Hi, has anyone had the issue of charged battery into line trimmer. Start trimmer which then stops after approx 10 seconds. Battery is OK (tested in Victa mower).....any ideas please?
Where can I but a replacement bumper head please or is there a universal one that can be used? Thank you.

What are the thread dimensions of the standard trimmer head? Looking for an aftermarket replacement that takes 3/ 3.2 mm line.
I'm currently using the Stihl 3mm cf3 pro carbon line. It's doing me wonders. The line lasts for ages and is square so it has a sharper cut.
Battery has power lights on at the control but unit wont run
There are lights on the battery which when pressed will tell you the level of charge and a power light on the on/off panel on the trimmer itself. I found that If the battery is down to one light out of the four, the trimmer will not operate. Then it would be time to charge the battery. Likewise if there is any obstruction around the trimmer head like weeds that just won’t break then the trimmer will also not work.
I need to buy a bump line trimmer head for the 82v line trimmer as mine is worn out. Do I have to buy the whole head? or just the worn out part?. Also, where do I buy one. I can't find them on your website.
How do you replace the line in the trimmer when the lines on the spool cap have worn away and you cant line them up with the spool head? bad design to have the lines on the spool cap as this is the bit that bumps to eject more line
You're absolutely right about the poor design! It's a shocker! I'm afraid it would take me half a day to explain it from go to whoa but the first step is to take the refill and unwind it from the package and get someone to grab both ends then walk away with you holding on to the approx. middle and so get two equal lengths. For the rest YouTube has many demonstrations. Also, don't forget the manual!

Snapper in the US sell the same line trimmer (rebranded). They offer a 3-blade steel accessory head including the bottom pole section. So it just plugs into your existing trimmer. I've just ordered one on Amazon AU, but haven't received it yet, so can't comment further.
Or fit a weed wakker, it fits straight on you just need a large washer and nut.
Q1: How long is the distance between the bottom (line) to the very top of the machine ? Is this adjustable? Q2: What is the distance between the bottom (line) to the trigger ?

Hi Nancy O, If you have the manual it tells you or look it up at the victa website. But otherwise: Get about a metre length of trimmer line. Then on the bottom of the spool head line up the slots on the spool cap with the slots on the string head. Insert the trimmer line through the string head hole. Push the line through the other side until both lengths are equal in length. Then turn the spool cap clockwise to begin winding the trimmer line into the string head. Leave approximately 5 inches of trimmer line protruding out of each side of the spool head. I have used more than a metre trimmer line but I can not remember what the actual length I used was. If you try to load too much line on the spool it will jam the spool head. I hope this helps.

To replace the cord when it is finished and wind a new cord on, 1. Line up the slots on the spool cap with the slots on the string head. 2. Insert line through the string head hole. Push line until it exits the opposite string head hole
3. Pull the line through until there is an equal amount of line on each side.
4. Turn the spool cap clock-wise to begin winding the string into the string head.
Leave approximately 5 inches of string protruding out of each side of the head.

What i find is that to prolong the life of the string, when u are using it near edges of bricks and walls, reduce speed.
If u only have grass to cut, use higher speeds.
