Worst NBN – One of the worst services. There is an outage in Perth (Monday, 10 Feb 2025, from around 2pm onwards) as I am writing this review. I have to find a replacement. Guys please don’t take even if they offer discounts. Don’t walk away…run away.
Hopeless to deal with – Our internet dropped out a week ago. After spending and hour and a half on the phone with custoner care and running between our modem.and NBN box it was concluded it was an NBN connection to our house issue which requires Vidafone to arrange direct NBN technicians to attend our property. To date this has not occured, no one from Vodafone calls back and when wr call they say it's undet investigation??? Going to Aussie Broadband today.

restart Modem/laptops/desktops/Vodafone Router so many times....at the end, i will get bored or line will get dropped magically. I seriously suspect that Vodafone is manipulating connection speed everytime someone triggers requests to Speedtest site. Your speedtest results would be made look good for a moment, the connection speed will drop in next 5mins after your test. Do you guys have similar issue ?

Frankston Vodaphone refused request and didn't even ring me as Account holder. My mother had to ring me for me to plead my case. The lady was rude and wouldn't listen.
Very unacceptable thinking of removing all Vodafone services from my household. multiple phone contracts and internet service. Doesn't help that the hold music has lyrics like "it's not our fault" and "we are in isolation."
We are in for a long 7 day isolation with 4 children. Knowing we are paying for the premium "fast" service and getting dial up speed. Literally below 1mb.

of 40mbps is what our download speed is supposed to be cable of but it doesn't even seem to be cable of 10mbps sometimes it struggles for 1mbps Apparently the connection speed is also supposed to be better than average now I'm no expert but 600ms Ping on average is pretty horrible...
On the odd day we might get mediocre/slightly below average speeds but still quite bad...
We change to Vodafone because our previous service wasn't the best, but Vodafone blew it out of the park with how terrible Internet can be.
Great product. 100% – Perfect never cuts out and get an almost perfect speed too (average 92mbps). Installation was easy and instant and when I’ve had to contact them they have been very responsive and easy to chat to. Some tech support calls have been answered by Australian call centres too. This is fine. Do not get the optional router or it will be the opposite – I signed up to get a PS5. This was fine. I came from Aussie Broadband which is super high quality. any interruptions to connection quality when appearing in court daily. I made no hardware change to anything at all and simply switched it over at the shop, leaving the same router that has been connected to my Arris box for some years where it is. If you got the router and are complaining about the NBN service, it is my respectful submission that you ought to have read the reviews before, not after, signing up, and on your own head shall be the consequences of your negligence. That is all.
Give Vodafone a chance – Switched from another provider due to PS5 promo. Hesitant at first to sign up due to previous reviews but I gave Vodafone NBN a chance. Connected on next day after signing up. Speed is consistent and no dropouts so far. Signed up with 100/20, I am on FTTP. Getting >100mbps. Hopefully connection will stay the same. Show details

NBN was not connected (they did not initially told me this, no transparency!!) they kept calling 4-5 days in a row asking questions about wired connection, troubleshooting and all, repeating same thing every call, even though my internet was working ok. After frustrating of many many phone calls I talked to them firmly asking my internet is working and why I’m being asked to check all this. Then finally they said it’s 4G backup network and NBN connection (or transfer) haven’t been successful. They call me every day and night many many times asking for a same request “can you check light in nbn box, can you check wire connection can you resent router then they hang up saying connection should happen in 4-24 hours.” this literally repeated for 4-5 days then out of frustration I stopped answering call. They disconnected my 4G backup. Then I started calling them. We went through same process many days every day they kept promising internet will be connected between 4-24 hours but next day nothing. They initially refused my request of NBN technician. When I finally told them that I was going to leave them they said they will request NBN technician but the availability is only after 7 days!! NBN technician phone called me and said nothing wrong from their end!! Same thing goes with mobile phone internet. There was no reception of mobile data at all!! They asked me to reset settings in phone and changed setting, no change with network and data status !! I was left with no wifi no mobile data for almost 3 weeks. When I complaint about mobile data they said they would get network engineer contact me within 3 business days. After about 5 days someone called saying they came onsite and nothing wrong with connection. But I couldn’t even use data to do minor online google searches not even when I went to balcony outside. I had to buy optus data only sim until I plan something permanently. After all these I finally left them then went to other provider, when I called them to cancel their service they kept tempting with 5%off, bla bla and very reluctant to cancel service (in fact they didn’t even cancel). The worst thing about their customer service is that they have hired skill-less, useless cheap labour in some corner of world and they have given them script to read -“I’m really sorry about the issue, rest assured I’m here to help you and fix the problem.”this repeats every time you call but issue never resolves. You literally feel sick of hearing it. After I moved to optus for mobile network and Aussie board and for NBN, the day after they took over everything is smooth and working. Can’t believe I put up with the Vodafone crap for so long didn’t look for so many better options in market. The network quality in current same plan of NBN is so much better. 200% better customer service who are Australia based and they don’t read script like Vodafone’s every time you call them.

changed my email address, had to go to Vodafone store to update contact details, after a while, realised that the invoice did not come and I couldn't log in to my account. Call Vodafone, to be told that my contact details were updated and they don't know why the invoice was not sent, but when they did, it came with overdue charges???? (4 years with Vodafone, never been late with payment). Until now I can't log in to my Vodafone account as they are not sending login link. When I joined Vodafone years ago, Vodafone was a very good company, but now it is DISASTER.

accounts with them because I like the SMS back up. 2 months ago moved out of one of the places so organized to cancelled one account. True Vodafone they disconnected the wrong one. So rang and organized reconnected. When they reconnected it they put it on the higher 2 plans on that account. I now need to connect another second account and first person I spoke to could resolve the over charging issue so transferred me. I started typing this review after that transfer and if they had answered before I finished writing then I would have given then a chance to resolved the issue. Again true to Vodafone form I am still on hold until I was nearly finished (over 45 min phone call). First offer was a discounted rate but only for 12 months then I had to ring them back... for their mistake. Now they give me the rate I previously (my idea) but when I asked if I would get the money back that I had over paid them because they made the mistake... cant guarantee that... I'll be going somewhere else for my other new connection. One star rating because it does go any lower... zero or negative is what they deserve.

Nbn is absolutely terrible – Connection always dropping. Never a stable connection. I'm paying for 100mbps but receiving around 20-40. At one time I went around 5 days without internet. them to also upgrade me to fttp. But whenever I contact them about it they tell me to fill a form which already did a year ago, then they tell me we're only upgrading certain customers with certain speeds. So in the end they lost a long term customer and made me look elsewhere. Hopefully I can get better service with someone else.
Worst internet ever – I got this as part of a bundle, and I feel like the old dial-up was more reliable! Ridiculous service. Very slow internet – They charged me for 100mbps and never gave me 30mbps speed. When contacted them multiple times, did not help me and they were ok for me to switch to a different provider. Didn’t even offer any assistance or reimbursement. Very rude staff

Apparently my phone number, the only one I have had for over ten years, isn’t linked to the account, even though I receive communications and One-Time Passwords from Vodafone to this number. They told me I have to go to a Vodafone store in person (I’m currently hundreds of kilometres from one) to update my details. What should be a simple process has been infuriatingly convoluted. I don’t understand how a company can’t keep their own customers details accurate, nor how they can overcomplicate and basically refuse a simple request.
Vodafone NBN is the worst Network to use in the CBD – I have moved to Melbourne city and bought myself Vodafone NBN connection and this has been pointless to this date. whatever game I played, whether its via my playstation 5 or games on my PC. Vodafone simply has zero ability to maintain a connection with gaming servers. It's equivalent to a dial up USB modem. I guarantee you wont be able to connect to any game with your friends. Crappy ping, disconnects, all day everyday. I play mainstream games with millions of users. Not a single one of my friends experienced any disconnects. Vodafone only, baby.
2. Bandwith. You guessed it, its horrific. Zero reliability in providing a decent connection for yourself and your number of family members. Want to stream Youtube, Netflix etc all at the same time after a hard day of work? Have an amazing smart TV that needs a simple connection to wifi? Good luck.
3. Reliability. As someone that works from home, having a reliable internet connection is obviously extremely important. For some reason, I experienced ridiculous trends where 12-5pm my internet would constantly disconnect and lag to the point where it was 1% of a dial up internet. I would constantly test the speed via speedtest and despite it constantly showcasing 100 mbps, it was the very opposite. Amazing bait.
4. Modem. Lord have mercy, this has to be the worst modem of all time. Built with pristine 1800's technology, the vodafone modem is the dream modem for my grandmother from the 1930s. The vodafone modem will never fail you, in being an ancient dinosaur capable of a whopping 10kb/s speed. They've also got this brilliant 3/4G backup function incase your NBN connection isn't working. It's too bad the 3/4g backup is 5x slower than my personal mobile internet. Imagine your already 1/10 NBN connection constantly disconnecting and activating the 0.1/10 4G backup that's slower than your phone. Foolproof.
5. Wifi. 0.1/10. I've got a better chance of winning a 50 leg multi than the wifi working consistently. Comes with a whopping wifi range of 1m from the modem.
6. Customer service. It's amazing that the customer service teams first response is to ask you to reset your modem like itll magically fix the worst NBN connection and modem in Australian telco history. "Please sir can you reset your modem for me one more time and make sure you wait 60s". Amazing technological consultation after waiting 45 minutes to connect to a rep.
In summary, the vodafone customer service team assured me that our NBN connection was stable. They had made an official request to NBN to ensure our connection was stable. NBN confirmed we did not need an engineer to visit our site. From a process of simple trial and elimination, it was clear that Vodafone IS the problem.
Thank me later.

it’s functioning, and NBN stating same, the Vodafone modem seems incapable of providing an NBN signal, constantly reverting to 4G backup. I have been told more than 5 times now by various Vodafone reps that my connection will be up in running within either 24 or 48 hours, and every time, this does not happen. I have undertaken all of the various trouble shooting techniques that Vodafone have requested of me - removing the 4G SIM card and antennas, swapping out Ethernet cables, hard resetting the modem itself. Nothing ever works. Avoid this service. It may be affordable, but there is a reason for that. It’s not a service.

Never received modem – My order confirmation had the correct delivery details. Then the first shipping update arrived with a previous address of mine listed for the shipping. They have yet to put a modem in the post correctly addressed. They have also directed me to go to a store, which I did, to order a second one. The store team were unable to help me because of my outstanding order I can't believe the complete lack of support or drive to fix this for a mistake that Vodafone made. Obscene.

terrible internet provider – terrible internet service, drops out every 20minutes and does not promise the same speed as offered. pretty much the fattest scam.
