, with the cabinets installed and the ceramic tiler has begaun. Several issues that either my wife and I have picked up with the construction has always been either rectified in a quick time frame, or the supervisor has indicated that it would be fixed and when it would be attended to if not straight away.

We understand that building a house, especially after having built several, can be very stressful and demanding at a personal level. We also understand that we are building a product that is man made and using natural products so unfortunately there will be issues with quality and time frames due to a mulitude of reasons. It is important to understand that quality concerns can be rectified and so far have never had any causes for concern that when we are asked to pay the final money and take possession of our house it will be completed to the normal high standard that Ventura Homes Deliver.
