Hi Glennis, This is not a fault with the battery, this is actually how the thermometer works. After turning the thermometer on, it will make a beep signal and the previous temperature will show up. After this, the "LO" that you are seeing is actually the signal that you are now ready to take your temperature. With a coin or tool that will grip the back cover to twist it open. I would bother though, the battery is impossible to find (ie. not in supermarkets or key cut shops or anywhere readily accessible)

If it has a lifetime warranty for replacement why would we retain the receipt??? Mine has a triangle that comes up when I turn it on. Nothing else.

Hi Merri To change from Fahrenheit to Celsius. Please see steps below: • While the Thermometer is off(screen blank), press and hold the memory button until you see “---F” on the screen • Release and press once the memory button, you will see the “---F” is switched to “---C”

• Release the memory button then the thermometer will automatically restart and get ready to take measurement

Thankyou for your enquiry and for bringing to our attention that the Operating Manual is missing for this product on our website - we're currently uploading it and it should be available very shortly. This manual has both Celcius and Farenheit temperature explainations. Basically, a rectal temperature is generally 0.5 degrees Celcius higher, and underarm temperature 0.5 degrees lower than measurements taken by mouth (oral). Ear (tympanic) temperatures are a completely different method again and can be up to 0.6 degrees celcius higher than an oral temperature. If you feel you are having issues with your thermometer, we are happy to have it tested and replace it if faulty. Just call our customer service team on frecall 1800 655 941 during business hours. They can also email you a copy of the manual, which has all the symbols and displays and their explanations. "Lo" simply means the thermometer is calibrated and ready to be used. Hi Alisha, thanks for getting in touch. As the LCD display is not working, the thermometer should not be used as it's possible there is damage to the measuring sensor. Press and hold the button when it is off. Quickly release your finger when you see "M" disapprea from the screen. Then one short press on the button again. It will change from "F" to "C". Just figure it out
